Anyone using mobile Chrome getting really high click latency on MobileGAF? I think it started when I updated to 7.1.1

Bros....my Gear S3 lasts 3 days with always on display on and almost a week with it off. Legit!

a coworker of mine got a Gear S3 yesterday and honestly, it's embarrassing how much more fluid their Tizen Watch OS is compared to Android Wear.

i mean, i should have expected that based on how fluid the Gear Fit2 is but still, seeing it in person... wow!

Oh wow, thanks for this recommendation. Looks like Press but modern. Downloaded, installed, and bought the ad removal option. Done.

Plus he doesn't shill for Dbrand every 30 seconds. That's definitely a plus.
I wonder how much he gets paid for it. Or whether Dbrand made a deal with him when he wasn't as big a star, requiring him to mention them in every review.

Says who?
Pyro is usually on the money so I believe him. Also, be assured Google is still flying by the seat of their pants on Pixel 2.

Is Android Wear even a thing anymore? Where are the successors to the Huawei Watch and Moto 360? What were the high profile Android Wear watches this year and where is the 2.0 update? It all seems kinda dead.

Asus Zenwatch 3!

new beta out today!

Not a fan of the ZenWatch 3 design. The lugs kinda ruin it. Also, no heart rate monitor is a big bust for me.

And no one cares about betas. It should be on 3.0 by now. They definitely have been slacking this year. I wonder when they're going to ditch the platform for something new.

I'm pretty happy with my smart watch. It's limited in functionality but it is extremely convenient. They just need to nail the hardware. The hardware is incredibly important and manufacturers don't seem to have figured it out. Even Apple is struggling.

Software is fine for now, other than lack of NFC.

Says who?
me lol. I personally don't think it will stick but it is definitely the target at the moment.

I'd give the S8 and G6 targets too but they're same timeframe as always give or take. S8 is actually looking like a ~month later than the S7 at the latest. I forgot the S7 came out early March.

Gboard is soooo good. I think I have finally found a replacement for swiftkey.
Also, Nova Launcher keeps on delivering great updates. Best purchase on Android.

I really wish Google would come out with another 7-8" tablet. Perhaps a Pixel XXL. My 2013 Nexus is starting to show little issues that I'm sure are only going to get worse. My only other options seem to be a Galaxy Tab or going back to an iPad Mini.I picked up one of the cheap Fire tablets over BF, and it's not an option.

I'm so dedicated to stock Android at this point I don't even consider things seriously that don't have it.

I had to roll back to Google Keyboard. The Gboard update turned my phone into an even more laggy piece of trash. I'll wait until I get the update proper through Google Play.

Yeah, Nova is awesome. Bought it for like 25¢ a few years ago, but it's easily worth the normal price. I'm thinking of trying Action Launcher, though. It's got some pretty dope features that other launchers don't have, at least from what I can tell.

its because its sending classified data back to the home country.

How you liking the phone? Wonder if 6" is too big, but then I realize the phone is basically the same size as a iphone 6 plus.

IS EMUI 5 better? Seems to be more stockish feel.

Sold my Nexus 5 32GB for $150. Not bad for a phone that is no longer receiving security or os updates. I'll take it. I pad $450 3 years ago including tax and shipping.

My Gear VR has just arrived and I'm blown away, my first VR experience. I can only imagine what a Playstation VR or Vive look like. Anyway, any recommendations?
I tried that rollercoaster thing and I'm kind of dizzy right now hahaha

There are definitely better options, but the North Face experience has a bit of a twist...

I know it's easy to make jokes, but seeing a well done 360 porn video has definitely made me excited for the future. We just need 4k or 8k to get rid of that screen door effect. Even the high end VR headsets still have that.

Google selling the base Pixel phones with 32 GB of storage is a fucking joke. Hell the Android OS already takes up 5 GB of space.
It would be awesome if 64 is the base for such a high price but 32 is personally enough for me. Also the cloud storage options are on point compared to shitty 5gb I get on my iCloud.

which rollercoaster thing? All the ones I've seen were shit quality.

My favorite VR experience was playing Smash Hit, especially since I played the original a bunch. It turns it into an entirely different game.

The Jurassic Park demo put a smile on my face. The NBA finals part 2 series special and watching the NCAA tournament on the head set were very cool too.

Lastly, I've watched some 3D films on this as well and I'm surprised at how well it works.

Just needs a high pixel density for me to fully go all into VR. That will take some ridiculously powerful hardware from a PC perspective.

I feel like I'd be completely fine with 32GB's on a phone. I got the 128GB option for my iPhone 7 and I have 77.91GB/121.94GB's and that is with me having downloaded 21 games including big games like KOTOR and Hearthstone even though I play mobile games once in a blue moon. I also back my pictures up to Google Photos every day I take them so it isn't a huge issue either.

I didn't quote. ;_;

which company does decent ones?

Feel like the demos I've tried got the scaling all weird and I see a giant with fake tits the size of the moon.

Too bad we don't have YouTube afaik, and since it is not compatible with play store there aren't many apps and most seem quite expensive.

yeah I don't really play games much these days, outside of emulation, and gba/snes roms are tiny.

I did load up a ton of movies and tv shows for a flight though, in which a microsd card is nice.

I think the one decent one I found was from a free trial from Pornhub. There are no credits, so I couldn't tell you what production company made it. What I liked about that one, is that although the model had breasts implants(at least I think she did), they were not hideously big or anything and she had pubic hair and not all tatted and pierced and shit. I agree that most of it is crap. I don't really like most mainstream porn in general these days, but you might be able to find one like I did that can show you a possible future.

Sorta want to go buy that new Chromecast today for my birthday, but I'm not sure I can justify it.

The only reason for the purchase would be access to Play Movies in 4K as my built in TV apps already do everything else in 4K.

I wish you could use the Google Play credits. It's $10 off again everywhere I believe.

This Samsung browser update though...

This is nice...

Edit: it seems that no tech sites had picked this up. Did I actually receive an earlier update for once?

Anyways this update confirms that I'll never go back to chrome.

How many 4K movies are there in play movies? I was looking the other day and their selection seemed pretty mediocre.

By the time they have enough movies to justify it your tV will probably support the 4K version of the app.

There aren't THAT many. Mainly new movies. Stuff like Pets and Star Trek.

The thing is though maybe that's a sign that most of the newer shit coming will be 4K.

Idk I'll probably pass for now. I know the device is $10 off but I feel like if I wait another 6 months for the 4K library to improve it might be even cheaper than $10 off.

Check the Galaxy store app. The Google Play store seems to be on version 4 still, but this one they are calling version 5, so it was supposed to be a big update.

It basically has more extensions support now other than adblock. It's more secure. It's now running on chromium 51, so it's faster and it also looks more aesthetically pleasing.

I also noticed that it has that automatic scroll back top up to the beginning of the page feature that it's on the opera browser.

The Samsung store version is still showing as 4 to me.
