Full game of conquest on Mirak Valley. Map looks good. Environment is much more open than anything in the beta
Why the fuck has the engineer still got 2 launchers......utterly retarded
DICE please engage your brain for 2 secs

Yes, it has been in previous games. 2042 has it for sure.I like hearing when each rocket shot hit the tank at ~18:15 above. Good sound cue if that was what was actually happening. Don't recall that in BF of old?

It was dog shit when it first released, but now it's alright. There is some fun to be had for sure.Just got BF2042. Judge me!
Eh, most of Golmud is empty space.'spiritual successor' to BF3 and 4 they're calling it. But even the biggest map is a fraction of the size of some of the maps from those games.....the closer we get to release the more disappointed I feel

Thats kind of the point. Its space that allows you to approach objectives from different directions and it also allows them to spread out the objectives on two axis, rather than one.Eh, most of Golmud is empty space.
It was well beyond the space needed to do that. Golmud had huge areas that were pointless to the flow of the map, flanking or not.Thats kind of the point. Firestorm gameplay
Dude is awful
To me this almost basically the same, not sure what you mean by "a good amount". They just changed part of the layout to belong to a spawn now.The Firestorm layout leaked and compared to BF4 it looks like a good amount of the playable space was shrunk down....

Pretty much done with the xp grind for the 2042 battle pass. Just hit level 32 so now I can just do the weekly challenges to finish it.
More XP events!
We've heard your concerns that you might have missed out on an XP weekend already, or might miss one of the upcoming ones, making it harder to catch up and get all the items from the Free Battlepass you've wanted. We therefore will have a double XP events every weekend until the Free Battlepass ends on October 7. Additionally, the last two weekends will feature triple XP gains, so keep those circled in your calendar!
At least one of the videos above shows some Firestorm.Any leaks of operation firestorm?

ladders in action, wonder how this will effect getting on roofs on say cairo
First thing I did in the beta was remove the kill feed, tooltips, and in-game chat. What else would you turn off? Those no HUD videos are a huge tease. Hopefully they let us dial in the customization settings more so than the beta. This game was meant to be played with as few icons on the screen as possible.
Can't wait for the ladder strats.Really cool gadget, expecting a lot of hotfixes for glitches with ladder on the first week![]()
I turned those off as well. The opacity settings of objectives didn't seem to work properly when aiming down sights. I'd also remove the squad info next to the map, remove the score board at the top of the screen, reduce the size of the mini map, reduce the size of the ammo and gadget info, and anything else to make things less cluttered. I didn't see any of these options in the beta. It would be great to be able to turn off the spotting diamonds but I'm really hoping they just do away with those in general. 2042 has most of these options so I'm optimistic.First thing I did in the beta was remove the kill feed, tooltips, and in-game chat. Yeah fuck this. I'll get the BF4 engineer skin and peace out. I'm done with this game.
this is the only thing im trying to get. hopefully they won't nerf the battle pass xp too much.Yeah fuck this. I'll get the BF4 engineer skin and peace out.
Tedious = hitting a vehicle a single time with a shoulder-mounted rocket, apparently. Seriously, just one Lis rocket is all it took! This weeks BF2042 battle pass challenges are so bad that I'm considering not finishing it. Not only are they all tedious vehicle based challenges
2000 vehicle damage is tedious for someone who doesn't give a shit about playing engineer.Tedious = hitting a vehicle a single time with a shoulder-mounted rocket, apparently. Seriously, just one Lis rocket is all it took!
I'd argue the revives in smoke and healing challenges were much more tedious, mostly because many players don't give you the chance to revive and are blind to health packs.
This week's challenges are basically just "play engineer". I played ONE round as engineer just now and easily completed 3 of them.
Both hilarious and incredibly sad.Not gonna lie, the people complaining about voluntarily grinding out a game they don't enjoy to get cosmetics in another game is hilarious to me.
Sunk cost fallacy. I was having fun for 30 hours because it was all new to me, now I understand why people hate this game. Not gonna lie, the people complaining about voluntarily grinding out a game they don't enjoy to get cosmetics in another game is hilarious to me.
Thank you Dice! Game still looks damn nice![]()
Battlefield 6 ditches ray tracing to prioritize performance on all platforms
Battlefield 6 developers are skipping ray tracing, focusing instead on smooth performance, lower specs, and accessibility across PC and consoleswww.windowscentral.com
Engineer is the most re**rded class. Face f**k a tank for half the match with your tool out, or stare at the sky half the match with your javelin hoping there's another idiot like you on your team doing the same thing.2000 vehicle damage is tedious for someone who doesn't give a shit about playing engineer.
I've stopped caring about the objective. Fire javelins, redeploy for more. I'm completely checked out.
Thank you Dice! Game still looks damn nice
The link literally says they did NOT use Ray Tracing in any version.I genuinely have no idea in what maps and areas there was raytracing on console, but a steady fps is always key, good on them.
