So in what way are the Liberals more kind to animals than the Greens ( or even Labor)?
They let them be party members.

http://www.canberratimes.com.au/act-news/preferences-vital-for-second-seat-20130906-2tb1z.htmlIt's sad that things like that happen. You would think that if the party you give your number 1 vote to doesn't make it in, then your preference would flow to the party that has the most in common with them. So in what way are the Liberals more kind to animals than the Greens ( or even Labor)?
They sound like complete morons. It has put the Greens last in retaliation against ACT Greens MLA Shane Rattenbury, the Minister for Territory and Municipal Services, who authorised the cull of about 1450 kangaroos recently to protect rare grasslands from overgrazing.

Interesting. Greens must be splintered in some areas, as I'm familar with Greg Barber (one of the elected Greens in Victorian Parliament) recently helping put a stop to a proposed kangaroo cull, and Bob Brown has fought for a number of wildlife issues over the years.
Anyway outside of that I can't see how the Libs would have done anything better for animals, be it wildlife issues or things like live export, etc so AJP screwed themselves on that issue. Oh well hopefully they'll learn for next time much like the Liberals did when they helped get Steve Fielding (Family First) elected.
What? There's nothing wrong with culling kangaroos when they're becoming a nuisance. They sound like complete morons.

Uhh, I'm not talking about the Greens in this case. What? There's nothing wrong with culling kangaroos when they're becoming a nuisance.
In May 2011, when Osama bin Laden was killed, Muir tweeted: ''Media is reporting that the person who ordfered [sic] the 911 terror attacks is dead what a load of shit, george bush is still alive!''

Praying for Albo, if those fuckers elect Shorten then the ALP will be fucked for two terms atleast. The Coalition could just run ads painting him as a literal faceless man with Rudd and Gillard's blood on his hands.
WOULD AUSTRALIA ELECT THE FACELESS MAN? VOTE ABBOTT 2016!

I like the way "Shorten is unelectable" when Abbott is the prime minister. If he is doing a decent job nobody would really care what he has done before.
It'll be hard for them to pull of that though now that they're the ones actually governing. The Liberal Party has also won the election by performing two successful character assassinations of two sitting Prime Ministers. After the clear disclosure of "Shorten's 7" and how he put Rudd back in - a third character assassination is just as easy for the Liberal Party.
It'll be hard for them to pull of that though now that they're the ones actually governing.
True, it's put up or shut up time for the Libs right now. It'll be plainly obvious if they don't save the country like they're claiming to.
Trouble is is that it doesn't need saving, all they have to do is change their mesageing to take credit for shit that was already done.
''I want to be an infrastructure prime minister,'' he declared, rattling off a list of road-funding projects across the country, including Melbourne's East-West Link and WestConnex in Sydney that would take shape under a Coalition government. ''I want to get Australia moving again and that means building the roads of the 21st century.''
I wouldn't be too worried about a potential Shorten tenure, given that post-election loss opposition leaders' time at the helm tends to be, well, short.
Given recent political history I'm no longer sure Abbott that.I wouldn't be too worried about a potential Shorten tenure, given that post-election loss opposition leaders' time at the helm tends to be, well, short.

sorry
I was also thinking that the ALP would probably want to stay as far away from any signs of internal power struggles as possible, even in opposition, but mainly I wanted to make that shitty pun. It's obviously too early to tell for certain, but one has to imagine that there will be a few Labor leaders before there's a change of government.Given the nature of the last election (minority gov) it is probably the exception, along with 1998 (where Beazley got the popular vote). I was thinking more along the line of Brendan Nelson (remember him?).
Do the Liberals' changes to the NBN have to go through parliament?
I should really know this...
I think I heard somewhere that it didn't.
