People need to follow The Wire rule for this game:
Don't give up during the first couple of hours. See it through and you'll be greatly rewarded.

Anyway, I'm a little worried about one thing:
Just got the poison hidden blade and had another story mission to do in Florence. But I returned home to the villa first, talked to Uncle Mario, and now I have another mission that'll take me to Tuscany after one of the co-conspirators. When I returned to Florence just to make sure, the mission I had to do next there was gone.
The mission will come back, right? It's just the game letting me tackle stuff in a different order?
I know it sounds ridiculous to even worry about but I definitely want to make 100% sure I don't miss out on any story in this gem. :lol
You're probably in the middle of a mission which is why other missions aren't showing up.TenshiOni said:Played this baby for like 5 hours straight today. Definitely Uncharted 2's biggest rival for my personal GOTY.

Beat the game. It was absolutely amazing.
Although I have 910/1000 achievements, and a whole bunch of other stuff done [most of the weapons, 20 feathers], my stats for the game say I only have 64.8% complete. WTF O_O
Edit: Where do I upgrade my pouches and stuff? I don't have the achievement for that...:/
And The Truth was amazing

Where are you getting that 64.8% number from?
Sean said:In a way this game kind of reminds me of Fable II (the whole real estate element thing and being able to dye your clothes and stuff).
I'm having a lot of fun with it so far. I keep getting distracted with all of the side things rather than the main story.
That only gives you the Villa completion %. It leaves out things like side quests and even some collectibles (treasure chests, statuettes, etc)Ranger X said:The book in the Villa gives you this.

Also, its not represented in a decimal like that
I've probably spent 8 hours with it so far & I haven't even gotten the option to upgrade my town yet Though it may be because I walk between missions & climb around just for the fun of it.robot said:This game seems loooooong. I'm 5 hours in and it still feels really early (just learned how to build the town up).

Debating on getting the Strategy Guide - between the hidden tombs, glyphs and some other shit, it seems like you could miss a lot. Anyone have it and think it's worth getting? I haven't bought a guide since Lost Odyssey.

bdouble said:I'm trying to decide. Will I be ok if I didn't play AC1? Or should I just read up on it. I'm really interested in this game just because it seems like they added so much and the premise of the first seemed so kick ass. Really though story isn't that big for me and what it comes down to is the first one worth playing? Leaning on skipping it and just saving my money.
edit: just remembered. The PS3 version was crap so that answers my own question.

Its not a requirement, its got a few developer interviews, discusses the characters a bit more, lots of concept art, and its pretty well written as far as strategy guides go. Its a decent pick up if you are a fan of AC.robot said:This game seems loooooong. I'm 5 hours in and it still feels really early (just learned how to build the town up).

Ridley327 said:The Uplay aspect is one of the weirdest things I've seen this gen. You get achievements for getting achievements so you can access a program from within the game (despite it not being a part of the game) so that you can unlock features of the game. It's a real "through the looking glass" moment.
