Just couldn't get into Outer Worlds when I tried it, maybe Obsidian's style isn't for me.

It's a no from me unless reviews are glowing.

I remember how hyped I was that Obsidian was finally releasing a Fallout-like without Zenimax and Bethesda breathing down their neck.

...and then launch day came and I dropped it within 5 hours.

I eventually went back and forced myself to finish it but uh... yeah. Keeping my expectations in check this time for sure.

There should be a "eh, I'll install it from game pass" option in the poll lol.

I don't know anything about the game, so I clearly don't have any interest in it. But I might as well give it a try since it's ostensibly "free" for me.

playing it on Gamepass, no expectations but i liked Outer Worlds, if it's some condensed ripoff of New Vegas again that would be fine with me, it seems a little bit more focused on the exploration and combats though, which worries me a little

I love RPGs so I'm pretty hype for it, that said with the state of current games you never know, so it's a wait and see.

But I will be playing on GP so I'll give it a go regardless.

I preordered the premium edition on Steam since the previews have been positive so hopefully it'll be another good Obsidian rpg.

I'll eventually get around to giving it a shot through GP. Not typically the type of game I go for though.

Have never been let down by writing in an Obsidian game, my most hyped game after MH Wilds. Just hoping the performance doesnt suck.

Waiting on the gamepass preload with excitement. No option for that on the poll so I just clicked preordered.

I loved everything Obsidian did before Outer Worlds, I got about halfway through before I dropped the game because it was just so… boring

Avowed doesn't give me much hope that they've improved, they're not the same since they canceled Chris Avellone

I'll check it out on the side of Indy, KDC2, and Ninja Gaiden 2 Black. It looks cool, I just haven't been keeping up with the game much. Hopefully it turns out great!

My hype is known :messenger_beaming:

A good capture (rare thing these days) of the demo devs made a while ago just released today. No commentary.

Nothing hits home like a fantasy RPG.

Getting it with Game Pass so might as well give it a shot. Hoping for the best. Not expecting it though.

🎶Tophers got it on hes PC and hes Xbox, Gamepass Gamepass🎶.

Same for me aswell though bust it on Gamepass, nothing to loose. Will get my cheap and nasty LED lights set on purple as I hear thats the appropriate colour for this type of game and give it a few hours, if i like it I will give it a proper go after my current playthrough of Cyberpunk.

I know I won´t like it, but depending on the opinions I might download it and try it because it´s free on game pass. But I´m totally sure I´m not going to play more than... 1-2 hours?
So I don´t know what to vote

Those gritty, medievil, cartoonish characters really got my attention....

I'll probably d/l since it's "free" on GP, but...... uggh

I was going to post this, and you beat me to it :messenger_grinning:

This Sargamis fellow sure likes to talk

edit I like the user interface and inventory management. Just the kind of RPG system I was expecting from Obsidian, several ways of dealing with encounters. It looks very traditional high fantasy style, not a dark fantasy style but maybe other areas are more like that. Looks awesome re fidelity and production values.

This game will have a lower engagement number than Indiana Jones for its first month. Monster Hunter & KCD2 to compete with is just not nice.

Fantasy written within the last 10 years has a super high chance of being complete garbage so I basically have no hype for any narrative game. But if the reviews are good I might download it on gamepass.

Given Outer Worlds' heavy handed "rich people and corporations = evil, asexual lesbians good" messaging and general mediocrity, the shit with their art director, and the general direction the gaming industry has gone since Outer Worlds…

My expectations are extremely low. But I will play it if I hear good things from people I trust.

The only interesting thing about this game is that MS didn't forget to promote it.

Personally I'm not interested in a modern Obsidian game, because I know that both the writing and the aesthetic aren't for me. February is still stacked so that's an even easier pass.

^^ You can explore that whole city I believe, City of Paradis. It was locked for the previews.

Obsidian is sandbagging on this lol. Just watch reviews :messenger_beaming:
