Well on Rush for the first base you take the Huey over a foot hill and you're already at the enemy's base which is a temple. Same with the tank. Then the next base is over another hill and is really close so it doesn't take long to get there. Then we stormed up this other hill and took the last MCOMs within like 20 seconds so I didn't know wtf was going on. It's kinda crappy and clusterfucked (not in a good way). Maybe it will grow on me. I found a flanking route with the tank if you take it in the water (first base) and hug the shoreline which was kind of fun.AcridMeat said:

Yeah I've put in the time but I just don't like the Vietnam expansion. I want to like it but I don't. I respect that it plays differently than the default game but it seems to have amplified all the qualities I don't actually like in the vanilla game without the redeeming features that I do like. I'll stick to playing the vanilla version.

I reached to the conclussion that Hill 137 is a very shitty conquest map, and it's several times more shitty as more stupid players on your team decides it's a good idea to go into wookie mode in their base instead of getting bases.
I have mixed feelings about Vietnam maps, but I definetly enjoy the gameplay tweaks, getting down a chopper with your trusty rifle assault it's awesome and needs to be added to BC2:Vanilla.

Snipers were a waste in vanilla BC2, they are just more of a waste in Vietnam.

BFBC1 was a better game. It was more balanced with no perks and weapon upgrades. And maps were better. Also enemies had A LOT of health even though you still could kill 3 of them with one burst of specops guns. That means there were much less campers and bullshit recons.

But tracer darts are bullshit on consoles in it's current state, so I'm glad we can take choppers before getting continuously rapped by circle straffers.

Vanilla runs like crap on my PC but Vietnam is smooth as butter. Cursed slow CPU.
Good to have my battlefield fix again though. Shooting down choppers with tanks is especially glorious. =)
