Damn you guys really had that much trouble with the
cloudburst tank?
I dont really consider myself to be a great game player and I didn't really feel a big difficulty jump with that. Maybe I'm just a natural with that stuff.

It was just shit game design. I did it easily but on really low health.

Finished up with 96% completion; thought the ending to the main story was fantastic and the whole last hour of the game was a blast. Then went back and wrapped up the (side mission boss)
Deathstroke stuff, which was a disappointment in and of itself for being the grindiest, most boring side missions in the game followed by a fucking tank fight with the hand-to-hand specialist talking about wanting a rematch the whole time. Seriously, Rocksteady? C'mon.

General ending spoilers:

Holy shit the Knightfall Protocol ending is fucking horrible. Paced terribly, just sort of stops and without any coherent resolution or reason to it. All around terrible way to end an otherwise great final sequence.

Not sure I'll even slog through the Riddler shit to see the 100% ending.

I fixed it-

I had to do more side missions and take in Deathstroke, Alfred talked to me after saying it was ready(even though I could initiate it beforehand). I can't imagine that was normal because I had to have 13 of 14 completed just to do that.

Cool, I'll do a few more missions then. Just working on Riddler stuff now. All I have left other than that are the bombs.

Also, (firefighter side missions spoilers),
doesn't it seem a bit extreme to put the fire fighter chief in the supervillian cell? I mean he just did some misguided stuff, wouldn't even call him a villian. Kind of fucked up to put him in there with villians that mutilate and torture people lol.

I can't recommend enough y'all upgrading the batmobiles armour as soon as you can.

I need some advice for the later Own The Roads missions. A couple of them seem to have huge turrets looking right into the arena. I can hijack one of them for sixty seconds, but as soon as I start to beat up the enemies, the other turret shoots me down, seemingly impossible to avoid. Dunno what to do.

Is there any way to disable the local surveillance in this game? It's far to frequent and starting to do my head in.

I'm waiting for a mod on this. They cranked it up to 11. Now I can't go 10 feet without hearing some repetitive, inane chatter. These thugs gossip more than a gaggle of school children.

If there are huge turrets, it means you can get the Batmobile in there somehow. Apparently you can also upgrade the disruptor to deal with them.

But seriously I don't care who the Arkham Knight is anymore, I just want to beat the living shit out of him.

STOP THROWING SHADE AT BATMAN. BATMAN TRIES REALLY HARD ALL THE TIME.

Highjack one of them, and then use the upgraded disruptor on the second so that it will explode if it fires.

Marvel

could never
I nearly have Firefly and
Man-Bat
. I'm starting to really hit the secondary missions now. Because I'm speeding through the main story way too fast! >.> I'll be annoyed when it's over I'm absolutely loving it.

Will definitely do multiple playthroughs.

Did it first time. Don't get the fuss

I never minded it in City and Origins, but it seems really repetitive in this game. I'm flying around looking for riddles and I'm hearing the same old stuff over and over and over. And Riddler constantly chiming in over the big screens isn't any better. Guy's calculated pi to a bajillion places about ten times now.

Is anyone else finding the riddles pretty frustrating this time around, btw? I really dislike the ones where you have to follow a trail of question marks with the Batmobile's sonar; I've found like five that lead me on a long, tedious trail and then just fucking end and I have no idea where I'm supposed to go next. And a lot of the riddles that need to be scanned in are extremely finicky. You aim at what you think is the right point and get 'Subject Too Small', so you zoom in and get 'No Subject Detected', then you come at it from another angle and it's 'Subject Obscured'. Maddening.

I always felt like the riddles worked better in the Asylum style enviroment, I always like going through the indoor spots and getting the trophies and riddles but I have a lot of issues with finicky shit too. I had a HELL of a time scanning ivy's plant even if it's the most obvious one in the game.

man, that bomb disarm mission with like 50 drones is a pain in the ass. it's a tiny area with shit constantly raining down on you, who the fuck thought that was a good idea?

doesn't help that during one attempt i managed to make it to the last one before i died.

Yeah I'm not a fan of Riddler babbling over the intercom either. That should only be done by Scarecrow.

I also feel that the actual riddles are pretty damn hard this time around, some of the riddles are pretty vague/abstract.

I can listen to the random enemies dialogue all day they say some funny shit

I love it when I hit them with the Batmobile and they get an electric charge and go "zgnfkgndjfs", the voice acting is hilarious. Makes me chuckle every time. It's okay to hit-and-run if they don't die.

I think the ambient chatter is really well done, the random thugs on street always comment on the latest event that happened in the story. Makes the city feel really dynamic and "alive".

lol i heard a group of guys talking about who would win in a fight, Batman or the Arkham Knight. the criminal actually took Batman's side and said he would win because he can improvise well.

and then one of the militia men telling his buddies about how Batman is a CIA agent funded by the government.

I captured a moment where a thug said he was at asylum, city and blackgate and had never met seen the Batman. As soon as he was done I swooped down and glide attacked him. Hilarious timing.

Anyone else have the game bug out right at the beginning with the bat sonar? I threw it, listened to the Knight dialogue and scanned the targets, and then when Batman did the catch animation it killed him and I got a game over screen.

Got it on the first try. Still boring. I much preferrred
getting into position to grappel to JT
over tanking it out. While I appreciate them adding a bit of hide and seek to it, hide seek
with tanks
just doesn't quite feel the same.

grrr

I love how it focuses on that minigun thug after. Like he's the true victorious villian in this story.

I captured a moment where a thug said he was at asylum, city and blackgate and had never met seen the Batman. As soon as he was done I swooped down and glide attacked him. Hilarious timing.

I did that with a thug that said, "Batman broke my arm in three places, but the way I see it lightning won't strike twice." Hit him with the super glide flip thing and it gave me much personal laughs.

I have to say this game is excellent till about 85% of the way through the story then it becomes the most annoying shit ever

stealth tank
stupid driller driving thing
wave after wave of enemies both armored and tank based

also the story and scarecrows big final play is taking on GCPD.... REALLY? and why haven't the army been called in with the private militia on the ground?

I can already tell that I am going to have zero motivation to ever replay this again after the first run through. The Batmobile is just shoehorned into everything. I can't even comprehend how people find sections that are essentially platforming puzzles fun when you're using a freaking tank in confined spaces. It

That's the one! I spent like five straight minutes scanning it and I still didn't get it.

They want you to specifically go in front of it where Ivy would go inside of it, there's a bloomed flower sprouting from the ground. Even here it's finicky, but that's the part you need. The plant is massive which makes the whole thing really confusing.

I saw that a good 5-6 times. That was by far the most difficult part of the game for me on hard.

The problem for me is the kind of apathy I have to carry on its just demoralizing not galvanizing
