I dunno what I would categorize them as.. but yeah I agree with you. They don't display features of being particularly mongoloid. Just a little bit.

I thought "Mongoloid" was a deprecated term.
Also, that article even lists "Austronesian", "Polynesian" (isn't this redundant?), and "Maori" under "Mongoloid Race". Heck there's even a Javanese man in the top pic.

Is this a thing about determining which ethnicities aren't "Asian" based on looks rather than culture?

thanks more like mongolian son.

In tagalog, mongoloid is a derogatory term used in taglish calling stupid people retarded...

most would just say mongoloid instead of retarded.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Typology_(anthropology)#Typology
Typology in anthropology is the categorization of the human species by physical traits that are readily observable from a distance such as head shape, skin color, hair form, body build and stature. During the late 19th and early 20th centuries anthropologists used a typological model to divide people from different ethnic regions into races, (e.g. the Negroid race, the Caucasoid race, the Mongoloid race, the Australoid race, and the Capoid race which was the racial classification system as defined in 1962 by Carleton S. Coon).[8]
The typological model was built on the assumption that humans can be assigned to a race based on similar physical traits. However, the typological model in anthropology is now thoroughly discredited,[9] and current mainstream thinking is that the morphological traits are due to simple variations in specific regions, and are the effect of climatic selective pressures.[4] This debate is covered in more detail in the article on race.

Mongoloid is a depreciated term when referring to those with Down's Syndrome.

It was still used by my history professors as recently as last year (referring to people of origin from Mongolia region), that's all I know.
