Why should that decide what game you play? You should play based on what you feel is the best/most fun to play. Both are way above critical mass of enough online players.

sorry got ahead of myself. I was thinking in terms of comparing it to BF4 if that comes out next year.

I couldnt really keep up with all the yearly Call of Duties. It was too much money for the same thing. I sort of wanted to work on my character for many years but its hard if the devs only make DLC for a limited time and the community gets segregated into future titles. But this happens for a lot of games now.

AN-94 is really godly mid/long range even with cobra sights (two shot firemode - long barrel). It's very unforgiving in Close combat. I think i'm going to ditch the bipod when i get the grenade launcher because it's deadly even without it.

Getting constant 3:1 KD but still unhappy everytime a tank comes up and i have to run away/hide compared to my Pecheneg C4 Kamikaze loadout.

Still not tried the M16A3, which often is regarded as the best Assault Rifle kinda lika the M4 for the Engie is.

Still so many weapons i didn't try. This game will last me a good while.

Yep, the AN-94 is definitely my favorite. (A close second is the G3). It has no equal in mid/long range. Honestly, I don't know why I don't see more people using it.
I usually carry along an m26 or m320Buck for the closer stuff. Never tried using the bipod on it because as assault, I usually don't stay in one spot long enough to deploy it.

Love the AN94. Able to drop people so fast and they don't even know what hit them.

Statistically, the ASVAL is my #1 now, because I use it with every class except Assault.

Recently tried the AS Val which was my main weapon in BFBC2 but after playing the whole day with pecheneg the clip felt like it had only 3 bullets and i got stomped. Will try agan.

M16 was the best till they nerfed it. M416 is now the best high fire rate assault rifle

The M16a3 is still the best all around assault rifle if you can control recoil. The M416 is the best all around if you can't control recoil well. The AEK is the best short to mid range, and the AN-94 is the best mid to long range. Here is a video on the M16a3 vs the M416 under suppression.

I can play for about 5-20 minutes before that error pops up, half the time it doesnt even bring me back to the desktop, i usually end up staring a black screen that i cant get out of.

So, I just finished the campaign a second time (this time on PC). Boy. What a horrible campaign. Enemy AI is cheap as hell, they know exactly where you are at all times, they completely disregard your friendly AI team and will only shoot as soon as they see you. Extremely shitty deaths at times brought upon weird events that won't see coming unless you already played the campaign once or are retrying the level, that make dying in Dark Souls seem fair in comparison. While I don't expect realism in my video game FPS stories, the campaign was all over the place for me. All this sprinkled with shit QTEs on top.

Anyways, multiplayer is still fun as hell, but geez.

does anyone have any recommendations for a flightstick or joystick to fly in? I use KBM right now and its horrible how you have to keep dragging the mouse.

and also how does that work? I'm playing on the ground with KBM but when I jump in a heli/plane I can just use the joystick automatically?

Say my cat jumps up and moves around my joystick while i'm on the ground, will that move my characters aim?

Legitech 3D is pretty much the best unless you go for $400 simulator stuff. Yes you just use it when flying, no it will not move your aim when your cat hits it. You can map or unmap it to any key bindings you want just like the kbm

Map pitch up(down if flight is inverted) to Spacebar, roll to D/A, and yaw to left/right mouse. I've never had to constantly move the mouse except when I was still playing on default settings.

Nope, still filled with servers for me.

Also AM just appeared on the filters.

It's a shame that most servers running vanilla BF3 only seem to run Kharg, Caspian and Firestorm on CQ Large. It's actually hard to find servers that run city maps (Seine, Bazaar and Tehran) that aren't empty or filled to the brim. Last time I looked for Karkand servers 19/20 of the populated servers were running Oman only.

Strafing those guys in a jet is only 100 points, but it has the feel of 1000.

Speaking of jets, why didn't DICE do proper joystick throttle controls? The helicopter controls are perfect but the throttle only has two settings, 0% and 100%. I swear it's been like that since 1942.
