Basically before it reduced the horizontal recoil by 50%, in these files it reduces h-recoil only ~20-33% depending on weapon.

Suppressors will not reduce the damage anymore.
Now it will reduce the distance where damage starts/stops to drop off instead.

Fuck servers with instant vehicle respawn, this game is already too noob friendly. You don't need to let people take vehicles with no repercussion for dying.

So, no changes to the USAS w/frags. This gun is obscene. I went 107-50 with it last night. Someone killed me 0-5 using it, and I sent him a "gg!" message. He replied back with, "you too. sorry about the frags. :p" Everyone knows it's cheap.

What the fuck at all the "Recoil Decreased" notes?
Seems like recoil kicks in faster but then it evens out quicker. Why are they decreasing recoil? :/

I guess the M98B nerf is supposed to compensate for the new chest damage multiplyer? Hmmm.

Some interesting and weird changes. All I really want more than anything is to discourage overuse of the USAS-12. Shoot I wouldn't be sad if they took it out of the game altogether but whatevs.

going from 5 to 8 and 7 to 9 particles to hit to kill at close range? with that random spread, it's gonna be the BC2 lotto all over again. or people will just stick to frag...

bolt action rifles are the new shotgun. just slap a red dot on!
 
Everyone here seems to think that the USAS is the biggest problem in the game right now. Am I the only one who thinks that the MAV is the biggest problem. That thing is the biggest annoyance out there. It needs to have a lot less health and people should not be able to stand on it. Personally, I think that this is the real issue over the USAS.

I think of it more of, "I should not have died so much but there was this stupid buzzing bitch that was trying to kill me while someone else gets an easy kill." I really never have problems fighting people using the USAS unless its in a building, which I stay away from anyways. They are both overpowered but I still think that the MAV is a bigger problem.

Here's what I think all the time: The only reason we did so bad was because our guys were riding MAVs and being useless. I don't get USAS Frag really, only gametype I play is 64 CQ/CQA and it rarely happens to me that I die because of that shotgun.

Regarding the nerfs/buffs I don't really care, Demize or who else that is in charge of those numbers will decide for something and we'll all have to go along with that decision. It's just going to be some new time adapting and eventually people will find out which gun to avoid, which weapon that suits them best etc.

No matter how much changes that are made players will always find the optimal weapon/combination and go with it until the next altering of characteristics.

Flashlights, gotta go. Frag rounds, gotta go. Jet unlocks that make you/new players a sitting duck? Gotta go. Air superiority with good pilots and them whining about constant locks despite the fact that flares and ECM jammer reload pretty goddamn fast and the personal anti-air missiles are pretty damn weak since DICE nerfed them? Gotta go.

So many things that need to be fixed (WHERE IS MY INPUT LAG PS3 FIX, ASSHOLES) and people are worried about "new maps" instead of Theater mode (to show balance issues and exploits/shit) and balance changes. SMH.

And the only major nerf that I agree with on the board that NEEDS TO HAPPEN (and still hasn't) is the Cheesemobile/mobile anti-air, or remove it from Norshal. It's gotten to the point where as soon as Norshal comes up I know I'm in for an annoying round since people abuse it on infantry and it chews helicopters up from 20 paces if the person piloting it is good.

It happens but mostly I like to stay with my team and not be a total douche and switch as soon as my team is losing. And having friends on your team is another good point..

And for the latter it doesn't help a bit asking for a little effort in team chat, I've done that a million times already. Static/useless Recons are slowly ruining the game

Flashlights? The amount of people using the flashlight is negligible. Frag rounds - possible but it's also a weapon that is easy to counter. The unlocks for the jets aren't a big deal, it's 800 points or whatever for flares. People only complain about that until they start unlocking things.
Regarding air superiority, chopper pilots are the ones that are the most vulnerable. They're rather slow, easy to spot and if you don't have a potent gunner (a friend in voice chat or one who knows when to pop flares) it can be very difficult to stay alive sometimes.

