How is he getting access to Nintendo's digital sales?
Cries in Sackboy A Big Adventure, Crash 4, It takes Two and Ratchet & Clank Rift ApartI mean, to be fair it's kind of the only non-Nintendo/non-Indie platformer in the last 10 years. At least lol.
Considering that a lot of new releases launch at around the 40quids mark against the 50 quids price from the eshop. How is he getting access to Nintendo's digital sales?
The UK favors Sony so it might be true, we know he has Sony numbers as he said Astro Bot was 55% digital but if he doesn't have Yoshi or Kirby digital numbers it's a bit odd to claim they were outsold.
I don't think it takes two & ratchet are included in the statCries in Sackboy A Big Adventure, Crash 4, It takes Two and Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart![]()
I'm referring to Astro Bot being the only non indie/Nintendo Platformer we got in 10 yearsI don't think it takes two & ratchet are included in the stat
No, he said more than Crash (and Sonic).Guess they're not counting remakes, since the N.Sane trilogy cleared all records.
Do Nintendo report any numbers through financial reports? Maybe that's where his getting them from. How is he getting access to Nintendo's digital sales?

It's absolutely does, while it's true mario has dominated, to beat all those platformers to come second is impressive.when a series has a semi-monopoly on a genre, it's not really telling much if another game comes second.
What story do you think he changed?he said sold less then space marine 2 yesterday

Two different trackers. It looks like GSD has Astrobot with higher physical sales than what GfK had.I thought it did 1/3 the sales of ratchet and clank? You're telling me the difference was entirely made up for by digital sales (that were also big in 2020)?

He said "original platform game", so Crash Trilogy probably sold more. No, he said more than Crash (and Sonic).
Which were both multiplatform.
Astro Bot already becomes Astro Botess in the game thanks to Aloy Bot.The game needs more diversity

There's not too many original platformers in the last 10 years, but it's still a very useful stat to know.If it truly has outsold the N'Sane trilogy then it's going to sell gangbusters
Edit. Just seen the post above. So not that Crash game and potentially without the digital for Kirby and Yoshi, makes it a strange tweet to make lol

Sales-Age - How many copies will Astrobot sell on PS5, lifetime?
I am talking lifetime, PS5 copies sold physical and digital. Say in 5 years how many PS5 copies will be sold?www.neogaf.com
Thought he was suicidal once for his mess and quit twitter only to come back a day laterThis is why we don't like this guy.
- Meh, it sold less than Ratchet
- Scratch that, sold better than Ratchet. But sold OK, not that good.
- Sorry guys in fact it sold incredibly well compared to others non-mario platformers. Bigger than Sonic, Crash, Yoshi and Kirby, you know those IPs loved since decades by gamers.
Fuck that guy.
He said that it's selling better than Yoshi and Kirby games, though.I mean, to be fair it's kind of the only non-Nintendo/non-Indie platformer in the last 10 years. At least lol.
LittleBigPlanet 3 (SCE, 2014)
Kirby and the Rainbow Curse (Nintendo, 2015)
Yoshi's Woolly World (Nintendo, 2015)
Tearaway Unfolded (SCE, 2015)
Ratchet & Clank (SCE, 2016)
Knack 2 (SCE, 2017)
Super Lucky's Tale (Microsoft, 2017)
Kirby Star Allies (Nintendo, 2018)
Astro Bot Rescue Mission (SCE, 2018)
Yoshi's Crafted World (Nintendo, 2019)
Concrete Genie (SCE, 2019)
Sackboy: A Big Adventure (SCE, 2020)
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart (SCE, 2021)
Psychonauts 2 (Microsoft, 2021)
Kirby and the Forgotten Land (Nintendo, 2022)
Good! Astro Bot is easily better than all of those games. I'm glad it's selling well, despite not being a Nintendo property. He said that it's selling better than Yoshi and Kirby games, though.
For starters, it's selling faster than the following games:
How many competitors are there to Fifa or Madden? Can you even name 3 of each that you know which would make coming second impressive? That's a very specific sub-genre of sports games.that's like saying "this is the fastest selling American Football game outside of Madden"
or "fastest selling Football game outside of FIFA"
when a series has a semi-monopoly on a genre, it's not really telling much if another game comes second.
I buy almost all of my games exclusively digitally.I thought it did 1/3 the sales of ratchet and clank? You're telling me the difference was entirely made up for by digital sales (that were also big in 2020)?
He's just clickbaiting but the problem isn't him, it's all of us falling for it again and againThis is why we don't like this guy.
