Yeah, he's definitely dead. CW brings people back on SN and TVD but they're definitely not afraid to outright axe/get rid of characters. Even popular/main ones. They'll usually telegraph if they're coming back too (off screen death, mysterious circumstances etc).

Still don't get the Laurel hate but I never got it for huntress either.

I never hated Laurel until tonight. Get the fuck out of a collapsing building you idiot! Fuck the files. I was really hoping no one showed up to save her for that.

Great episode. Music was great especially during the Malcolm/Ollie fight. It did end rather fast and I hope Tommy comes back he was a sad puppy dog. Felicity crying all alone just...made me tear up, not my IT girl.

Stupid Thea and her don't text and drive IT CAN WAIT line. Could they try and not make it sound so forced. I wished Roy would have crashed, sending Thea thru the window.

Can someone gif Roy's westling flip takedown thing?

On the way.

If no one came to save Laurel, she would have just Canary Cried her way out.

Dat love interest plot armor.

Edit: Zelda Williams's tasty tribute to Tommy.

I was thinking this was what was going to happen. As soon as it was revealed there was a backup Earthquake machine I thought something would happen that would expose people in the Glades and give them superpowers somehow with Laurel finally becoming Black Canary. Pleasantly surprised they didn't go that direction though. I don't really think this show needs to go that route quite yet.

Season 3 is absolute earliest we'll see superpowers if we see them at all.

They shouldn't wait too long if they're adding powers; drag it out, and it'll be way too jarring.

Tommy, Laurel, and Ollie been friends forever. He wasn't just gonna let her die. And he didn't need to carry that anger to the grave.

Tommy went out a hero. Hope his death sticks.

Yeah. Also as low as the budget must be, there has never been a moment where I thought it needed more.
Though Huntress' costume could have used a higher budget.

Not even budget-wise. More like...I'm more accustomed to CW being 90210, Gossip Girl, etc. I know Supernatural is CW too, but I always associate the channel with the terrible teen girl shows. Haha.

I agree In a sense that they chose Green Arrow, who does kinda seem out of place on the channel.
though they did figure a way to fit the show in.

They also had Smallville and

back when it was The WB.

OMG is that from Birds of Prey? I watched that show till it was canceled. I remember it wasn't exactly good. Damn that takes me back.

Okay uh I though Joanna was gone forever after that incident...now she's suddenly back during the season finale trying to grab random files? lolwut?

-Laural should have died and obviously will not date Ollie after this.
-Thea should died
-Moira needs to die as well and have Walter take over as the parental figure (seriously his send off was so lame)
-Roy...yea he can go that or stop making him so cheesy, just skip straight to the Arsenal stage
-Felicity safe!
-Diggle still needs to learn how to fight

I think you're confusing her with the cop chick? IIRC, that girl just took a break after that thing with her brother. It's weird that they suddenly use her but it makes sense that she's there.

Is that Laurel's hot lawyer friend? Yeah, that was weird.

Yea

I think its the suit from Batman & Robin repainted.
They did a pretty good job with it. cowl wasn't good though.

Nah, definitely not the same costume, that looks like a leather underpiece with a onesie corset over it.

I could have sworn after her brother died she moved away forever.

I usually watch the show a day late, but I had to watch it tonight, cause... finale.

First off...

Tommy :(

He went out like a boss. Pointed a gun in the face of the city's most homicidal maniac, rescued the love of his life, and then made up with his best bud before dying heroically. And so ends the life of the purest, 'good' character on this show. I legit teared up a bit at the end there. Fantastic acting from Amell and Donnell. Definitely was one of Amell's best scenes. In fact, I think this episode (Amell Pause and all) had some of his best acting in the series to date. Always knew he was good. "It should have been me." :(

Man tears all up in here.

Detective Chesthair was awesome this episode. Throwing away his career, disarming bombs, they finally gave him awesome shit to do.

But man, what an ending that was! The heroes... failed. Villain succeeded. He blew up half the Glades. So many potential directions for Season 2 to go in.

I need to give props to John Barrowman. He is definitely one of the best villains on TV right as Malcolm Merlyn. Seeing Malcolm fully unhinged was a brilliant sight to see as he finally descends into the true reality of his madness. And he's so fucking badass.

Even when Malcolm loses, he wins.

Amell was awesome in this episode. The flashback where he finally kills Fyers, so good. There's the murderous vigilante we all know and love. I guess that's Yao Fei's bow?

Laurel was so fucking useless this episode. I hope Tommy's death does us all a favor and puts a kibosh on that relationship cause now we have the shadows of Tommy and Sarah's deaths overlooking this relationship. It's ridiculous.

And man, Moira going to prison! At least she manned up to shit. Wonder if this brings Walter back. Roy was pretty good this episode. I liked his heroic nature emerging amongst the savagery in the Glades.

So where do things stand for us now?

Half the Glades blown to bits. Thousands dead. A more heroic vigilante emerges in the ashes of the Glades as crime, poverty, and despair skyrockets? Malcolm is still alive, but probably in prison. Ollie will be in despair over Tommy's death, hanging up the hood for a while?

God, what a fucking finale. Ace episode. Perfect culmination of everything that happened in this season. Wonder what the next season will bring. What villains? What ultimate conspiracy?

I fucking love this show.

Will the Light from Young Justice show up on Arrow now?

Well, we'll need overarching puppet masters for everything come season 7.

Also, Malcolm's still alive right? Felt like they shot it that way so it could go either way.

But he most definitely seems like he survived. I didn't get the vibe that he was dead.

Crying over Tommy's death? Pft, dude died like the bitch he was from his very first appearance. Good riddance, although him being replaced by Roy may not work out in the long run...

That was a great finale. The wait to s2 to see the aftermath drama is going to be horrible.

I'm glad Tommy went out the way he did, the only other route for him was Harry Osbourne, and I don't think anyone wanted that. Moira and Detective survived because there is more drama for them to milk there, especially about uncovering the vigilante and Moira's trial, and I still think Moira will end up being a bigger villain...we'll see.

I kinda wish we got more island, that last scene with Ollie shooting Fyers was perfect, but at the same time there really wasn't any resolution to any island plots like they promised. Still have no idea what Fyers was doing and still have no idea how Ollie gets off. I swear the creators stated in an early interview that the island plot will come full circle and you'll see how Ollie gets off; I bet the fuckers decided to milk the island a bit more after they got renewed and the show is basically guaranteed to run 5+ seasons now.

I don't buy the theories that Barrowman and Tommy will somehow live. Barrowman clearly died in front of Ollie before telling him about the second bomb, and Ollie would never let him live. He has no remorse, he's going to kill the people on the list, and he's going to make sure a psychopath that blew up half the city and nearly killed him twice will never see the light of day again. He just straight up lied to Tommy to ease his suffering I guess. And Tommy is clearly dead, I don't see how anyone can think he's coming back, he got crushed and stabbed right through the fucking heart, he's gone.

All in all, awesome finale. I hope they never bring super powers into this show, it really pulls off the realistic feel well, and super powers would just ruin the fight sequences and take away from a lot of the action and suspense. Just doesn't make sense in the world they built.

Also, I'm still not a fan of Roy, there's absolutely no substance to him and nothing compelling about his character. They better sell him in season 2, otherwise Ollie running around with short ass kiddie teen sidekicks is going to be a hard pill to swallow. Shit better be like 5 seasons down the line, minimum lol. Roy becoming a season 2 regular doesn't bode well for my hopes though.

I WANT MORE, I never thought I'd want a summer to pass by quickly...

Damn....ballsy finale. Making Malcom live while Tommy dies. Not going the cliche Osborn route? Actually destroying half of the glades?

So damn good.

I just wish it was Laurel who died instead of Tommy :(

Also...we need the soundtrack... Malcom's theme is so awesome.
