Apple iPad 2 |OT|

I just applied an extra screen protector that I had for my OG iPad... it fits fine but there's a few cm of extra space that isn't covered at the top. If you're looking for a cheap screen protector, just pick up one for the original iPad- they fit fine.

Not crazy about the cover so far, when I fold it back to use the ipad the magnets aren't strong enough for it to stick to the back. The one side of the cover hangs.

Then tap to edit a sentence and see if it reacts immediately or if lags in the input. I showed this to a few Apple Geniuses and they were not impressed and gave me a replacement there and then. I opened the largest document I had loaded, around 2000 words, and it was smooth as silk. No checker boarding, no input lag. Pages feels zippier, but so far, everything feels zippier. I'm going to play around with page reloading in Safari now.

Facetime looks so-so. Blown up VGA.
 
I'm bummed out...got out of work late (8pm EST) and I probably won't find one for a couple of weeks now.
 
Absolutely loving mine so far. Feels so smooth. Like going from the OG MacBook with the sharp edges on your palm to the MacBook Air.

Since I've updated to 4.3 yesterday, my iPad's 3G connection works for 3 minutes and then dies, never happened before. I need to manually switch it off and on in general settings just to get online a bit but it dies again in the next few minutes and never recover ("no cellular data network" or something).
Top left it keeps showing a 4 bars signal and my carrier's name, but it looks stuck and there's no circle "data loading" icon.

I was supposed to sell this damn thing on monday for the iTWO.

What's there to reset tho? VPN is off, wifi is off, 3G Carrier is sets on automatic and I never had to manually change anything. What do you think? :/
 
So from the people that saw both in person, black or white?

They both look soooo good. I cant decide. Thankfully I got until april 3rd since my girlfriend will be getting me one for my birthday :D

It's not even a question for me. The white is distracting and the black provides better contrast.
 
Just did a Skype video call with my parents and they got very excited also told me to buy a wife. One thing I don't like is that there is gap right under headphone port fuuu it's like a millimeter but god damns might return it. I can see the metal underneath the port.

Off to eat my chicken, typing on the screen keyboard is really easy I can see why people love this device.
 
What are the chances a store will have it in stock tomorrow? I'll be in NYC tomorrow and will hit up the usual spots, but I know chances are slim.

Do a restore and if that doesn't work, just go to the store and get it exchanged.
 
I got the first ipad on jan 23 like a month ago. I was on the phone for a half hour and they finally gave in. Cant wait to get the new one. Its gonna be a 32gb wifi white or black cant decide?? And the new case doest protect the back so i dont know what case to get.
 
This is when it starts to hurt. Why didn't I wait inline?!! My God the wait is gonna be brutal. The only good thing is I know I'm gonna get mine. Just later.

Apparently I hadn't done a backup in a while before selling my old iPad, I have 25 updates I need to download, and a few apps I need to re-download.

Note to self: Sync more often.
 
Hopefully I'll be able to find an iPad 2 when I go to NYC for the 3DS launch in regular stores.

Don't wanna spend $1,5k on those bizarre stores in Times Square :/

Also, my buddy picked one up and immediately tried infinite blade. There was a definite improvement in performance, so not sure what some folks were talking about devs needing to rewrite everything. The device is fairly weighty for something as thin as it is, but still lighter than my xoom. Screen isn't as sharp, but colors and blacks are better. The cameras sucks major ass though, but I suspect they were simply a means for facetime and that's it. Web page loading is much quickerand only ign's site caused the thing to checkerboard a tad. Once in memory, everything was perfect. Didn't notice any of the three tabs reload after gaming, so memory capacity is improved here.Xoom was still faster at loading intensive sites (with flash enabled), but the I pad handled them smoother once loaded! Can't wait to do some more youtube video comparisons. Enjoy your toy guys!
 
Loving my iPad 2. I was out of the Apple Store in 20 mins. Got one gray SmartCover, but i don't really like it; it's going back tomorrow. I'm going to wait for a nice case like the Belkin Grip Vue I used to have with my 1G iPad or maybe buy a cover film for the screen and the back.
