There is being competitive which is what I’ve always wanted ms to be. I applauded them for acquiring playground games, obsidian and ninja theory but these kind of moves to create a monopoly is just going too far.

It's literally what it is.
We know Sony hates MS and wants to destroy Xbox, and I would hope that MS hates Sony and wants to destroy PlayStation.
The worst thing would be if Sony and MS liked each other and decided to work together and share the market as best they can. That would be collusion.

In your quest to damage control you forget that Microsoft has to go through several regulators. Here in the UK, the execs stated intentions of using COD to foreclose Sony is pertinent information. I didn't post that much in the MBK acquisition thread so, I don't really know who said what, but of course MS trying to buy Activision/Blizzard was a move made to destroy Playstation and supplant them as market leader by sheer money. It'll probably happen, but what's sad is that MS already have a rich and deep catalogue from Perfect Dark, to Killer Instinct that they refuse they work with. PD reboot is in Metroid Prime 4 mode aka shit ain't workin'.

This is business, and it's cutthroat but if MS pulls it off (I think they eventually will) it's kinda game over in terms of who will be the top dog pretty much forever onwards. But me, I'll still stick to PS and Nintendo. It's just more my style and I can't really trash my 300+ digital collection into the bin you know?

The other thing, the part about ACVI and MS discussions starting in 2021 is a widely circulated news piece which was obtained via a publicly accessible regulatory filing.

Man, it really needs to be said again? The goal of all of these companies is to dominate the competition and be #1. Any move they make is a move towards that goal. We don’t need an email saying MS wants to put Sony out of business.

But the original tweets and talk were tying that email directly to the ABK purchase and it turns out that was false. It doesn’t change that the ABK move is a move to try and bury Sony, but the emails aren’t related (apparently). It’s not possible to make it any clearer. I don’t understand why some of you are so tripped up here.

Alright an electrician put wires in the wall but then forgot the connect them to the fusebox and the outlets, just like you fail to make the connections.
Now imagine Sony's head saying they want to destroy MS then goes to buy take2 and EA but when antitrust inquire they say it is to bring games to more players would you believe them?Then neither should FTC and CMA.
