Amplitude (Harmonix) PS3/PS4 - KS (Funded, final day)

Man, I wish I could jump my pledge up, but the $125 I put up is already gonna put me in the ramen house for the rest of the month. Oh jesus, they're gonna be $75 short at the end of all this, I can feel it.

FORGIVE MEEEEEE

FORGIVE MEEEEEE

You have my personal guarantee that if it ends up $75 short, I'll add $75 to my pledge. Now you can rest easy.

This is the first Kickstarter I've backed that's actually managed to get me a little stressed out, and I'll be legitimately bummed if it doesn't make it. I MUST HAVE THIS GAME!

Wait how are you guys planning on playing? I'm debating on setting up my DS4 like DJ MAX with the three notes on Square, Cross, and Circle and Left, Down, and Right on the D-Pad. That way, I can set up the track switch on L1/R1.

L1, R1, and R2, with right and left on the D-pad for switching tracks, just like Amplitude and Frequency.

Just pledged, first time backing a Kickstarter too. I just loved Frequency and Amplitude too much to pass this up. Two of my favorite PS2 games.

Now the anxious wait begins.

shu and his gang

It would make a lot of sense for them.
Getting a true exclusive on a quality game from a series that people have been hearing about for over a decade for fifty or a hundred grand would be quite a bargain.

Chipped in $40. I've never played the originals, but they look pretty cool. This is half me wanting the game, and half me helping ensure a friend who's a big fan of the series (and a backer) gets the game.

It's the second kickstarter I've backed, the other being Planetary Annihilation.

Happy to see it's picked up near the end... think I'm going to hold strong with my original pledge though. The nagging mentality that I need to kick in more to ensure a project happens is a kickstarter mindset that I'm getting myself away from.

The rest of you should totally do it though :)

It looked grim a couple of days ago, but it's now become obvious this will make it.

Not at all obvious unless you assume Sony or HMX are going to jump in at the last minute.
The number of new contributors is not going up very fast.
Most growth is going to have to come from people upping their amount and a lot of people are at their limit. The average is already crazy high.

Yesterday was actually the biggest day

That's a lot of progress in the last couple of days. I wish they had a Vita version, even as a post-release port job :(

Not meeting a stretch goal doesn't mean it won't happen, of course. If it sells okay off the bat, they may well be inclined to work on a Vita iteration. No guarantee of it, though.

$67 average, holy crap. This could be the highest average for a possibly successful Game KS.

Was hoping they'd be at 600k when I woke up, but still, very close. Pretty much there, actually. I think they'll make it now, and if not, knock on wood, it would be extra heartbreaking now.

I will pledge as soon as their is a Vita stretch goal and it is confirmed that if that goal is reached that version is included in the Cross-Buy deal.

This KS wont reach any stretch goals.

Nice to see this coming through! A successful console exclusive kickstarter can open up some cool possibilities.
Nothing has been achieved at the moment.
This Kickstarter still needs a lot of help.
Therefore --> Post it on twitter/facebook! If you are interested in it -> Back it now!

Because there isn't any stretch goals to reach. If they maintain the momentum, 900k is possible. People are willing to open their wallet to this KS, HMX should leverage it.

Pfft. A lot of contributors are really pushing it with their pledges. I expect many of them to start reducing their pledges as soon as funding goes over the goal.

True. Without stretch goals, that's what is coming down to.

Even with stretch goals it would be the same thing, barring some incredible music licensing goals. No way would Vita prevent most people from paring down their pledges.

You can reduce your pledge after the goal is reached as long as it doesn't put the Kickstarter under its goal. People who made pledges that they couldn't afford comfortably (and there are many for this one) will do that. Believe this.

True. Without stretch goals, that's what is coming down to.

Vita version is a stretch goal noted in their FAQ, I think once they get close they will post it officially. Until yesterday or the day before their original goal didn't seem that attainable, so posting a stretch goal wouldn't have made sense.

At the same time, they will gain new pledges from vita fence sitters, just like me. Several KS reached the Vita stretch goals, but people won't pledge if the stretch goal is at hand.

even if it doesn't quite make it, the fact they've gotten so much money (compared to other kickstarter goals) while still being exclusive to a single platform is a big deal. it shows there are more then enough people willing to fund an exclusive console title, and that the PC guys are NOT needed, despite how much they think they are all that matters when it comes to funding a kickstarter.

hopefully it'll lead to more exclusives. and potentially even more revivals of once dead exclusive franchises. new tomba/tombi anyone?
