Android |OT7| Now With a Whole New Messaging System

Looking at the comments and testimonials from people everywhere on the internet, the majority of Note 7 owners and potential future buyers of the Note 7 seem to be switching to iPhones.

Samsung may have just ruined the reputation of Android.

For lots of people, there's only two choices when it comes to phones: iPhone or Galaxy.

That's the power of marketing (and the lack thereof, for other OEMs). And obviously, if your new Galaxy phone is in serious danger of exploding, most people would be hesitant to buy another.

the downside of samsung being synonymous with android. Google must be face palming.

Honor 8 sale at BB ended yesterday. It wasn't meant to be.

its selling like crap apparently so expect another sale sooner than later.

like if you google search any 'flagship' android, will lead you to threads about boot loops and other horror stories probably, and its not like there's been any other 'stand out' flagship phone that you can be scammed into paying installments at verizon etc.

Wonder if motoz will get any bumps? Seems like an eye catching phone compare to others?

Wonder if people will look at chinese phones, but apparently america hates the chinese.

I think outside of gaming VR has little to no application

I think it has plenty. Real estate, training, tourism to name three.

And I think VR on phones will be the mainstream of VR. These super expensive headset are all going to fail to get beyond a niche.

I've used it since cardboard, i don't know why you waited so long.

Card board looked like trash to me. Daydream sweat pants headset seem more reasonable. Also, I have a Nexus 5. One reason I'm buying the Pixel XL is for the increased resolution, although I'm guessing VR porn is not really above 1080P anyways? AMOLED screen has to be better what I'm currently rocking.

gonna be weird when google assistant comments about that in a later conversation.
She'll leave me faster than Scarlett Johansson in Her when she finds out what freaky shit I'm into.

How is the Moto z play getting such incredible battery life? It's only got a 3500mah battery.

Cortex A53 + system optimisations I guess - I would imagine mostly cortex A53 and the fact that display is 1080p

galaxy S7 Edge has great battery life (not as good as Z Play) and its powering a 1440p display, higher power chip and is only 100mAh more.

The resolution in the VR porn that i have is 3000 x 1500 @50fps

Cant wait for next week.

No one is going to give a shit about sd cards, wireless charging and water proofing when the Pixel reviews starting trickling in. Everyone is going to find out the Pixel phones offer a far smoother UI experience than any Android phone on the market.

Want iPhone level smoothness on Android then Pixel is your only option. Period

Don't forget to quote me if I'm wrong so I can eat crow.
I'm pretty sure flossy Carter said the new Motos were that phone. And his word is bond.

OMG, this is why B&M is dying on the vine. I just want to put in a pre-order for a Moto Z Play - no activation, no nothing and I'm stuck waiting behind all these people replacing their Note 7s and taking forever, why do these activations take so damn long.

Bboy AJ

My dog was murdered by a 3.5mm audio port and I will not rest until the standard is dead
actually, my plan is to hold onto the phone until the Note 8, then come into the store saying "i heard there was a recall on this" and even trading it.

that's a given
This is hilarious and genius.

Where do I buy a Note 7? I kind of want one now, now that I know it'll be exclusive.

lower power cpu and it's only 1080p. 1080p makes a big difference when it comes to battery as opposed to QHD.
Same reason why Sony phones tend to get better battery life compared to LG/HTC ones of similar spec: lower res screens (and in some cases less memory, since that also eats battery power).

Except it doesn't. Objectively, any OIS flagship is inherently superior to an EIS suction for image stabilization, the loss of actual sensor space doesn't cease to matter because of fanboyism. The application of a software solution can be applied in conjunction with OIS, OIS cannot be applied to phones without it.

Edit, as an example- had the Pixel been using OIS on the same sensor you'd still have better results that what's currently being delivered as per physics and optics where the lens assembly is moved parallel to the image plane resulting in the full use of the sensor.

You have never used a pixel but this person has.

(Don't get too excited about SOT since he has no SIM but holy shit at the EIS.)

And this is for the haters that were saying the Nexus 6 wouldn't get 7.1

Osiris, I like your style 👏🏾👏🏾

A true Android Purist... Unlike the plebs in this thread lol 🙂

The one who keeps faith and honest reservation when the rest would rather react and lash out

Im more than happy with my Axon 7. I hope more Samsung owners start looking at other android devices and don't just consider iphones. The key is for phone makers to make quality alternatives next year. I think HTC has it in them and maybe LG can get itself straightened out. I'm not sure if Motorola can gain attention beyond the hardcore android site user crowd. After that, its really up the Chinese to invade with well thought out products. The door is being held wide open for them to come in with their aluminum phones.

I like your appeal to fanboyism, as if that will somehow help your argument.

1. No shit OIS vs. no OIS (with the same software) means OIS wins.
2. That doesn't mean the Pixel can't take amazeballs pictures. (This has been my point for the last 4 posts)
3. Throwing software into the mix makes the line much more blurry. Don't underestimate algorithms.

using a 6P as main
and the Note3 as a secondary (work) phone
is very jarring ._.

the screen resolution, the difference w the onscreen/capacitative buttons
I don't miss my Note3 at all.
(I would rather type on my 6P, send it to my Note3 and then send the message out)

Ask me about the GAF Notebook
For the Note 7 user, wouldn't the LG V20 be the closest competitor?

What is a Note user?

That's the question. I mean you can't replace the S pen with no S pen. If that were the case the then S7 Edge would be the closest thing as it is basically a Note without the S Pen stuff.

The V20 is LG's bigger screened phone? It lacks a L pen though so idk how much of a competitor it is that other phones aren't already?

Those videos are pretty amazing. I think I need to test out a Pixel XL. Just wish the 128GB was in stock.

Any word on when 7.1 is gonna drop for the 6P?

If not, how easy is it to go back to marshmallow considering I've done no tinkering to my phone in regards to unlocking or anything like that.

This battery life is really burning me out.

I know they state that with the Android Beta program they say they can be unstable and all but if I joined the beta to test out 7.1 early should I be worried at all it would mess with my 5x?
