Batman V Superman Final Trailer

I really don't understand why based on this trailer, which is just images without any real focus, people all of a sudden think this movie looks good.

Because I thought the movie was going to be awesome before the trailer and it did nothing to change that opinion, only reinforce it.

That trailer was sooooo much better than the first. Gave away very little, though I still think they should have left Wonderwoman out to reveal her in the movie.

Still, after the first trailer I'm not getting too excited. I thought it was great when I first watched it until I realised shit, they gave away like the whole movie...

I would be so pumped for this movie if it weren't for that Kimmel trailer. Could you imagine if this was the trailer that been the WW reveal? Short but sweet, and it doesn't stray too far away from the whole Batman/Superman conflict.

The premise of this movie is awesome and the trailer fully affirms my belief that this movie is gonna be awesome, so stop analyzing it before release and just sit back and enjoy the show.

looooooooool <3

Best trailer for sure.
Looks badass without spoiling too much

Also, it's nice seeing a Batman fight that looks good. I like the Nolan Batman movies as much as the next guy, but the fight scenes in them are terrible

I'm kind of surprised so many people like this trailer more than the SDCC one. As far as I'm concerned that one's by far the best, and the music choice is a little weird here but it's still a very solid trailer. Far, FAR superior to the last one. Thank God it's about to be replaced in theatres.

WB have my money already anyway, so my opinion's pretty irrelevant in this case. It's more important that certain naysayers turn around.

Also, I love that look Henry Cavill gives at the very end. Slightly quells my fears that Affleck is going to completely overshadow him in this, acting-wise.

This final trailer is amazing. Im actually hyped to watch the movie. If only they could figure out a way to remove that 2nd trailer off the internet.

So is he wearing the power gauntlets from Arkham Origins or what? Those punches are ridiculous lol.
I do expect that scene to be a "test run" for his new suit though.

Is it just me or is that whole if there's a even a 1% chance he is our enemy thing kinda totally not Batman?

I mean its essentially what Tower of Babel was about

And his OMAC arc.

And even... War Games

Dude is super paranoid about the worst in people!

I love Bruce but he's easily his own worst enemy. His paranoia and distrust of even those he's most closest to are big parts of his character throughout all different kinds of media. He's obviously in a bad place at the start of the movie.

Spoilers.

After Wonder Woman's nightmare (which we've seen in the trailers), she visits an Oracle to try and get a better sense of how accurate that future she foresaw in her vision is.

While doing that, she gets a glimpse of The Flash. As we all know, Flash can time-travel as well as hop between universes, so he takes it from there and we see more flashes (pun somewhat intended) of the future where the whole league is united.

It's not happening in the movie per se, it's more like a vision within a vision and it helps to set up the following movies.

The cool thing is that we see kind of like a montage of each member of the league (well, the ones that have already been cast) in their element, so to speak. So Aquamomoa is riding dolphins atop a tsunami, and Cyborg is in a virtual reality world not unlike Tron's. I think they even hint at Green Lantern (that part is CGI though because no GL has been cast yet).

Sources: my uncle owns a comic store and my ass.

I was believing you.

Depends on the writer, I guess. There are certainly versions of Batman that would think like that and prepare appropriate contingencies: Waid Bats (circa Tower of Babel) and Miller Bats are two I can think of off the top of my head.

I really hope this film redeems Man of Steel's portrayal of Superman.

I want Batman to call out the destruction of a big chunk of Metropolis' and I want Superman to verbally smack Batman down. "On my first day I saved the entire planet. What did you do on your first day? Stop a purse thief?".

Other than the music (which would fit in with a lighter tone action film like Fast and Furious or a Marvel film) this was a great trailer. Much, much, much better than the previous one.

It had secret sauce

It had a lot of Batman focus. People fucking love Batman for whatever reason, maybe they were born when the Burton movies were out, or because of Timm's Batman focused animated universe, or they haven't really read a great Supes comic. I loved Batman as a kid but diving into the DCU made me appreciate Superman much more.

If you want to believe Faraci, Superman has a lot of awesome moments, particularly the ending which he felt was compelling enough (or simply didn't want to give concrete details because lolreporting) to not spoil

I think this trailer was the most spoilerish. I knew the team up was inevitable and doomsday was likely, I don't give a shit about that. Seeing the meaty parts of the action scenes is why I watch these movies.

Enjoy... I hope.

Somebody needs to photoshop Kaz's face into Batman's and then the usual suspects (Spencer, Mattrick, Reggie) into the goons.
But when the tussle becomes the sole focal point of every aspect of the marketing, including the mandating of a shitty title, and said tussle causes over half the film's runtime to build up to it? I think that's maybe a bad call.
I don't know about that. I mean, the title is "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" so people already have at least a hint about the Justice League being born out of the conflict. If we're going by the title, then it's right there. Not all trailers have focused exclusively on their fight/antagonism (though to be honest it has for the most part shown them as enemies).

Basically, when you conceptualize your film starring Batman and Superman as Batman VERSUS Superman, you're not doing yourself or the characters any favors. You might still turn out something interesting, compelling, and fun. But after Man of Steel, the decision to make everything about finally getting Batman & Superman onscreen at the same time for the first time in history framed as an adversarial, angry throwdown?
I don't see the reason why that would be the case, but I understand how I might be the minority. After MoS destruction I feel like the only logical way to go (if Batman was to be introduced) was for him to go up to Superman and at least ask "what's up with you?". I guess another approach would have been for Superman to exile himself and then have a second movie that starts with a dangerous enemy (Metallo perhaps? Created by Luthor?) and then have Batman try to go against it and being barely able to hold his own. Then Superman comes back. Batman is not happy about it but the alliance is formed without having to fight first. Metallo makes sense if you're also going to introduce Cyborg right away.

Yes, my fan fiction blows :P

The movie might still end up fun and interesting - but that's a bad call. Not least of which being that, as we've already seen, people who don't know Batman & Superman always fight a little before becoming friends (said people do exist, I guess) will be angry and feel bait & switched that "Batman v. Superman" isn't even really about Batman fighting Superman, in the end. It's just a bad situation all around. Not an insurmountable one. But as per most of Zack Snyder's filmography, the motherfucker refuses to make it easy for himself.
This I can agree with. It makes sense and to be honest I completely forgot about "those people". I guess if the question is, objectively was it a bad call, I could see how the answer might in time be yes. Personally though? I'm fine with it. Thanks for taking the time to reply. :)
I was believing you.
As well you should. There's more where that came from. :P
Superman is going to take the El.
Dude. Dude. El-Oh-El. How is this post not getting more love?

They must be keeping a lot of Batman's offense against Superman under wraps. Outside of the blocked punch, Batman jumping on him and Batman tagging Supes in the face in that stairway it's been pretty much all Superman.

Batman's super power is his paranoia. Seems 100% like a batman thing to do with someone that is as powerful as Superman.

Batman's super power is Aura of Stupidity.
All characters within 50 meters of Batman forget how to use their powers or weapons until Batman tells them how to use them.

Of course. The thrill of this fight isn't who wins. It's how Batman holds his own, and what tricks and gadgets he uses to stun, distract, disable, etc. Superman.

Not really, we've also seen Batman firing from the Batwing(?) with what looks like a .50 cal (or at least some heavy weaponry), then there's also the rocket(?) which we assume to be loaded with Kryptonite and I guess the rifle type weapon that Bats is seen carrying when the cave troll shows up may also be used against Supes.

I feel like the trailer has been pretty even in showing both attacking each other.

edit: if the Batmobile is destroyed when it ricochets off Superman then I assume that the Batwing is destroyed by Doomsday? (The shot we've seen where WW shows up)
