Australian Rules Football (AFL) Thread |OT| Boy oh boy wowee!

Something something global warming

Also, Daisy Pearce should've gone with the balaklava.

Talkin' about "what a player", Darcy "Thunder Thighs" Fogarty gave me a semi-chub yesterday.

Feel free to print that.

Yeah that one where he went studs up on Barrass in the leg wasn't great.

Don't know if he deserved a free against for the one late in the game though.

Back to back Pies/Bombers games if that happens.

That bombers* percentage is horrendous for a supposed top 8 team. Obviously it's not set in stone as they have yet to play Friday night, but god they're a pretty lucky team to make the top 8. Them and GWS to be honest.

Dumb questions, bt looking at the standings and then googling it, wins are worth 4pts and ties 2pts. Why not just make it 2pts and 1pt?

Is there a historical reason?

Nobody really knows but apparently when the game first started in the 1800s, you got 1 point for each quarter you won. Then they just made it 4 points if you win the game.

David Hale is Freo's interim coach.

It looks like former Docker player and current Collingwood assistant coach Justin Longmuir could be the person Freo are after to be head coach.

Cant believe we made it. Should buy a hawks membership.

Still not convinced we're playing well enough, but it'd be nice to make another prelim.

Melbourne has delisted Jeff Garlett and Declan Keilty

North have delisted Nathan Hrovat.

Michael Gibbons and Hugh Goddard have both signed one-year rookie extensions with Carlton.

Goldsack will retire at the end of the season.

The Dees might trade pick 2.

Apparently the Crows have delisted Eddie Betts.

Billy Longer, Lewis Pierce, David Armitage & Sam Rowe have not been offered new contracts by the Saints.

Edit: The Crows have said that Betts hasn't been delisted.

The Suns are going to offer him a multi-year deal.

SEN reported that Josh Kennedy (WCE) had done his knee, but apparently it's not true.

To answer MacReady13's question:

Number of players who played every game of the 2019 home and away season by club;

11 Brisbane
9 Bulldogs
8 Collingwood, Freo, Sydney
7 Crows, Demons, North, Saints
6 Geelong, Hawthorn
5 GWS, West Coast
4 Suns
3 Carlton, Essendon
2 Port, Richmond.

Brisbane also had another 4 players that played 20 games. So not many injuries at the Lions.
