Don't know if that was all freestyle or not, but it was still pretty badass.

I would have sent him to Hollywood just to see what he'd come up with next.

See, I knew I recognized the rapping guy the SECOND he walked into the room. I kept thinking of where I had seen him before, and then it hit me.

First off, I had just recently watched a commercial for "FilmFakers" which he was in. And, he was in an episode of Trading Spaces that I watched a few years back. Thus, I picked up on it automatically, and then looked up his name on IMDB, found the connection.

Looks like American Idol has been Punk'd. Or whatever the generic, non-Ashton Kutcher-tainted equivalent of the word is.

Viewers this week thought they saw a chipper guy-nanny rapper get the slap-down from an unsuspecting Simon Cowell and friends, then retreat in a bleeping diatribe.

What they really saw was a desperate bid for attention by comedian Chris Wylde, who briefly starred in 2001's The Chris Wylde Show for Comedy Central, Defamer.com reports. He also appeared as a hipster in the Hollywood edition of Trading Spaces.

Are you talking about the lady that sold her ring? If so, I agree. They let some questionable people through (the black chick with the drawbridge mouth) but sent that poor woman home. She looked really depressed after she got kicked off.

It's really unfortunate that she had to go (because she obviously has a lot of heart), but I don't think that she's that great of a singer. Relative to all the other contestants who moved onto the next round, her voice just didn't have that "powerhouse" sound to it.

Girl who sang "How Will I Know": Top 10

That 'rockers' segment was so unintentionally hilarious.

From what we've seen so far, my money's on Anthony (the blond kid with glasses who'd had a tracheotemy when he was a kid).

I like they guy who's father said he wouldn't amount to anything or something like that...at the very least, at least this season has some decent men...last season the talent was clearly slanted in the women's favor.

Dude, that was so terrible. Don't deny it. Her Phantom of the Opera thing was fine; she's a Soprano, after all. But that is all she can do, and she proved it here.

Loved the twin getting cut after going through all of that. Good times.

I'm watching the Cleveland/Orlando auditions.

Did LL Cool J get a face lift or something? Ever since "Headsprung" came out, I've noticed that his face just doesn't look like it used to.

Hey guys, I've been watching the show. But here in Latin America it's running a little behind.

I was wondering what exactly happened with that big black girl that all the judges hugged? Because they cut their singing part. Was it the same in the US or did you guys know what actually happened?

She came into the audition crying and upset (because her sister was just told no) ... and then sang very poorly. So LL got up and gave her a hug .. and then all the judges did too.

Wow, Briana was looking quite frightening tonight, and didn't sound great. Too bad, she was the one I looked forward to seeing the most.

I hope the tracheotemy-Clay Aiken wanna be doesn't get far. But you can tell Simon has a hard-on for him, so he's definitely making the final 12 if not further.

There were some questionables, but I would have kicked off the woman who pawned her weding ring as well. Her voice just wasn't strong enough. The girl who quit while she was DAMN FINE, she didn't have the greatest voice either, so it wasn't a huge loss.

I want to see what happens to the James Brown kid. They better not just have him disappear without showing what happened.

Clays the most popular of any of the AI contestants so that's one reason he wants him. Even if his voice isn't all that great, he's basically money in the bank for Simon.

He has a better voice and more talent than Clay had at the END of the competition, and the competition is only beginning. Anthony's going to the top 12 at least -- he's going to have to screw up not to. Why the hate? The kid's got talent.

The one thing I noticed is that Simon HATES guys that look/sound like 'boy band' rejects. Which is ironic, because that is how he got his first big success in the UK.

I hope the rock singer that quit the band does well, he seems to have great work ethics and a cool style. He seemed to be doing pretty damn well with those dance steps.

Yeah...that's great that he's adapting so well to a totally different environment (unless he is a closet Backstreet Boy :D)

Simon really scammed the guy that was holding the stuffed bear. He could have given him a second chance, especially after the last group got a break.

every year the group part of the auditions is the best. you see what kind of people they actually are. kinda easy to filter out the dickheads.
