I left this game for 2 months and when I hopped back in, I didnt have to relearn anything or warm up or anything like that. Felt like I never stopped playing.
The game is just too easy.

1800-2000 is largely considered the FPS gaming sweetspot.
Go into your in-game settings and make sure your in-game sensitivity is set low. If that's set to high then your mouse settings are useless.
Also check your mouse settings through your PC's control panel. Make sure the pointer speed is set to 5 or 6 (I think it's out of 11... If so, choose 6).
Where can I find current numbers (or relatively current) for the population of BF3 on each of the three platforms?
I can't find them on Battlelog.

I was watching a youtube video about hard braking on jets and the guys used a settings editor (in case, the realmware one). I know that probably the editor is only changing stuff that you could change yourself, but is there any risk of ban?
I'm from The Netherlands. Other people I know don't seem to have the problem even those living here too.Are you in the UK? If so, this might have something to do with the hack that took place a while ago. I just checked and everything is fine for me.
I don't have much interest in HC simply because it rarely jives with the way the game was designed to be played, in terms of balance, and there always seems to be one gun that becomes the SUPER GUN in HC because of reduce health/increase damage. Harder to balance penalties.
As for the "realism" pov...there are games that do war-sim much better than BF3, so I play those when I need my fix.

I agree. HC completely screws up the balance of weapons in the game. Same thing in MW as well. It makes weapons like LMGs and Bolt Action Snipers worthless since a round from an SMG does similar DPS while having better reload speed and recoil.

They are, but at range or on the move a SMG may be better, as they are more accurate. And they kill in just as few bullets due to the reduced health.
I think HC would be fine keeping 100% health but eliminating regen and increasing supression. Couple that with no killcam, spawn in leader only, no 3D spotting and no 3D vehicle cameras and it would be a nice balanced game where it does not feel like everyone is running around with a golden gun.
So I guess we're never getting that 'balance patch', huh?
zh1nt0 claims that Feb was never the target date/it was a misunderstanding, so March is likely. No idea about that DLC.
An EA guy said that they have something to announce but they don't want to take the public attention away from "other EA products" (aka Mass Effect). So yeah, I guess we'll hear more after March 6th.
The patch sounds great. There needs to be a bit more variety from the usual foregrip+supressor combo. It's getting stale.

-Increased the spawn protection time from 1sec to 2sec. The protection will still be immediately canceled as soon as the player moves or shoots.

-Fixed a problem when locking on to two nearby targets, the locking should no longer jump rapidly between multiple targets. This applies to all locking weapons and Laser Designators.
-Added Horns to all Jeeps.
-Players will no longer auto enter SOFLAM, MAV, and EOD bots after they are deployed.
-C4 will no longer be detonable after a player respawns, if the player is revived within 5 seconds he can still detonate his C4.
-Claymores now live up to 5 seconds after a player dies, the player can have a max 2 claymores planted at the same time.
yeah, the 2 measly claymores you can plant should stay until the game ends or you plant more. them lasting thru death made them a strategical asset instead of something you just put behind you when you camp out.

I'm still waiting for them to reverse that AT mine on death decision. I know they don't want thousands of mines like the bug at launch, but damn it mines staying after death made them useful for defense.

The suppression thing is bullshit. A support dude was emptying his 100 bullet clip on me while I aimed and shot straight for his head about three times. Apparently the bullet wont hit only because you're suppressed even though your aiming is dead on. Range between him and me was about 80 feet. Plus he wasn't moving..

SCAR-H: Increased damage at maximum range and increased max range. The SCAR-H fires a heavier round than all other carbines, giving it better stopping power at range at the cost of a low fire rate that penalizes it in CQB.
