Battleborn is $40 already? Holy bomba. I have a $10 certificate that can bring the price down to $22, that's really tempting.

It's a shame, honestly. It's not a bad game, but the population is already really low on PC. :\
Might be better on consoles, though.

Tempted for Just Cause 3 but it's still high for me. With so much backlog I can wait for it be cheaper. Any word on performance issues?

Just Cause 3 is still basically unplayable on the XBONE, so don't waste the cash.

Quantum Break is drifting closely into impulse territory, though.

I'd honestly be very worried about player populations in Battleborn with the impending Overwatch juggernaut coming. On Steam the game is already down to around 5k peak population a day and there seems to be some complaints in the thread about PS4 queue times as well.

I've heard that as well. Luckily I have a friend that already has the game and we can play together.

Isn't the term bomba supposed to indicate a failure in sales... a lot of the games listed did well.

Why even put bomba in the titlle?

Why not just say " Games have discount, go buy games because they are fun"

Unplayable is hyberbole. If you're not a framerate drama queen, it's completely playable. I finished it on Xbox One. Then again, there isn't a game on Xbox whose framerate stopped me from playing, so maybe that's just me.

Battleborn is really damn good, It just takes a few hours to fully appreciate the nuances of the gameplay. I'd encourage you guys to grab it and enjoy some great co-op and pvp (especially meltdown mode)

Anyone who owns the game will be getting a new free character and four or so new co-op missions soon.

Rise of the Tomb Raider is the best game on that list in my opinion and it's $25/$20 GCU for Sunday only as it's part of Best Buy's Deal of the Day. From May 23rd to May 28th, it will be $30/$24 GCU. Either way, a great price for a great game.

The way I always understood it, bomba just meant big news regarding price... What you're referring to (a game that did bad) was always just a bomb.

it dipped into that classification for me. Not the sort of person to ever care about it, but I genuinely think it's below the level of being acceptable. Consistently below 30fps, hitching up severely when stuff gets properly chaotic. In other words, it stops working right as Just Cause starts being what it is.

Not to mention the lengthy loading time at start up, or the nearly 60 seconds that separate a new attempt on any side mission.

Oh, and it's just a bad sequel in general. Even if the game ran flawlessly, it's inferior to JC2. Wingsuit is fun, but the core base-clearing dynamic is far less enjoyable than before. Story missions are bloated with bad escort quests and generic event design.

Quite honestly, Square Enix should not have released it in this state. Microsoft shouldn't have let it hit shelves.

Because I have no faith in the community existing in 2 month on the Xbox One if so.

People are tripping on queue times for ps4. Have been on since day one and haven't had any complaints. As a matter of fact as of late their ranking and matching system has been working as intended aswell

More than half of those games are underperformers...only one did great.

But mostly the title is just for fun.

Agreed. I thought the game was very bad until about 18 hours in. It grows on you. There's really a lot to like. I'd still say Overwatch is better, but not by as much as people think. It's a shame. Battleborn honestly deserves better.

The 360 version (developed by Nixxes iirc) had lower input lag somehow which made it easier to aim when thing got hectic. The Xbox one version, however, looks a lot better graphically and I had no trouble playing through it on one of the higher difficulties. Just get the X1 version if you have an X1.
