Batman V. Superman Casting A Young Ben Affleck

The search is underway for a young Bruce Wayne for the highly anticipated Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice, Comic Book Movie reported.

The casting call posted on One Headlight Ink explains that Midthunder Casting is searching for a "10 -AND- 12 year old, caucasian boys (SAG principal roles – to portray a young Ben Affleck) who have extensive wushu, Kung Fu, or Pentak Silat training and experience.

The call added that they would consider high level (state – world champion) competitors in all martial arts forms. It stands to reason that young Wayne will be involved in some extensive training in the film.

Anyone wanting to audition would have to do so no later than Monday Morning 12/15/14. Interested parties can contact MidThunder at MidThunderCasting@gmail.com.

Maybe that Bruce was younger than the Bruce they'll have now? How old was Bruce when his parents died?

The murder takes place in 1981, we know Bruce is now around his mid-40s, so that would make him probably 9-12 years old in the flashback.

Weird as the killing scene is already filmed. Perhaps it's an older Bruce, but does it mean that the Wayne's murder happened when Bruce was like 7? Otherwise it will be hard to convince us that Bruce changed his whole facial features in one year. Or maybe they're reshooting the killing due to conflict with the child actor.

Or maybe they're casting Damian.

Batman has many teachers, Batman Begins just condensed his learning into College and Ra's al Ghul.

Begins handled it well within that confined universe, however in a wider universe(one in which Batman will be a member of the Justice League) i'd definitely like to see him have a deeper training background.

2. Zatara(basic escape techniques)
3. Ra's (combat)
4. Sensei/Kirigi/Shiva/etc(combat).

One possibility is that it's not for the film proper but for an advertising partner.

You might remember the Carl's Jr. / Hardee's Man of Steel ad that was directed by Zack Snyder and starred Henry Cavill in the suit shot around principle shooting.

Young Martial Arts Bruce Wayne might be for an ad using some film / set assets in a similar fashion.
