Battlefield 6 Beta |OT| Open Beta/Closed Weapons.

Well.... ya know me... I'm always down to continue the Saga of the Catgirl. Ultimately, it's mostly just another poor argument without actual evidence. They're big on that whole guilty until proven innocent thing.

I assume this guy is ESL, hence the AI voice and ninja avatar... but it's kind of funny as that's an extra level of fakery beyond just having a catgirl avatar in the corner...

The whole appeal to authority thing is ridiculous. So, we should ignore top legit aimers who aren't convinced of cheating. But then this person goes absolutely nuts trying to establish his authority as an Online Gaming Security God. While he does seem to possess more knowledge than say dipshit fraud Pirate Gaming, I'm not that impressed. Asmon himself always loves to pull the "I've been on the Internet for 20 years wow I know everything" card which is always funny to me when I have a solid 10 years seniority over him. But, there's always a bigger fish.

He also acts like if he finds one person on that list of 'aimers' who defended someone that was eventually banned for cheating, he's disproven the entire list's credibility. Whereas I already disproved the "Riley played on a different account" thing CallOfShame uses well before this video was even posted. By his own logic that tanks his credibility, and nobody should listen to CallOfShame.

And you can see Shame's potential deception in action as he calls his white paper "PhD Level" and for the rest of the video Asmon seems to think this guy has a PhD, which isn't explicitly stated and I tend to doubt. If you want to see his white paper: https://guardiantruesight.com/ , it looks like it's been updated since I read it last week. And it looks like he uploaded a video yesterday explaining his tool, which I will have to watch when I get a chance:

I think AI tools can probably have a place in cheat detection, but it's a heuristics approach, and in the world of 'soft aim', they can always make the aim just a little softer. In XIM world as more games try to detect XIM, newer XIM versions just give more and more options to massage the output to look more and more like real controller aim. But the first thing I checked was whether the tool is publicly available, and of course it's not. I get that he's drumming up interest, and he's probably overjoyed that his videos got put in front of Asmongold for the publicity. But if I can't test it against my own gameplay, it's kind of hard for me to validate the approach. If the idea is that he wants to license it to the big publishers that's fine, but lots of software is released free for personal use and charges for commercial use.

The thing that jumps out is that it seems reasonably simple to get started with Computer Vision, and that it might be a good personal project for me.

So, while this guy isn't completely retarded like 10IQGaming (I appreciate the truth in naming at least), I still see a lot of arguments that seem to be made in bad faith. There is something pathological about the anti-cheat community.

Edit: Forgot to mention the Valorant logins.txt thing. A little sus but it's a free-to-play game and it's absurdly common for people to build up a Smurfventory when it doesn't cost any money. I don't know the details of Valorant's matchmaking but I believe R6Rider R6Rider is a lapsed R6 Xbox player? I'm sure he remembers running into the 1 level 300 Plat and 4 level 20 Bronze type lobbies. Manipulating matchmaking is absurdly common in such scenarios, R6 having been previously a paid game, but Xbox Live Gold allowing you to make essentially as many accounts as you'd like that inherit your online privileges and access to your paid games on 'home console', or I suppose in the case of R6 you could just be running it from disc.

LMAO, the R6 in my name is actually a reference to my motorcycle, but I did in fact used to play a lot of Rainbow Six Siege on PS4/PS5. I have over 3000 hours of playtime.
Hah, I had kind of assumed it was from the game, but either way I guess it made it easy to associate your posts about Siege in the past with the GAF name.

I always thought it was inches.

Battlefield Hardline is the last game I played from the series (I liked it). I'm more of a Call of Duty fan (incase my whining in the Friday thread each week didn't give it away) but I'm really tired of CoD's bullshit, it's gotten beyond ridiculous and they do nothing to fix it.

How is it online? Does it have any similarities to CoD such as shooting someone 90 times and they don't die but they shoot you once or twice and you're dead?

Well in Cod you're not really playing a game, you're fighting against the various algorithms Activision use to manipulate your experience. So no it's not the same.

