You can pledge now, no money changes hands until after it's over. Thanks for the replies, guys!
I'll be sure to donate $40 when my check comes through in the morning
Wow that's super cool!So I was throwing out a bunch of old artwork I've been meaning to get rid of, and serendipitously found this pic I made in May of 2003. I had no idea I still had it 11 years later!! Thought some of you in here might appreciate this reminder of how obsessed I was with the original game.

It was done with a bunch of glow in the dark pens and highlighters. Unfortunately a lot of the ink has faded and no longer glows in the dark or really responds to black light... It used to look so cool at night.
If any EDM artist will make it, I bet it will be him. Come on, Somnambulist. Oh god yes. Heck, he could get his own stage. Flaming June, Somnambulist, Skylarking, The Emergency...
Hopefully they'll spend the overage on music licensing when the stretch goal fails.
especially you crazy wonderful people who never played the original.
That stretch goal is bs. Why even announce it, if there is no chance?

Wow! Gotta admit, I didn't think it would make it, gotta give props to Harmonix for not giving up and basically busting their butt to get to the goal. It'll be some delicious crow.
It's a shame that they won't be able to reach stretch goals though, no online play really hurts.
Also, I wonder how the financial situation will be with them and Sony. To be completely honest, if Sony gets any of the money from the future sales (That don't have to do with it being on PSN of course) it's going to feel kind of dirty for me.

Should have gone with a 875K Vita Stretch goal.

My post made nothing but sense. It's logic is completely sound.
Using Sony money to pay people to advertise a Sony IP to help fund it's development is sleazy.

I honestly thought this would never make it after the disastrous first days. I'm happy for the people who'll get to play it.
I'll grab it down the road as a PS+ discount or something.
Edit : That stretch goal is nuts. 400k for head to head online play? In 24 hours? Yeah, THAT's not happening
There's no way to bring your donations to a screeching halt like an impossible stretch goal that an extremely limited portion of your fanbase would care about. It's almost comical how fast this thread went from ^_^ to =\
So freaking awesome. Gj Harmonix for not loosing hope when most other of us did. Also a good showing that PC isn't a must. A shame it is not for Vita instead of PS3 though.
Vita stretch goal probably would have been over a million anyway.
Just when I had lost hope... what turned it around?
There's one huge advantage to designing a rhythm game for a handheld -- the input delay is a fixed and known quantity. Try playing the Vita and PS3 versions of Project Diva. The Vita one is tuned properly for the Vita's display lag, whereas you have to mess with calibration on the PS3 since there are 3456436432 displays and audio setups all with varying amounts of lag, and you can never get it quite right. It's less of an issue with Harmonix's games as they generally tend to have very loose timing windows (although Frequency/Amplitude is far stricter than Guitar Hero/Rock Band are).Be realistic here, the vita backers would be a fraction of that.
Personally, I don't think the vita is well suited for rhythm games, but that is just me. Small buttons + clicky = pain in the fingers.
This isn't particularly constructive or positive, especially when the project is probably only barely going to meet/exceed funding.

Man, I really wish that vinyl tier was like $100 and not $200...
