Only if you take a picture with it filled back i guess. My s note cover thingy doesn't block the camera but it has a see through cover that just make photos wrote.

Fuck 4.4.2

It's destroying my Note's battery and is always "Awake" but I don't know a good wakelock app to check for, especially as they blocked the normal WakeLock app. :(

Help!

Any Pebble users download 2.0? I feel like the app is so slow and unresponsive. Its so bad. I hope they fix it soon. On the other hand there are a bevy of new and decent apps.

It seems samsung‘s updates are fast but quite buggy, heard of a lot of issues for their 4.3 update and now 4.4.2 too. I finally had the chance to get a S4(snapdragon 800 version) for my wife as an upgrade for her optimus g, and when i get it next week i don‘t know if update it or wait for the next fw that hopefully fixes the bugs

I just rooted my Nexus 4 and installed some Xposed Framework modules. It definitely beats flashing a custom ROM (I used to be a heavy flasher).

I. LOVE. IT.

Have you Galaxy users tried Milk Music yet?
I'm actually having a pretty good time with it at the gym. The genre playlists are actually pretty varied and the interface doesn't suck as bad as most Samsung apps usually do. It's been pretty useful at the gym so far. The "skip 6 times only" thing sucks, though.

Do any of you guys have a recommendation for a good music widget?

I would love something thats like 4x4 or 5x5 and would show 4 random albums from my music library, but I doubt that exists, haha.

Really? What carrier?

I have a T-Mobile Note 3, and the battery seems better than ever with 4.4.2.

Not much screen time, but almost all of it was browsing with Chrome on HSPA+.

it appears to be only superficial damage tho.. phone works fine otherwise

would you guys risk buying the replacement and try to do it yourselves, or is it worth it to have them apply it for you for a price?

TWRP 2.7 has landed!

What's new in 2.7.0.0:

Faster graphics rendering by disabling alpha blending on fully opaque objects thanks to Tassadar

Allow sideloading from /tmp on encrypted devices

Check for a crypto footer before asking for a password to prevent user confusion

Additional checks for validity to auto generated backup names

Text wrap in the console output

Proper caps lock support in the keyboard

Mouse support via USB OTG for devices with a broken digitizer

Improve scanning of storage locations for OpenRecoveryScript

Haptic feedback for buttons, keyboard, and vibration at the end of longer running actions

Fixed ext4 wiping when no selinux contexts are defined for that partition (e.g. sd-ext)

Update SuperSU to 1.93 and improve installation process

Added selinux contexts restoration to fix permissions

Load RTC offset on Qualcomm devices to fix the date/time in recovery

USB Mass Storage fixes Add SELinux support checking

Add Disk Usage class to better handle excluded folders (e.g. Google Music cache)

Add 4.4 decrypt support

Add some toolbox utilities to TWRP (namely to support SELinux functions not supported
in busybox)

Various SELinux fixes and bug fixes

Note: 2.7 marks the first time that we are dropping support for older devices. We are doing this because of the SELinux support needed to install 4.4 Kit Kat ROMs. The non-TWRP parts of the recovery image have to be built in at least a 4.1 tree and the kernel that is included in the recovery image has to support writing SELinux contexts. We don't own most of the devices that we support so we depend on outside testers and developers to help us update devices. In many cases we can't find someone readily. Come to #twrp on Freenode if you want to help bring your device up to date. You can tell right away if your device will support 4.4 ROMs in 2.7. Boot TWRP and press the console button (the square-ish button either in the bottom middle or upper right) to view the console output. If it doesn't say "Full SELinux support" in the console, then your device still needs some work. Help us help you.

PS: YAY! I along with many others can run official TWRP no verses a modified version for individual devices to get things SELinux compatible.

going to upgrade from 4.3 to 4.4.2 on my Note 3
any suggestions on what's the best way to backup everything?

I have WhatsApp, Media files, SMS that I would like to backup :X
I have Titanium Backup - but what else should I look into?

There‘s a rumour that the lg g3 may be waterproof too, hopefully this is true. I think all flaghships should have this feature as standard.

SMS Backup & Restore to backup SMS. Media Files like music? Just copy and paste it to your computer.

Before updated, do a Titanium backup and a NANdroid backup (backup with your recovery) just in case.

Just get a bandaid to fix that. :)

Asked this in the Nexus 5 thread, but no one answered...

What car dock is everyone using for their Nexus 5? There is no official one, right? I want one that is sleek and sexy but all the generic docks are hideously ugly. I like the look and idea behind the Air Dock, but I don't think it is being sold in stores. Any suggestions?

Is anyone else using maxthon browser? Ive just recently discovered it and I think it may be my favorite one so far!
Currently checking it out and I'm digging it. Will test it out for a week to see what I like and don't like. Thanks for the suggestion. So far so good.

Unconfirmed reports that the Z2 has been delayed outside of Europe because of significantly higher than expected retail and consumer orders in Europe. Waiting for confirmation, but I have it from two retail people in the UK that they have been given priority status by Sony to capitalise on the massive buzz surrounding the Z2.

It also lines up with SMC's internal goal that they want to outsell the S5 in Europe and displace Samsung as the number one Android flagship in Europe.

RoW launch will commence in the third week of May which is a six week delay.

"Incremental update with a new gimmick" seems to be the new smartphone trend for 2014.

i wonder when will android manufacturers make like nokia and deliver a good camera experience(fora smartphone, or at least comparable to best devices), i mean, instead of weird cameras, dual cameras, ultrapixels and such, just put a good sensor, make good software, and done. Apple's doing fine with a 8MP sensor, and Nokia is also delivering good products like 925 wit a 8,7MP sensor too.

Isn't the S4 a good camera? And from what I've heard at least for the time being, the S5 camera is really good as well. Samsung needs to just add OIS and they'll have themselves a camera that is above everyone in the android space.

LOL @ everyone copying LG now as well (or Nokia if you're a smartass).

That's good and all but Samsung gonna steam roll the shit out of Sony in America if they release in May while the Galaxy hits in April.

Plus it gives HTC a window to be the "alternative" at least for a window.

It's another tale of Sony being LTTP again in America.

Just received Kit Kat on my T-mo G2 and not really much of a difference that I'm noticing. It does feel a bit more responsive and faster though which is nice. Need a few days to test battery though.

I wonder what Apple's How Do I Sell It column looks like.