Battlefield requires a change in mentality. If you pick support, you need to revive people. Pick engineer and you need to repair your teams vehicles and destroy the other teams. You also can't win a match by yourself it's all about teamwork.

Yes! Revive your teammates you fucking KD whores, if you can't I have a Black Ops game to sell you 😂

I mean there is the assault class which is aimed at the Cod players. But once again you need to breach and clear, put ladders down, destroy cover so enemies can't hide behind it.

I actually like how Recon autospots enemies because the most annoying thing back in the day was those snipers who were obviously Cod players looking for 300m kill clips for a montage, went 5-0 and never spotted enemies. I think autospot should only work if you're using a sniper rifle though.

How will you know Vince campella wont do the same to BF6 since taking over…

I prefer BF6s gunplay over all previous games. They said theyre changing some things to prevent laserguns which is perfect

Really need more sway/bob when sniping.

Touch more recoil throughout all weapons rewarding controlled shooting would be nice too.

3 of the maps are large in size? Plus we know more are coming?
On release, 2 other maps are bigger than Mirak Valley, and Mirak Valley is sizeable. 3 more maps are being released when season 1 drops, including a big map set in California. The big maps are clearly going to be there. The people complaining are the ones just annoyed they weren't in the public beta. The variety of map sizes seems great

Yup. Things are looking good. Really looking forward to this being my main shooter this year.

Most of the map layouts have already leaked. We can tell they're still going to be narrow and 'lane based' like many of the maps we've already played and seen.

The only other map that seems to be large is Firestorm, and even then it was cut down in size compared to the BF3/4 versions.
We have all this coming at or shortly after launch. If this isn't good enough for you then I don't know what to say.

Plus there will be at least two years worth of free content coming. I don't see the issue.

Here is Riot Games senior anti cheat analysts opinion on that turbo retards "cheat detection" AI.

I saw this video on "Call of Shame." That guy has no credibility within the anti-cheat space, nor does he know what he is talking about. I have been around the industry for 3 years and have a working job within the anti-cheat space for 5 years. "Call of Shame" is just a mega larper like any other infosec person that says, "Just use AI." These people do not have any idea how anti-cheat works, nor how game cheats legitimately work.

And what the fuck is an "AI anti-cheat"? This guy just developed the most groundbreaking anti-cheat I assume here, and he is gatekeeping it? Buddy, you could make millions of dollars if you were to analyze footage and determine someone was cheating just based on that alone. This is like watching a kid who has seen the Matrix movie once and believes they are Neo. It is absolutely ridiculous that people fall for this bullshit.

Whether @rileycs_ is cheating is up to the anti-cheat systems. There is no foolproof cheating system that cannot be reversed/detected/prevented, just like there is no anti-cheat system that is foolproof.

But it is all about the barrier and skill of their engineering team able to identify X person's cheat.

By just looking at RileyCS clips, it may look suspicious, but this is normal behavior and aiming styles of people within the aim community groups who obsess about things like this. Could they be cheating? Of course, that's always a possibility, but pretending that you know what cheating looks like based on footage analysis and running it through your make believe "AI anti-cheat" is absolutely the funniest shit I have seen in a long fucking time.

But let's say they are cheating; Battlefield has a ton of bullet drop, and getting the "offsets" and math calculations from a game like Battlefield is a reverse engineer's nightmare. It is not easy; you have to account for hundreds of weapons and attachments, as well as distances. This is all a huge amount of work that I would not believe a cheat developer could pull off during a beta launch, maybe in the next 3-4 months, and also maintain it every single update. Lmao, have fun with that.

Let's also not forget working cheats = does not mean UNDETECTED. Cheat developers go in blind; they do not know what anti-cheats flag. ASSUMING you have an undetected cheat without having done the A/B testing for months to see what gets you banned or not during an open beta is also just a fucking hilarious assumption of these larptubers, anti-cheat vigilantes.

