They do it so people dont quit when they get the drop they want. If they didnt do this it would raise a load of other issues with people leaving runs etc. I think thats why anyway...
Well if you're getting some kind of guaranteed loot drop from the end boss/end of mission I would think that would prompt players into staying through the mission and completing it. Destiny is basically the same way here and generally I've never ran into problems with people leaving early, even when getting exotic armor/weapon drops during
the mission.
No, the problem with the loot system in Anthem is that its BORING. There's no excitement when this stuff drops. It's anti-climatic. No special animations or sound effects aka "the jackpot casino" feeling like Destiny has that makes getting loot fun.\
The loot is very muted in color. It needs to be VIBRANT. As soon as you get said loot, it needs to prompt a special animation/sound effect quickly on screen like Destiny does that conveys you got some sweet loot but doesn't drag you out of the game in combat. Destiny does this amazingly well. Bioware really needs to study how loot is handled and "drops" from Destiny and pretty much steal what Bungie is doing.
And as for loot, there's NO DOUBT in my mind that Bioware will eventually have to add Javelin armor/pieces into the loot pool for drops. Why this wasn't in from the beginning is yet another oversight the team has made IMO.
