Why does Verizon has a say in what Motorola does? I don't get it.
It IS their network.

verizon will have a hard time selling phones that are all the same, so they don't want all android phones to rock stock. Why does Verizon has a say in what Motorola does? I don't get it.

Which is stupid because there would still be differentiators in hardware and whatnot. Also no one is really doing it aside from nexus phones so why not let motorola.
Also fuck carriers. They work for themselves, not you.

What are we looking at?
Some functions moved to the search bar.
4.2?
I don't like it just for the fact that the app button is in the top left. You shittin' me?
Maybe you need a smaller phone, something that was designed to fit your hands.
I suggest an iPhone.
Got damn. HTC's 5" 1080p phone: http://www.theverge.com/2012/10/17/...nning-5-inch-1080p-j-butterfly-phone-in-japan
Holy shit is this real life
5" 1080p screens in your phone, while a fair amount of mid-range laptops still sport 768p bullshit.
Welcome to the future
The Surface has 768p too, everyone point and laugh!
I wonder what Apple is going to do when 1080p Android phones appear first. It's Resolutionary!
Tim Cook said:The human eye cannot see any difference between Retina and higher resolutions, making 1080p displays a huge battery drain with no advantage whatsoever. Also, there no way your thumb can reach across that screen
I'm intrigued by the "With Google" on the HTC phone.
Isn't the bolded part what the fake rumour said a few weeks back? I.e. there has been no confirmation whatsoever about any Google Experience program?"with Google" just designates that the device has qualified in the Google Experience program and officially has access to Google Play and the closed-source Google Apps. There's nothing exciting about it.
I think it's interesting that the LG Optimus G is going to be available on AT&T and Sprint, but not Verizon. But the LG Nexus 4 is supposedly built on the Optimus G's hardware platform. What if this means that as with the Galaxy Nexus, the Nexus 4 will again be carrier-exclusive to Verizon (hence no need for a Verizon Optimus G) and sold unlocked on Google Play? I know that later on Sprint got the Galaxy Nexus too, but it seems strange to me that Verizon is ignoring this new flagship LG device, especially since Verizon actually got the Optimus Vu (LG Intuition).

The idea of Google experience devices has existed for a long time. Early android devices that provided a sanctioned Google experience were labeled on the back of the device with the phrase with Google. In time, this label disappeared, but the notion that some devices offered an explicitly sanctioned experience by Google did not.
I think it's a image of the app drawer (just not populated with apps). Pressing the top left would take you back to the home screen, but you could alternatively press the home or back button to get there.I don't like it just for the fact that the app button is in the top left. You shittin' me?
It says it on the back of the HTC J as well, which seems to have been out for a few months. It's probably just how they brand their Android phones. I doubt it means anything special.I'm intrigued by the "With Google" on the HTC phone.
Give me that J Butterfly, with on screen buttons, make it slightly thicker so it can have a bigger battery and make it a nexus device.
Fucking DAY ONE.
Haven't got any experiences with them, but on a mainstream Dutch forum I regularly visit they're absolutely crazy about Ainol tablets. They're cheap and give great value for the price you pay. I believe the Crystal is the follow-up to the Aurora II? That one got loads of praise, I'd say you made an excellent choice (in Chinese tablet territory).
Why is the battery so bad on the HTC J anyway. You would think such a big string would require more battery life but it has less than the One X+.
It's a great irony that despite all the options and variety with android phones, there's never that one perfect one. So very annoying.
are sony cameras that good? the one on my x10 (i know it's 2 year old phone) isn't that good.

I was actually thinking about the same thing while reading all the posts. It thought something similar to the padphone would really close to perfection if they upped the resolution of the tablet and add in capacitative stylus. It's a great irony that despite all the options and variety with android phones, there's never that one perfect one. Not sure how Motorola has to cow tow to Verizon...
Just put your phones on other carriers...
Verizon should only get a say in some apps that go on the phone, not the UI
all those Nokia phones use to look the same too.
also...
DAT HTC J BUTTA BABY
that's some new hotness shit right there...
just please have a micro sdxc slot please for the love of God... oh and i'll hold out for the inevitable HTC One J+ Beats Edition. I'm sure it will be an AT&T exlusive, unless Verizon grabs this and calls it the Droid Omega or something...
