I expected the s7 to continue samsungs bomba ways the last few years but man early pre-order numbers are....just lol.
It's a bit surprising because usually they start off pretty decent and then it just goes on a steep decline but so far. Not good. It's early though. And only one country.
i got a galaxy s5 for my wife. is their any good launchers to use or is rooting it worth it (cyanogenmod or something else)?

Buying off brand chinese phones, especially ones running Android, gives me the willies. Probably unfounded fear.
I still can't find an Android mail client I don't hate, and Inbox shuts down tomorrow.
Alto was laggy as shit, Boxer had weird swiping actions and the notification buttons weren't great and Inbox doesn't support iCloud. I like having a separate client to avoid getting mixed up and I use my Gmail app for work.
Wait...Inbox is shutting down?
Xiaomi isn't off brand though? I get the concern, but I'd hardly call one of the 5 largest smartphone manufactures in the world off brand.
The post above yours does illustrate what I was saying though.
Why pay $700 for a Samsung when you can get 90% of the experience for a fraction of the cost?

Xiaomi has kind of made me hesitant to buy an S7 now that I see they are able to put out a beautiful device with an 820 starting at $270.
The Xperia Z line has reached its culmination Xperia X series represents a new chapter and evolution of our product strategy. Whilst the Xperia Z series was all about bringing the best of Sonys advanced technologies to smartphones, Xperia X series is based on bringing smart, adaptive Sony user experiences across camera, battery performance and hardware / software design.
I use BlueMail and haven't had any problems with it.I still can't find an Android mail client I don't hate, and Inbox shuts down tomorrow.

Really don't like that chamfered edge on the One M10. Just doesn't look right for some reason.
Do you live in China/India?
No. I'm not sure if HSPA+ would be hard to get by on though.
Anyone have any insight or experience on what it's like to live without LTE?
I've got a Nexus 6P on the way. I've had an S5 for two years now, and it just doesn't sit with me. TouchWiz is just gross. I'm looking forward to going back to vanilla Android.

For me the best thing about LTE is the reduced latency which makes it feel like I'm on wifi. I've pulled 10mbps on HSPA+ but it still feels sluggish since sometimes servers ping at like 400ms.
even though my carrier puts the little 4G symbol on my status bar my DL speed is like 200Kb/s -_-
it's fine for web browsing but does get annoying for some things and downloading apps is a no go.
Makes it look fatter than it is.
Tom Warren, the bitter Microsoft hack at the Verge, is teasing a Cyanogen OS phone from Microsoft.