Then you, as many others, forget that a stinger isnt supposed to being able to take out a chopper alone. That would be ridiculous. It is however a very effective tool to fend off airborne vehicles. Add the fact that if a jet/chopper don't get out of locking range you can easily disable either one.
To that add mobile AA, add Soflam, add enemy attack helicopter, scout chopper with AA, Soflam on tanks and most hostile of them all = the jet gun. A single good strafe and the chopper is fried. Then add the fact that it takes some further skill to maneuver, evade and use the weapons equipped. But I can understand if it's a different thing on console. BC2 was hell on 360 when an enemy chopper was circling around your 12-man team and the AA was gone.

I've also seen the input lag on PS3 and it seems horrible and unplayable. Can't believe they haven't fixed that yet

staying in the air is hard. so much randomness and stuff to worry about like instant locks and missiles 1HK you and not the vehicle etc. what they REALLY need to fix is the jet ramming, i swear i die in a heli from being rammed by a jet more often than being shot down!

and i swear everyone, especially recons, are running around with those portable mini stars on their sidearm nowadays.

What good is that going to do if they're hiding in their base?

Is the general consensus that the MAV has no value, even if used as it was intended?

Once they fix the dumb MAV riding, I'd like for MAV's to be able to pick up and drop ammo or health boxes. Air crate drops are the only BF2 commander function that has no BF3 infantry equivalent.
 
What the fuck is going on with origins? Kicks me to offline mode again now, can get into battlelog fine but cant get that piece origin of shit to auth.

Hm, anyone know what's up with the claymore dog tags? I got the one for 5 service stars when I got the medal (300 kills) but didn't get the one for getting the medal. Will the medal one unlock when I get my 5:th service star?

How much difference does the jump from a 1800 DPI to a 3500 DPI mouse make? I'm using a Deathadder with 1800 DPI and sometimes I feel I'm having a hard time trying to nail a precise spot on the screen with a sniper rifle.

I must say, I'm starting to understand the frustration some of you feel at times. Every single match I played today was full of idiots. I've been patient with people in the past, seeing there was a lot of low-level people on my team or something, but my team was full of moderately ranked players and yet a large percentage of them weren't doing anything useful.

Stuff like having 4 snipers on top of a building in Rush is totally unnecessary on a console, where thats an entire 1/3 of our force. And thats on OFFENSE, leaving just 8 of us to actually get out there and get our hands dirty and a fair number of them seemed completely clueless as to what they should be doing. For instance, if you dont know how to fly a helicopter and you've got 4 other people onboard, relying on you to escort them from the aircraft carrier to land, GIVE SOMEBODY ELSE THE SEAT. I understand you need time to learn, but dont do it when crashing into the sea immediately loses us 5 freakin tickets in a blink of an eye.

Not once did I have any trust in my team. I remember getting across to land but I was on my own and knew fully well the defending team had a pretty tight lock on the remaining MCOM, so I hid and waited for squadmates to spawn on me instead of having to take a trip over on a boat or something where the enemies seemed to mowing everybody down who got near the shore. But nope. I'd make a run for it, figuring I was gonna be on my own and inevitably died, even if I took out a person or two on the way, which acheived nothing except pad my score.

AAARGH. Tonight was extremely frustrating. I was actually pretty close to raging at times.

I think I'm getting burned out on this game. I mean, I spent ages in BF2 mastering jets and helicopters but in this I can fly them with my eyes closed. I don't know, the game just feels "easy", or maybe I'm just bored with it.

Now it's just "Easy to Learn - Easy to Master"

I left this game for 2 months and when I hopped back in, I didnt have to relearn anything or warm up or anything like that. Felt like I never stopped playing.

The game is just too easy.

Lol i rage quit more games then i actually play, i might spend a good 10mins joining and leaving rooms till i find a good one. I can almost tell as soon as i join a room how its going to play out with randoms. Its just a shit show. I'd rather take that time and find a room and have fun with competent people then help a bunch of re-re's win. Embrace the rage! lol but don't go smashing anything...

1800-2000 is largely considered the FPS gaming sweetspot.

Go into your in-game settings and make sure your in-game sensitivity is set low. If that's set to high then your mouse settings are useless.

Also check your mouse settings through your PC's control panel. Make sure the pointer speed is set to 5 or 6 (I think it's out of 11... If so, choose 6).

If you want a challenge then try getting people in the public servers to play as a team.
