+1 Bioware, makes me love Edmonton ^_^

Any other Edmonton GAF'ers go crazy when they were playing MDK2 and it said the comet or whatever was headed towards Edmonton? :lol

I actually have a friend who beta tests at Bioware, he's been playing Jade Empire, and he's beat it 7 times so far. One of my other friend's' brother works there too as a programmer IIRC.
Your friend's brother is extremely lucky. I hope to get a job there as soon as I get my BA in Computer Science. I don't mind moving out of Southern California(i'm getting sick of it anyway)

I really miss the old SSI/TSR games, though.

We all miss the Gold Box games.

Oh, and +500 Bioware. It's going to be a long wait until March 2005. At least I have KOTOR 2 to play. BG was the game that got me back into RPGs.

We REALLY should have gotten the 3rd Savage Frontier and 3rd Dark Sun games (not including Crimson Sands)

*sighs*

if you mean those gold box d&d adventures, I agree. I like those more than the BG/IWD games so far (well, to be fair, I haven't played IWD2).

I do. The Goldenbox games rocked. Hard. Not too long ago I repurchased most of them on some CD anthology thing. Awesome.

Oh hell, good luck finding it. It's obsolete now, out of print, that is.

Forgotten Realms Archives - Silver Edition. Published by Interplay. I think it even game with a Baldur's Gate demo!

Edit - Looking at the box, it includes, all on CD:
Eye of the Beholder I, II, III
Forgotten Realms Epic (Pool of Radiance, Curse of the Azure Bonds, Secret of the Silver Blades, Pools of Darkness)
Savage Frontier Epic (Gateway of the SF, Treasures of the SF)
Hillsfar
Dungeon Hack
Menzoberranzan
Blood & Magic
Baldur's Gate demo

It's missing the Dragonlance games, sadly.

Thank you very much! I will have to check around for that. Hopefully ebay has one in good condition.

Dam I am on the look out

This might help. My box looks a bit different. It's a Windows 95/98 version, not DOS, and as far as I can tell, comes with the complete version of Blood & Magic, not the demo. (The demo included here, as I mentioned above, is for Baldur's Gate.)

Edit - Ah yes. I have the re-released version, as listed on that very same link.

I might check out a few shops tomorrow before I think about ordering it online, some of the second hand copies cost more then the new copies!

Eye of the Beholder- is it a good game? I found it brand new six months ago.

Same here. *Crosses fingers* I would prefer to buy it in a store.

Yes one problem in BG2:TOB is you’re party so God like they had to come up with some crazy battle ideas to keep the difficulty up.

BTW you don’t fight gorain it’s a master wraith who assumes his form and screws with you’re mind. He would also screw with anybody you were romancing by Turing into somebody they love and say crazy shit.

Derr, why do you think I put "Gorion" in quotes?

And that was precisely my problem--my party was most decidedly not godlike. I was schlepping along just fine but that wraith was a damn brick wall and by that point I'd had enough.

Nathan

I found this 14 game collection (or one very similar to it, the box is totally different) on eBay for about 8.90, $13.xx shipped. I just ordered one, and there are a few more identical options there.

Thank you very much Ani. Shouldn't be more than a 15 minute drive. Mapquest, here I come!

That wraith was nothing compared to some of other battles in TOB, just remember that Dragons Breath and Greater whirlwind attack are you’re friends.

If you're looking for old PC games, you should try Ebay. I recently got into collect old PC games. So far, I've gotten King's Field IV & V, $5 each brand new unopened as well as a used copy of Magic Carpet 2 and an unopened copy of Magic Carpet 1.

The most expensive old game I've seen going would be the Ultima Collection(Ultima 0 - 8 on one CD); costing up to $99 used and brand new! I tried to get my hands on it several times, but I always get outbid. :lol

As a neat trick, if you search for a game, sometimes try purposely mispelling it's title. For example, like spelling 'Lord of the Rings' as 'Lord of the Ring' or 'Lore of the Rings'. Sometimes, people make a simple spelling mistake when they list their items which can lead to buyers not seeing it, thus making less people bid. :) There was an unopened copy of Lord of the Rings Vol.1 for PC by Interplay (SUPER RARE). Bidding started at $1.99. It was mispelled so no one was bidding. I bid on it and after 4 days, no one bidded until the last moment when some guy went up a dollar higher than and I lost. Bah!
