Ahhh. Must've been because there was an email chain going around this week at work about SQL servers and backups and restores and logs and stuff because of the hour that's lost/gained or whatever. Must've been what completely threw me.

I don't do many exciting things out and about anymore, being more of a homebody, so I'm not much help.
The weather is perfect to check out the Blue Mountains and the hiking trails out there, which looks gorgeous. The Scenic Skyway might be something you'd want to see if you go out that way. Not sure if the area is currently on fire though.
If you keep going further in that direction, there's Jenolan Caves, which are pretty cool and I'd love to go there again myself. There are tour buses that leave from Katoomba train station and shouldn't be difficult to arrange at all. I like the nature type stuff if you can't tell be sure to bring a camera if you like that stuff too.
Our public transport system is rather shit if you want to go everywhere with it. I think you'd probably be alright if you're only going to popular places, those should be well covered.

For stupid reasons I have this slight urge to own one. Even despite last gen when my 360 sat unused mostly.
So I'm curious from local XBone owners, is the non-gaming fuctionality worth anything at all? Is that likely to change? Does the voice control work at all with aussie accents? Does the pass through work with PAL signals?

I'm in no way defending the censorship, but when the R rating was coming in, I'm pretty sure it was clearly stated that sexual violence was restricted, like it is in the rest of our media.
The subject matter in question may be played for laughs in pop culture, but there was no way it was getting classified given the double standard that still exists.
And it is a double standard, as shows and movies that feature something that actually exists like prison rape as both a source of humour and as a deadly serious matter still exist to be seen in Australia.

Honestly for what it's worth I Y/T'd the censored section of the new South Park game and I don't really have a problem with the fact they censored it and will probably play the censored version of it when I rent it on 360 in the coming weeks.. not because the content offends me (although it would offend my mother ;p) but because the section itself looks incredibly unfun from a gameplay standpoint.
Not that I'm supporting censorship and think it's pretty fucked even with a R18+ that content could get cut. Hell what's even more amusing is that they are probably more people in America that would get outraged about that kind of content over Australia.

Yup, but when I heard of something to do with daylight savings this weekend, it was losing an hour because of this database bug that was happening on servers. I know I was wrong on two counts, but don't try and pull me up on the second as well... I always get confused of whether we go forward or back at which time of year.

That Corsair case is kind of funky. You'd think that they'd dump a whole lot of stuff in the PSU compartment but its basically empty. I guess its nothing a dremel and some smart thinking can't solve but Corsair really should have made better use of space.
If you can find an affordable R9 290 or 290X, it'll probably be the best choice since people are still going gaga for buttcoins. It won't depreciate that quickly so if you end up hating AMD for whatever reason, you can ditch it without losing too much money.

I'm honestly looking at an AIO simply because my CPU cooler is the size of a grill'd hamburger. It's fucking insane, it works like a god damn beast but it's a tad large.

I've never understood CPU watercooling. For GPUs, it makes a ton of sense since PCI form factor limits the size of the heatsinks, fans, and exhaust locations. Water cooling lets you use very large radiators, larger slow spinning fans, and position the heat to be directly exhausted out of the case. Your GPUs perform better, are cooler, and are far quieter during load.
But CPUs? You can get a block of metal the size of my head and you can clamp it directly on the heatspreader. Most of the time, it'll cool better than your typical AIO watercooling kit and quieter too since you don't have to deal with the pump. And they're cheaper too! To me, they're basically the PC enthusiast's equivalent of audiophile hardware in that they work OK but they're more expensive than solutions that probably do the job better for a far lower price.
I guess an AIO can work better if your CPU is delidded since you have a smaller risk of crushing the bare CPU die.

They censored the nazi dialog too. It's literally fucking MUTED. I thought it was a bug at the start until a cutscene that was playing just fine had every bit of dialog from the Nazi character cut, the mouth moving but nothing coming out.

Which is pretty much why I want to ditch my head sized CPU Cooler. I fucking love that thing Cooler but good god it's huge. It's hard to put anymore cards in the unit since it takes up that much space.
