I feel like DC may have finally figured out how to bring quality comic book versions of these characters to life. Nolan's trilogy was good but it wasn't quite what I wanted.

This looks right. Hopefully it works out.

Trailer looked spectacular.

Cavil, Affleck, and Irons all looked spectacular.

Fight scenes look amazing. But it's expected with Snyder. I'm hyped. Bring it.

So they are bringing in Kryptonite with this movie?, i thought it wasn't going to be put into the MoS verse?.

Nah. I think that was just MOS.

It makes no sense to have a Batman and Superman fight or have Lex Luthor in a Superman movie in general and not have Kryptonite be apart of the equation.

lol why do people think Batman fighting Superman was EVER a fair fight?

Even in Dark Knight Returns, Supes is holding back, and even then, Batman has to pull out every cheat, every resource, every trap he has to just stay alive. He only gets the upper hand because he had Ollie to suckerpunch Clark with Kryptonite.

I think people forget the entire point of most BvS fights is to demonstrate how absurdly powerful Supes is compared to Batman and the level of restraint he has, as you mentioned in Returns he is desperately fighting for his life against someone who doesn't even want to kill him.

Hopefully this finally gets people off the Metropolis battle from MoS. Have a feeling this movie is going to change some people's perception on MoS now that we are seeing the bigger picture.

BvS might be capable of addressing Man of Steel's many mistakes. Whether it actually does remains to be seen, but it won't change the fact that MoS can't really stand on its own merits.

Wow, truly amazing trailer. But then again, Snyder knows how to make them.

2016 is gonna be insane year for comic book fans.
  • Deadpool
  • Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice
  • Captain America: Civil War
  • X-Men: Apocolypse
  • Suicide Squad
  • Doctor Strange
2 from DC, 2 from Marvel Studios, & 2 from Fox. Better start camping at the movie theater now. Hell, keep your tents up after Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

You can't have Superman fight Batman and not have Kryptonite.

He's too fast. Even putting aside the strength issue, his speed as depicted in MoS is essentially teleporting to the regular human. Batman would never be able to even touch him.

Really? That's weird, in movie it makes Alfred look like he's only like 10 years older than Bruce.

Alfred isn't really that old in the comics. He also started working for the Wayne family a little bit before Bruce was born. His father was their butler until he was murdered. Then Alfred took over.

Preeeeeeetty fucking hyped.

I choose to believe that Superman was saving Batman from the wreckage of his Batmobile so that the two of them together can lay waste to Lex & co.

Reserved seating. The best thing to come to theaters in a long time.

My favourite shot is actually Bruce Wayne running into the 9/11 cloud of smoke building like a man possessed. Definition of a hero and a true Batman.

The trailer was good, but I liked the Man of Steel ones more, and I've always felt like that Snyder movies have excellent trailers while the movies themselves have been a bit underwhelming.

I was surprised that I liked Affleck as Batman, and I was sold on Eisenberg as Luthor until that "Red capes" line. That ended up making me laugh just because of how out of place it seemed, and it killed the mood of the trailer for me; not sure about Gadot as Wonder Woman, either, but she didn't have any speaking lines. I guess I'll just wait and see.

All in all I'm (cautiously) optimistic that this will be a better movie than Man of Steel.

Alfred isn't that old but generally speaking Bruce is a good 5-10 years younger then he is in this trailer.

It's not ire, it's criticism. And I thought it courteous to reply to someone who replied to me, not incessant :)

And if you want positivity, I think Batman and Wonder Woman look great.

Sorry, I've probably been confusing you for one of the other couple people who won't shut up about Lex. No hard feelings!

And it's funny because I think Gadot's WW was the weakest part of the trailer, but there's enough other super exciting parts in it that I brushed her aside.

The Social Network is one of my favorite movies, and I've never liked Lex Luthor before, so I'm over the moon with this interpretation. Obviously, that's going to bias my replies.

If Snyder knows how to do one thing, it sure is making kick ass trailers. I loved the trailer but thinking about it, the movie looks like it has enough material to fill up 4 different movies. A Batman movie, a Superman movie, a Superman V. Batman movie, and a Wonder Woman movie. I have a strange feeling it's going to suffer Spiderman 3 syndrome where were going to be introduced to at least 5 new characters (WW, Bruce, Joker(maybe), Alfred, and Lex Luthor) and none of them are going to have enough development needed. It even looks like they are including a small batman origin / flashback scene which I don't think is really needed and could have been saved for Batmans own movie. The last thing we need is an origin story in a sequel. If Batman gets one, I think that Wonder Woman needs one (probably more so because not a lot of people are familiar with WW).

Im not saying it's going to be bad, but I do think it's going to be bloated.

Looked okay; didn't do much for me. Just not feeling the heavy and overly serious tone I guess. Not that I want goofy Adam West Batman or anything, but the drab palate makes the movie look so serious.

Lex looks bad, but I'm optimistic that Jesse will deliver.

His hair looks like his character in American Ultra though.

I'm sure this will never be used for anything else.

If there's one thing the internet does well, it's show restraint with Photoshop!