It just shows again they do not know what in the living fuck they are saying. Anti-cheat systems do not ban on instant due to the A/B testing iterations cheat developers will go through to find the best and most "undetected method." Another thing to keep in account: let's say there is an x flag that exists; there is not a lot you can do as a cheat developer to get around it, assuming those exist on the anti-cheat system to begin with.

The best he would get is an aimbot, which is static, and ESP, both of which would be blatant for anti-cheat on the data side to detect on day 1. This is genuinely the dumbest witch hunt I have seen by people who look at the ground when they play and think they have any slight idea what cheating looks like.

Not even joking, it looks at rotation speeds to determine if someone is cheating by assuming 500°/sec is beyond human capability. Even on 35cm/360 I can do far more than that.

Bottom of the barrel retardation that one.

Don't buy it then and wait 6 months.

Seems to me people just like being pissed about something. If there was 10 large maps at launch im sure there would be something else to moan about.

You're not a true Battlefield fan unless you're playing on a map where you have to sprint for 5 minutes to find some action.

Seriously that Mirak Valley map looks cool in places but every time I skipped through that video the guy was just running through an empty field or a trench with no one in sight.

The game literally has the smallest CQ maps of any recent BF. As a Battlefield fan for 2 decades now I don't see how I can possibly not be disappointed.

The series has always had a mix of big/medium and smaller maps. What is there 9 maps at launch split across the sizes with more dropping when season one starts? Seems decent enough to me in this day and age.

Just going to hazzard a guess that not all the player base wants nothing but big maps. Me included.

You already sound like you don't want to like the game. Probably best not wasting your cash.

Or the maps could be designed as proper sandboxes so me and the boys can hop in a transport jeep and flank around unnoticed to flags/bases in the rear like we did in the BF2,3, and 4 days.

Again there are 3 larger maps and more coming. Keep moaning about a problem that only exist on Reddit.

Larger if you're comparing them to CoD maps, but by BF standards they're still small and limited.
What?

Maybe they change the layout slightly to compensate for the gameplay in this title? Weird I know.

They are the same size or bigger than the old Caspian Border. You liked that map right?

Not that I really care about any of this, but I do watch any of CoS's videos as well as any related videos that pop up in my YouTube feed. I just find them entertaining and funny. I will say though that like half of what that guy was talking about isn't even related. He talks about BF having tons of bullet drop (BF6 doesn't really have a ton but whatever). CoS's program doesn't do anything with bullets or hits or anything similar. It's just crosshair placement. That's it.

Is that dude cheating? Maybe but idk. That's up to the devs to figure out. Also whether or not CoS is completely bullshit, at least he shines a light on potential cheaters.

Guarantee the most popular playlist on 2042 is 'Close Quarters Conquest'.

I get the appeal of the big warzone and capping points strategically, but I feel like the people who prefer these spend the rest of their time playing strategy games. The vast majority want hotzones they can drop into and get working on. Rush and Breakthrough enable this gameplay by focusing on specific areas.

Caspian Border was good because of the both the size and flag layout which encouraged dynamic gameplay. I dont know what Sobek's layout will be like, but Mirak Valley having almost all its flags being lined up in a straight line is silly.

Agreed but Its not final, they are changing things in labs all the time.

Yeah. I like both myself to be honest. Sometimes i just want a quick 15-20 mins shooting dudes. If this game does that well along with the bigger modes then we have a winner.

I think they need to sort out the finer details myself because some of the modes played really bad on some of the maps.

alpha gameplay, with limited players, isnt really a good demo of how the map plays imo

I like both too, and we will get both. The whining does get tiresome though, the BF subreddit is just full of people going 'back in my day blah blah blah'.

And on a side note of that, open weapons is absolutely not a problem. Just as long as they incentivise using certain types of weapon with class specific perks.

I will add a disclaimer that my opinion has completely changed from 2042 fatigue. Force yourself to play 10 hours of that game and all of your concerns about 6 will disappear.

I'll reply again rather than an edit.

See, I show you big maps. Now your not happy with the flag placements instead lol.

What? Surely you jest? I'll be disappointed if Firestorm has been cunt down. Great map with lots of tanks and air combat.
