Looks like they spent too much time worrying about how to stick it to Elon and his army of chuds.

Alas, yet another rare victory is upon us. It's becoming too much now.

People want to toss around "arrogance" in trolling adages, but these groups of bubble CULTure developers are the epitome of arrogance. Arrogance lacking in the actual talent to be so.

Face 4 has definitely seen some shit in his life.

It’s (currently) exclusive to the wrong console. Like Indy, when it comes to the PS5 people will be praising it and not acting like an 8 is a bad score.

Scores are irrelevant in the current media climate. Indy looks and plays great. This one doesn't. Technically it's very poor and it shows. This is a slop very much like Starfield or anything made by EA or Ubisoft.

It's fair, he was not paid to shill. He really just had a dumb opinion.

How could someone that is regarded being versed in crpg and have BG3 as his all time favorite thinks Veilguard is gotta 2024?

Must be a temporal dementia.
He's just trying to grow his channel, which is fine, but he damaged his credibility in the process. I can't take recommendation from him seriously anymore.

He's already admitted in his comments that playing these shit games is all this fella does with his life (outside of taking his kid to school occasionally and eating).

That's a miserable, depressives existence and he can't possibly be enjoying any of these games. His pineal gland is fried.

It was so bad that people have started questioning his "100%" gimmick. Some of the achievements he has magically managed to attain would take months of normal play to get.

This guy is likely taking the Elon Musk approach to game reviews. The things people will do for popularity and recognition.

If his schtick is that he 100%'s all games before reviewing, he probably knows more what he's talking about than most 🤷‍♂️
I played more than 30 hours of veilguard, you don't fucking need to 100% to know all the flaws like the pedestrian enemy design, the goody2shoes writing, the modern california woke etc., what the hell is this bullshit narrative?

Do you also keep in high regard opinions from people with a lot of platinum trophies by any chance? :lollipop_grinning_sweat:

Dude just has shit taste or he cashed a fat check from EA because he has a following and they were probably desperate to make look the game better.

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?

Not in every case but when someone with 100+ hours into a game says it's well worth your time, it means something from their point of view.

Not that a game with 80~ aggregate is poorly reviewing or anything, mind you.

The 100% approach made me wonder when he claimed he did so with Yakuza 8. Because by his standard, 100% means not only achievements, but everything inside out the game.

That means clearing Virtual fighter with the whole roster, win pool, dart, baseball, etc. in all modes, finish all karaoke songs with perfect score, etc. There are literally hunderds of this challenges, how could he possibly finish all of this before game release?

Either he cheated or he did not do every as he claimed for the game.

That was in question way before his Veilguard review. People have been calling him a fraud for a while now and I believe there's some truth to it so he can maintain his 100% gimmick. Anyone can idle a game for hundreds of hours and run an achievement unlocker on Steam.

The game is 80 on MC and people act like it's 65 or something, the same goes with Civ 7, people are destryoing it.
It got a 7/10 from IGN and a 6/10 from Gamespot. These are heavily weighted websites. These bad review scores got split out. Gamespot only got counted for PC(which is currently setting at a 79) with IGN only counted for the Xbox console. Can anyone confirm this is correct?

Feels like the game has hung on to 80 too long. Feels artificial. MS playing fuck fuck games with the code distro again?

Metacritic aside, 7/10 from IGN and 6/10 from Gamespot is super, super shitty and an absolutely devastating score from the two biggest gaming websites. 6/10 from Gamespot the game will never live that down. With the way this game is priced on PC, I can't see it picking up many sales outside of gamepass. If the game had niche appeal or had a lower profile and lower need for profits this would not be that bad(though venturing into 7s on metacritic and having the two biggest gaming websites give you mediocre and bad review scores respectively) means one thing.

Review scores did not help this one. It will need to get by on word of mouth. It did not score high enough to outrank the woke creator, so this game will be doomed imho. There are too many haters, the game costs too much, and the game isn't good enough to push past it with quality. If I'm wrong I'm wrong, I will gladly admit it and eat crow if this game sells well or even has a high steam concurrent player count.

Agreed. Some of the hate around Indy just seemed to be "I can't play it yet, so I hate it". Indy looked and felt kind of jank at times, but otherwise was very well done and charming. Loved it overall.

This... just feels off. There's some nice art design that I like, but the vibe, combat, dialogue, etc. so far nothing looks actually compelling. Where Indy looked bad to great to me on varying things (story, writing, combat, etc.) at initial preview, everything here looks bad to mid to me.
