Like something doesn't feel right with him, he feels like that character that would turn on his own brother and wouldn't give a fuck.
Cynthia Addai-Robinson just physically didn't have the presence needed to sell Amanda Waller as an authority figure, she was too young, too small and scowling really hard doesn't change that. In the trailers alone Viola Davis doesn't seem nearly as angry but a lot more authoritative. A 28 year old Waller... yeah.
Good episode overall. The Diggle quality streak continues. They even burned through the Felicity stuff pretty quickly and effectively, the trailer made it seem a lot more depressing then it was.

Calling it now - they bring in another actress to play Waller, saying that "Amanda Waller" is just a code name passed on to each Director.

This would have been a good episode if that death wasn't a part of it. Really brought down the episode for me.
I actually agreed with this when she made her first appearance on arrow, but I think she nailed the role being cold as ice.

She really, really tried but that couldn't save her from being obviously young. I don't blame the acting.
CCH Pounder should come in as dead Wallers mom and take over Argus.
That would be a pretty Waller thing to do. I wonder if our Waller has been holding Argus/the government in check thus far and that's why they haven't really interfered with the metahumans running round.

I'm going to agree here, in fact that entire Felicity hallucination was a hot garbage plot line. It doesn't help that I was rewatching that West Wing episode earlier today where Josh has to talk to that psychiatrist about his PTSD. That shit is like master class writing in showcasing that kind of stuff. Now, I don't expect Sorkin writing on "Arrow" but that Felicity subplot was major bad. And, this is coming from someone who likes Felicity.
The other thing bothering me is that Oliver STILL hasn't told Felicity about his son, we all know that is just a ticking time bomb that will likely blow up the relationship.
Couldn't agree more. At least she has less crying scenes now, those were so hard to watch.

I can't believe I watched an episode of Arrow where felicity hallucinated and yelled at herself in front of another character and i still enjoyed it more than the preceding episode of flash. :|
at least dig got some kickass fight scenes and basically all the felicity/ollie scenes were good. wheelchair drama is over already, which i'm very surprised by.

Yeah, I think it was a nice bit of char development, which she hasn't always had... or had consistently.
Very few actresses come away looking good when compared to Viola Davis.

Viola Davis has an amazing voice and charisma, she has superb presence on scene. Can't wait to see her as Amanda Waller in Suicide Squad. Hoping for a scene with her and Batfleck.

It'll be like 2/3rds or 3/4ths into its fourth when the movie is currently set to come out so this stuff is going to start potentially in season three as it did with Arrow and Suicide Squad last year.
it doesn't matter really, they used his most famous villain in season 1 and for season 3 they'll use his second (Grodd), I don't think there's anything more to dig after that.
The show has actually been a blessing for WB since it's doing goodwill to the Flash, a relative forgotten character who's popularity has risen considerably thanks to the show. We'll see how Ezra handles the character, but right now making a Flash tv show was the right call regardless of the movie.

I liked the episode, it was a nice self-contained trip that tied up some loose ends on Diggle's side (namely Andy) and actually gave us some good Olicity scenes.
Although, it looks like Andy just shot up the list to be the name on the grave.

I don't see Eugene Byrd taking a main role on this show. Although I can see Diggle being killed off if the Andy plot is finished this season...unless they make Andy another Malcolm.

I don't really see the point in crippling Felicity, what does it really do for her character? Batgirl couldnt be Batgirl anymore, that was a major thing for the character, Felicity used to sit at a computer and do stuff and now she....is gonna sit a computer and do stuff.
Also, as far as Ollie knows the lazarus pit still works right?
