If this 5-10sec censorship is what I'm thinking it was, then I'm glad it is getting/has been removed.

Lenta.ru apparently just talked to some Sony reps and they said that the NA version is uncut and Russia would be getting the same version as the US (so uncut as well).

So NA is uncut and EU has 10 seconds worth of edits that reduces some unnecessary and gratuitous violence (which the whole development team agreed upon). Sounds fine to me!

Yep, the music is fantastic. Lorne Balfe, Hans Zimmer and Normand Corbeil (RIP :/) did a very good job. This is mostly true for all Cage games though, it probably helps that he is a musician and ex-composer too.

Steelbook ordered, no demo played, minimal footage watched since initial reveal, I'll be avoiding any threads that look spoilerish until I've completed it.
I loved Heavy Rain and couldn't praise it enough for doing something different for a change.

Great OT, good job.
Really quite hyped for this. I resisted the temptation of the demo, have the steelbook on pre-order with Amazon and even fired up Heavy Rain last night to get myself ready for an epic story driven adventure.
Am a little disappointed about it censored though.

Watched someone play through the entire demo... wow, that was fantastic and much more crazy than Heavy Rain. The music was fantastic as usual (Fahrenheit and HR had really good soundtracks as well).

I was genuinely surprised by the technical quality of the demo. After HR and early footage of Beyond I was expecting massive tearing and frame dips. Even the controls seem more refined. The fighting mechanics, while simple, are... Dare I say interesting?
I haven't checked the demo thread so I wonder if anyone shares some of these sentiments.

I resisted playing the demo, but I read impressions and they were positive. I pre-ordered the special edition for 33 quid, its now sold out and normal edition goes for 40 on Amazon lol.

I don't know, I like heavy rain's controls better as they clearly tells you which buttons u gotta press, here..there's some guessing around sometimes that are the wrong choices which it seems perfectly doable to me before the sequence is played out.
Too much smartphones swiping controls I think.
ps. Can you actually push cars and stuff towards where you want them to go, or is it just upwards?

It's pretty good for the four hours I've played. They do some interesting stuff with how they roll out the narrative and build up the characters and their background.

Nope, but I'm really digging how it plays out from what I've played in the demo. Successfully finishing up prompts perfectly is very satisfying.
I am so hyped for this game. It's going to be the last game I'm buying this gen before moving on to the PS4!
OP, can you please add that Lorne Balfe and Hans Zimmer are creating OST for this game. Heavy Rain had a fantastic music, I cant wait to hear how Beyond will sound!

Played the demo and I have to say I just didn't have fun. I normally have nothing against QTEs but here I often found them downright annoying (shake/lift controller).
I also found the characters pretty weak although that complaint is maybe a little premature since it's only a demo and there was little time to develop characters. I suppose it'll all work much better in the framework of the whole game as opposed to these snippets.

Well, if that's the case I shouldn't probably touch HR either.
The original article does not say the US version is uncut. It only says that Russia will get the same version as US without additional changes.
I cannot imagine that Russian branch of Sony knows anything about differences between US and EU versions, I'd say their quote just meant that they had received US version for localization.

I've been on a media blackout ever since the first trailer. At this point, i don't have a clue what this game is about. I've read some snippets about first person and shooting/army bits combined with supernatural and dodgy controls. I loved Fahrenheit and Heavy Rain but i'm not sure how excited i am for this one. I guess i should play the demo to have a better understanding of what the game is about.
I was just going to rent this game, and I wasn't all that excited for it, but then I played the demo. I was reluctant because I was not a fan of Heavy Rain's controls, so I was very wait and see on this game. However, after playing that amazing demo, I am more than sold on it. I decide to drop one of the games I was planning for the PS4 launch and get this instead. That means that Beyond beat out BF4 for me.

Rain today, Beyond and WWHD next week, then Zelda 3DS, Mario 3D World and PS4 launch..
Looking forward to downloading the demo later today. The idea of playing a character from childhood to adulthood intrigues me a lot, I just hope Cage can pull off convincing dialogue like TLOU. This is definitely one of those games where the reviews will determine whether I purchase or not.
