The camera work during the police interview was interesting. Rotating sideways :lol

Good season finale. Wrapped up the storylines pretty well.

In my opinion this season was pretty terrible. Nothing particularly terrifying happened. It bounced all over the place and never really tied anything together. Also because it bounced all over the place from aliens, to psychos, to nazis, to demons, to angels of death it never really expanded and fleshed out any one idea, except for the whole bloody face thing.

The season had so much potential to fuck with our minds, especially because they were doing an asylum. They could have placed subtle clues that majority of the people were crazy and most of the things we saw were hallucinations. A good example of this was the Anne Frank episode.

Towards the later half it just turned into a drama.

I definitely won't be tuning in for season 3.

Great season. I wish that Briarcliff would've been more in the later episodes because i enjoyed the inner workings of the asylum, and i wish that the aliens would have been flushed out more, but this season was great either way.

I scrolled to the bottom with my eyes closed, but can someone really briefly (without spoiling) talk about what story lines are wrapped up?

Is there more exploration of the aliens arc or was it just left as is from the episode before?

I'm not gonna be able to watch until tomorrow now ;_;

I don't even think it was a what if scenario, was more or less Sister Jude warning her about the shit storm she was about to bring down on herself.

Was a pretty good ending, kind of wrapped everything up. Though I too wondered who that girl was that was with Kit and the kids when he brought Jude home, guess it was just his latest girlfriend at that moment....cause all the chicks dig Kit. I did think the end of Cardinal Howard was kind of too easy, like Arden in that regard. I suppose maybe that's why they did it.

All in all, it was a whacked out, entertaining season with some fun performances and some really good ones....which is what I thought season 1 was completely lacking.

I thought the finale was pretty satisfying. It was a lot more cathartic and slower paced than I would have guessed it to be.

I was very happy to see Lana redeem herself after last week's episode. She was so unlikable back then and I'm glad to see that her meeting with Kit in the cafe jogged her senses.

The "behind the scenes" scene, where Dylan McBloodyFace is lurking in the shadows, watching Adam Levine and his girlfriend was pretty cool. I am a little disappointed that Bloody Face hacked his arm off instead of them having a manimal bite it off though.

I thought Dylan McBloodyFace's showdown with Lana was great and it was cool that she'd been anticipating his arrival. I'm glad she was able to defend herself one last time.

Jude's final moments were quite touching and I'm glad that she got a happy ending of sorts.

Kit got abducted! :O

Looks like Kit's kids are either aliens, human/alien hybrids, or have been altered by the aliens in some way and are aware of what the aliens are up to. They seemed to know that Kit was taken by the aliens and that he wasn't really "missing" after all.

So I started off really excited for AHS but ended up hate-watching most of the first season laughing my way through what they'd throw at the wall week after week.

Given the new premise this season I figured I'd give it another shot and thought it started quite a bit stronger, though the entire alien subplot never really worked for me. Felt too out there in this already out-there world, and the cheesy effects and quick-cuts just seemed amateurish and jarring (a deliberate stylistic choice that left me cold). That said, I felt the alien issue kind of paled in comparison to the show's biggest problem: the fact that they developed all these interesting characters then limply discarded them one after another. Felt like they had beginnings and middles planned for almost the whole lot, but very few satisfying endings. It's a fun-ish show, but I'm resigned to the fact that it'll never be in that upper tier (nor, to be fair, do I really think the show runners have lofty upper-pantheon-of-TV goals for it... whatever that means).

I thought for sure that Lana would somehow be revealed to be the real Leatherface when they showed the last clip, and she was lying and orchestrating things the whole time lmao.

And gotta love that closure for them demons and aliens lol.

And for those possibly confused about the final scene, I just read a follow up from Ryan Murphy and it no way indicates this scene as a "twist." It was just an early clip that would foreshadow the season's mayhem.

Great finale. Man, Johnny (McDermott) really made me feel awful for him. He grew up to be a monster, but given his origins he didn't have much of a chance at anything else.

I like the idea that the aliens are engineering "good" people/a saviour to counter the demon spawn in the first season. Not that's happening or anything...

If it wasn't for that pesky ebay he'd have turned out to be a well adjusted citizen!

What a fantastically written finale.

You really feel for Jonny in his final moments. Lana did a great job.

I really fucking loved the way this ended, I am so happy ;_;

but so sad it's over ;_;

So Lana made all that up?

I dunno how to interpret those last bits :S

The last bit is just basically a deleted scene from episode 1 I think. I think ep 1 skipped from Lana being escorted out of Sister Jude's office to Lana and Jude out front when Bloody Face got there? It's been a while, by I think the trip down the staircase might have been skipped over. So the conversation we saw at the end of the season happened in between, and was played back at the end of the season to represent a bunch of themes that ended up being relevant.

I felt like it was a good way to sum up the season, showing us a scene before it all began and also talking about evil being looked into the face.

Notice that Jude looks into the statue's face (is that Mary?) which to me was Murphy's stab at religion. While it also kind of reminds you of the scene where Jonny and Lana are looking at each other up close.

I really do feel like it was Murphy / the director trying to illustrate how we are all evil in different ways.

I don't really know how to interpret it, but I like the idea that Lana made it all up for a book series. The logistics of it don't quite work, but it's an interesting idea.

I realise we don't know much about Lana outside of what we see, but besides the taste of fame she got (and subsequently became a bitch for) I don't see her as the kind of person who would do this.

That makes literally the entire season a fabrication, including the modern day stuff, but that doesn't mean it couldn't be a valid interpretation.

Well, see, if it was a book series, she'd write herself as sympathetic!

How old is she in the modern scenes? She looked really young. They probably should have given her grey hair or something. It looked off.

Oh, I see, so the absolute WHOLE thing was a big ruse.

I guess it's a cool interpretation but then I would like to think all of the blood pressure increased by this season happened due to things that actually happened *.*

Fuck this season was so good. That ending was so classy. I just loved the way they framed it all.

The director did a great job, he is returning and doing a majority of Season 3. A true visionary *.* (Alfonso Gomez-Rejon or something.)

He directed "I Am Anne Franke Part 2", "Spilt Milk" and "Madness Ends" in total. I think he might be my favourite in the whole season.

He also directed the Home Invasion episode of the first season, which was easily one of my standouts (albeit a little more reserved in terms of narrative).

I'm pretty sure I remember the interviewer mentioning about how good she looked and Lana mentioned something about having a great surgeon.

All in all, I really liked this season of AHS. Like someone else mentioned before, I loved a lot of the camera angles used in this episode. Some interesting shots for sure. I too am eager to see what they have planned for a third season.
