Being a fan of the older movies, I loved it!
Hope Raimi is directing the whole series.
Evil Dead 2 is by far my fave of the trilogy.
He's only directing the first episode. He said he'd probably do 1 ep per season.

Finished my Halloween LEGO display about a week late, but I am going to go show it off in public tomorrow. And I figured with all the hordes of hell being unleashed in it, there needed to be someone to fight them. Thus, I got a LEGO Ash together.
That's pretty awesome! You should build a LEGO cabin to go along with it!
Bait
A special agent tracks Ash; Pablo tastes blood for the first time in a manic showdown; and a revelation changes Kelly's life forever.
I was expecting a steep drop in quality like all the reviews were saying but there wasn't much of one imo.
Agreed. I'm not quite sure what the critics were complaining about, as I thought that was easily as good as the first episode.
heads up. That intro was great.
Gimme old school cheesey one liners
I think the producers are enjoying the buckets of blood especially that final slow kill.
I think the short episodes work, no filler basically. It's all plot, jokes, or action.
Thought episode 2 was kind of disappointing. A lot of the attempts to be funny didn't land as well as the first.
Not to say it was terrible, still solid, but a definite downturn.
