I've been looking around to order this baby for PS3 in mainland EU and I came across something called the Rapture Edition that is exclusively sold by zavvi (check the link).

Now what makes me think twice is the lower price point compared to the regular edition.

Has someone got any details on this and is it safe to order this or not?

I don't really care for extra stuff, but I want the game itself.

Specialist stores such as Game and EB Games love to rape consumers in the arse over here, especially when it comes to CEs/SEs. EB Games accidentally put up the GoW 3 Ultimate Trilogy Edition up for pre-order a little while back. Their asking price? AU$248. :/

The Rapture Edition shipped already, they don't mess around it seems.

Now for the long wait while dying in Demon's Souls.

The embargo ends today at 5PM (GMT)/12PM (ET) so expect all major websites publishing reviews at that time.

there isn't even an icon yet, and the game title hasn't changed over from 'Bioshock 2 pre-order' to 'Bioshock 2'.

Not liking the chances of a smooth unlocking.

Expected my PS3 version through the door this lunchtime, but nay, only bills, bills, bills.

So looking forward to this now. It could really have been a disaster but the story looks to be in good shape (apart from no Ryan), and the general consensus that if you liked the first you will like this. Music to my ears.

Bring on tomorrow.

Just got my copy through the door ( Rapture Edition ) - shame I'm working 7.30am - 17.15pm...and therefore wont be home till 6.30!! Still, only 5 1/2 hours to go!

I'm looking forwards to playing this but it's kind of weird for me. I'm actually mostly hyped about AvP next week, so I'm not too worried about playing this tonight or tomorrow or whenever. I just want to get the single player campaign beaten by the end of the week and I'll be good I think.

Ok, I've committed the ultimate sin,

I didn't finish the story of the original Bioshock (got close but not close enough) does this mean my experience of Bioshock 2 will be hindered due to not knowing the back story?

started playing a bit. feels just like the 1st one. i notice there is more storytelling so far, i come across recordings more often than the 1st one. the new boss of rapture, lamb, sounds pretty good. i have the new gun which i've been using mainly. i find i dont use the drill that much, it actually carries fuel which you need for the drill attack. the new hack gun/minigame is pretty cool, you can finish a hack in just a few secs. i also just got the gatling gun i think.

so far it feels more like an expansion, i'm hoping the new weapon upgrades, different type of enemies and more storytelling will make it feel more like a separate game. there is some butterfly theme thing going on with lamb which is pretty cool, i cant wait to see how it all plays out.

yeah, its what i started playing on. it has easy, med, hard.

i dont think you need to finish the 1st. the char you play as here seems like a new person w/ a new objective.

Just wanted to ask, does this game still have the "get killed and you can still continue beating the shit out of a big daddy" feature?

Started the first 5 minutes before work <3. Nice artbook I got with it as well :D. Can't wait to toke up tonight and get myself lost in Rapture again.. FUCK YEAH!

I haven't really spoiled myself on anything, hardly know anything about the story either. I mean I know you play as the first Big Daddy, there's a female Daddy and that's pretty much all I know :p.

from what ive read at least.... the litle sister will heal the big daddy back up again once you die. So There isn't a die and then come back to finish him off tactic anymore

Reading that bothered me at first until after reading it for the 4th or 5th time I see you said little sister and not big sister. Now I am not bothered by it. :lol Need more coffee.

I fired up Bioshock 1 last night for a couple hours and am now incredibly hyped for #2.

It was the first time I've played it since August 2008 and holy shit Rapture is still one of the best environments ever made...

It seems that the Limited Edition might be truly living up to it's name. Gamestop.com is sold out of the Limited Edition for all three platforms, kinda crazy considering the game hasn't even been released yet. Even more shocking, they might not have enough stock to meet their existing preorders. A good friend of mine has reported that he just received a call saying that his PS3 Limited Edition preorder was backordered.

In short, people wanting to walk in sometime during the first week and pick one up are probably screwed. It is still in stock at Amazon.com though, so if you want one and you don't already have one pre-ordered with Gamestop, act fast. Even if you do have one pre-ordered, well, you better cross your fingers

I played about a hour of it and it's definitely a bioshock ass bioshock game. Little Sisters are much more tougher then big daddies. I'm liking it alot so far though. Also drill >>> wrench.

My PC CE was delivered today from zavvi but it has a release date verification process and won't let me play until tomorrow =(

Really sweet looking CE though!

just got my special edition (PC), fantastic packaging and content, GAME also sent me a nice Little Sister figurine that I'm placing right next to my Big Daddy figure from the original Bioshock Colletors Edition, it's been a while since I last used a record player though :lol

Where did you order it from? I don't think my LE comes with a little sister figurine :(
