Anyone still looking to import Donkey Konga PAL?

iapetus

Scary Euro Man
Songs on the PAL edition not on the US edition (according to the universal track listing at GameFAQs):
99 Red Balloons
Alright
Back For Good
Canned Heat
Cosmic Girl
Donkey Kong Country Theme
Don't Stop Me Now
Lady Marmalade
Rainbow Cruise
Richard III
September
Super Smash Bros. Melee Opening
Tubthumping

I presume it needs Freeloader or similar to run.

I have a copy of Donkey Konga PAL edition that's surplus to requirements, and I'm looking to trade it for a copy of the US version of the game. No bongos, no extras, just a straight up trade of the game itself, still shrinkwrapped (or at least as new - haven't even opened the box to get the bongos out yet). You send me the US version, I send you the UK version, everyone gets more tracks to play with.

Any takers? (PM me)

[Edit: Copied/pasted the wrong line for the last track. It is, of course, Tubthumping.]

cosmic girl good
99 ballons good
back for good ... take that? sales just went through the roof with now 20-25 year old girls.

I would trade, but I'm not ready to be rid of my American Donkey Konga yet, and there's no way to buy it by itself :(

Same here. If it works with Freeloader. I'd love to snag a copy of just the Euro game.

I think Iapetus might be looking for someone with two game discs - i.e someone who has bought two combo packs just for the extra bongos ?

Either that or someone who wants to do as I did, and buy a full set for the second (or third, as the case may be) set of bongos, and then find something to do with their extra disc. :)

It works with FreeLoader. You've just got to press Z before you put the game in and choose the EU flag. Then choose 60 hhz mode (which is what it defaults to after 30 seconds or so).

Thank you, BC.

Actually, I'm going to hold off on DKa 2 here in the US. I suspect it will include many of the songs from the Euro release. They're already programmed and ready to go. Easy cash-in, minimal work.

Well, DKa3 (JP) has some of the Nintendo songs from the Euro release. I'd venture there's a good chance we'll see a good chunk of the "missing" Euro songs in US DKa 2.

And hey, maybe Europe will finally get Whip It! After all, they did get the sound effect pack....
