LOL it's face. I wonder if they'll recast this cast member

Mo Ryan's twitter:

Weirdest statement you may read all day: I just watched S2 premiere of #AmericanHorrorStory -- and I liked it! Are End Times nigh??

I've now seen Episode2 of #AmericanHorrorStory S2. I liked Ep2 also. RT if you think I'm going to hell. As the nuns who taught me often did.

Crazy. I think that she was one of the most vocal haters of the first season, at least out of the critics that I regularly read. I'm even more excited now.

I really hope that with the bigger budget they manage to get more attention. I really enjoy this series so far and really cannot wait to see where they take it. If they play their cards right the possibilities will be endless.

Oh wow, I hope this is a case of a broken clock being right twice a day because in a world of hacky television critics Mo Ryan is perhaps the stupidest of them all.

lol wow

Why do you say that?

Her taste is awful, her articles are frequently baffling and her podcast is abysmal. I mean, someone like Sepinwall or many of the AV Club writers have questionable taste too, but at least I can usually understand where they're coming from when I finish a piece they've written. Sometimes Mo Ryan just loses me, though I don't really read her that much anymore.

I guess she isn't my absolute least favorite critic though. That was a bit unfair. My actual least favorite would be be Todd Vanderwerff from the AVClub.

Her taste is just that: taste. She generally likes the shows that other critics like (Mad Men, Homeland, Breaking Bad, etc.) and she generally dislikes the shows the other critics dislike (Work It, Guys with Kids, etc.) but she's also an unabashed fan of sci fi and supernatural shows, which is something that I find refreshing.

It's not like she's Armond White or anything.

I generally enjoy her podcast so I'm curious as to why you think it's abysmal. She does talk A LOT more than her co host though, which can get a little annoying.

I don't really read many of her articles, so I can't comment on that.

Sepinwall - Season 2 review

Given the short attention span they've demonstrated on this show, on "Glee," "Nip/Tuck," etc., turning "American Horror Story" into a series of miniseries makes better use of Murphy and Falchuk's skills and interests — but ultimately, it's the exact same tedious show they've been making, under one name or another, for years now.

Vulture - Season 2 review

The word refinement seems a strange adjective to apply to American Horror Story, but it fits. This is still a cheeky, trashy, nasty series, one that’ll do or show pretty much anything if it thinks it’ll get a rise out of you. But its sense of itself has become more refined; Murphy and Falchuk seem to have figured out not just what the show is formally but also thematically: a campy soap that turns societal taboos and changing mores into fodder for horrific nightmare images.

Sepinwall doesn't like it, so it must be good. His hatred for Ryan Murphy is amusing.

I guess this show won't be a Chuck caliber masterpiece.

Love how Sepinwall spoiled the entire first season in his first paragraph. No way there could be newcomers to an anthology series, right?

Blinded by the luminous glory that is David Bowie's physical manifestation.
Wow, Jessica Lange looks completely different here than Season 1. Amazing.

Also I didn't know it aired tonight. Guess I'll watch even if Season 1 kinda nose-dived until the end.

While his ass is very nice, like Ratsky said... it's not worth it. Unless of course all he does is walk naked through a room and say nothing then he is welcome.

Connie Britton and Dylan McDermott were both horrible actors saved by a great supporting cast. So happy Jessica Lange is starring this time. High hopes. Super excited.

I watched the first 2 episodes of the first season and it's alright. Nothing amazing, I'd say entertaining. I'm going to try this season out though and finish the first.
