Hmm, well the trailer looks good...
but so did Man of Steel's

And I am not sure if I am seeing things, but BvS looks much more colorful. Its nice to see they might be taking the criticisms of Man of Steel and using them to improve this.

BUT

I still have this burning feeling this movie is going to be cluttered. The fact that Wonder Woman and Aquaman are both in this (even though they both look great) just reminds me of the lessons we should have learned from Batman and Robin, that more characters =/= better

I mean WB seems to agree with you for some reason, the worst part is they forgot to do the last part.

Like we have Lex Luthor trying to get Superman and Batman to fight while Wonder Woman and who knows how many Superman and Batman villains run around and do silly shit with elseworlds alt reality flashbacks... And they're going for a serious "no jokes" tone? Whaaaaaat?

DC has a clear directive, with regards to the films, that their marquee characters (Bats, Wonder Woman, Supes) are never to be referred to as "superheroes".

They want to distance themselves from Marvel, and their own comic book roots, as much as possible. The movies are meant to be "mature" (grave and serious and moody), directly as a response to Marvel's relatively "childish" (bright and cheery) tone with their properties. Unless this approach to building the DC Universe fails (or someone at DC changes their minds), expect every main character to be a variation of Batman.

The dialogue is awful.

It's way more colorful than MoS.

Like just compare the Metropolis destruction scene in this compared to the same scene in Man of Steel (with the buildings falling).

So bad...looks like two things.
1) a child smashing his toys together and play acting a story they made up.
2) wonder woman, joker notes remind me of some batman fan film from a few years ago where there are a bunch of character cameos for no reason.

I dont read other peoples opinions because when something new like this releases their nerd hard ons are unrealistically huge but i cant imagine anyone watching this and thinking it looks good, unless you are like 9 years old.
What a ridiculous post lol. No point in taking you seriously.

Why do you want Lex to be some boring old bald man instead of a charismatic douchebag?
Who says I want him to be boring? I didn't know being bald made characters intrinsically boring or uncharasmatic. How about someone who is going to act and deliver lines in a way that won't be unintentionally cringeworthy. Eisenberg isn't being charismatic, he's being pubescent.

I was really wrong about Affleck, he looks great. Also Gal Gadot, but I didn't dislike her casting anywhere near as much as I did Affleck initially. I'll blame my Daredevil scars

The only thing pubescent is your incessant, premature ire! :)

Seems weird that Batman apparently branded someone

It's a older more meaner Batman that doesn't put up with much like previous versions. Basically take all the dangling people over the sides of buildings, dropping them to break their legs and overall kicking their faces in and it's not surprising he'd leave a mark. He's done playing games as he got older and seen things happen.

All I have to say is that WB really, really need this movie to knock it out of the park.

This movie is basically the launchpad for all their other movies. If it's not good then they seriously hurt the potential hype for their other movies.

Critically it needs to be good. The movie will make a shit ton of money regardless but it needs to be good and it needs to give the characters, WW, Aquaman enough for us to want to go see their movies as well.

The trailer didnt really excite or hype me as much as the suicide squad one did. At least you have something different going there.

Superman seems like he ll remain stoic and boring now that the emphasis is not developing his personality but rather that of bats. We REALLLY didnt need another origin/flashback thing for bats. Everyone and their grandma knows about bruce waynes tragedy. No comment on lex yet. Jeremy irons looks fitter and just a little older than bruce so i wonder how their dynamic works. Meh on wonder woman - nothing to say till we see more of her.

Really? That's weird, in movie it makes Alfred look like he's only like 10 years older than Bruce.

This is what im interested to see. Alfred looks only slightly older than bruce. And irons is a lot mor fitter than old man caine. I wonder whats their dynamic now (a more badass alfred maybe?)

How can she be the weakest part of the trailer when she has no dialogue and only a few seconds? Just curious.

Anything with Batman or Superman in that trailer looked cool / ok. The consequences of the destruction, the Red Son dystopia, etc. She was just meh, but I'll grant "the red capes are coming" the title of worst delivery in the trailer though.
