August Wrasslin |OT| I'll tout it to the papers if I have to

Semi-related/unrelated due to the video involving Lesnar, but did we ever find out what the hell John Cena was talking about at the end of their match at Extreme Rules?

CM Punk is a bit under dressed.

Perfect wardrobe for the area. It's too dang hot to be in a tux/suit in L.A. .Besides Punk is not a company man...lol

YES. Good job DM. Reminds me of some picture I have of a sexy girl cosplaying as Milena in the same posee.

Too Bad Layla isn't in a thong though.

Yay I kind of know how to make gifs!

I love this match so much

That match was insane, as soon as Whitmer put his hands up I was like "oh, fuck no - they're actually going to do a psycho driver through a table!", nasty as hell. I think it's quite telling that, despite most of his offence looking super dangerous, Super Dragon has injured very few wrestlers as far as I can recall. Also, Whitmer doesn't get enough credit for the dumb shit he did in ROH - the NRBW match with Necro (and the one vs Jimmy in IWA-MS), letting Punk backdrop driver him off the apron through a table, the two crazy top-rope powerbomb spots with Jimmy, etc.

Im going through the ROH's board Top 100 matches and its just so amazing how this company made such a big impact at the time and totally changed the way i watch and enjoy wrestling. Finished the first 2 matches, then jumped around to find every spot where Whitmer dies. Great stuff. Will resume going down the list later!

This guy really just put the one man band on the same level as Hawkins.

This is your OP everyone, I mean really.

So not worth it
I was willing to agree with the similarities between Beth and Natalya.

But the ONE MAAAAAAN BAAAAAHAAAAAND BAAAABEEEEH and Curt Hawkins is where I draw the line G-Fex. Apologise!

So not worth it
True.

And look at Tyson Kidd even he's rising as he beat Tensai.

Hawkings, Reks, and JTG will be stuck in low cards FOREVER.

JTG speaking up might be his saviour. Yes, he got jobbed out, but he got a pretty decent backstage segment. Besides, Vince loves people that talk back to him, so who knows.

I hope Kidd gets more air time soon, wasn't he entering the tag division with Gabriels or something?

Yeah, same here - as much as the current ROH product is a pale shadow of Gabe's ROH, I can't abandon the promotion because it has meant so much to me over the years. If it wasn't for ROH, I simply wouldn't be watching wrestling today. And while a lot of what ROH did, especially in its early years, is kinda trashy when looking back, I loved the spirit of the promotion, it just felt so fresh, and that's something I never felt another US company has captured until PWG kicked off the awesome run they've been on 2-3 years back.

And just for the hell of it, here's one of my favourite ROH matches that probably doesn't appear on most top 100's;

Samoa Joe vs Delirious vs Jack Evans vs Kikutaro - (ROH 05/13/05)

I've always found this a highly entertaining match as well. Can't get enough Kikutaro!

Yeah, he's such an entertaining wrestler - I love his comedy matches, but also love seeing him encounter 'serious' wrestlers. Here's a great one with Liger & Delfin dragged into Kikutaro & Kamen's madness;

Jushin 'Thunder' Liger & Super Delfin vs Kikutaro & Kuishinbo Kamen - (Osaka Pro 01/10/05)

And an excellent 3-way from earlier this year for the Osaka Pro Owari title between the 3rd generation of Ebessan, Kikutaro & Kamen;

Ebessan III (c) vs Kikutaro vs Kuishinbo Kamen - (Osaka Pro 04/29/12)

CHIKARA Grand Championship Match signed for the 2nd Night of King of Trios on Saturday, September 15th in Easton, PA;

Tadasuke from Osaka Pro returns to CHIKARA for the first time since he won last year's Young Lion's Cup. Should hopefully be a good, hard-hitting match.

You know, they should really one day induct Liger to the WWE Hall of Fame.

I'd love it if the WWE Hall of Fame was more representative of wrestling as a whole, but it doesn't seem like something WWE are interested in doing - maybe as he wrestled a fair bit in WCW. They should induct Ultimo Dragon, too.
