Bloodborne gameplay : The first 18 minutes

Sorry, I'm not super informed, is day/night cycle confirmed? Wasnt the alpha just this area but at night

Theres no real time day/night cycle. But I believe, when you progress in the game, you may go back to that area in a dark night. Or maybe they just changed this region time setting for the full game.

Looks pretty cool, especially the art style and atmosphere. Still not sure I'll pick it up, though. I've only played Demon's Souls. I mostly liked what I played, though I didn't quite like the invading mechanic. I think that's part of why I stopped playing.

You could have played in offline mode.

What's embarrasing is your overreaction and poor eye for detail. It's a different time of day, so he his shadow is cast to his left. Seriously ?

I think he was joking.

We should totally discuss those ugly, low quality 2D sprites they have for dry shrubs all over the place. They even animated them to move when the character is nearby and yet he clips through them. KojiPro had individual blades of grass (polygonal grass, mind you), move as a reaction to the character going through on PS2 (MGS3). PS4 can't even do that. Cerny should be concernyd. I know I am.

Let's say Dark Souls 3 devs release new gameplay videos. Concern trolls, with intention of stirring heated debate and deningrate the game, will post and oversell non-issues or minor niggles "the dragon scales look off, framerate is chugging, seems like downgrade to me, can anyone confirm".

indeed, combined with the series staple "YOU DEFEATED" message when, well, you die.

for those who played souls series on consoles, how does it compare visually?

all my memories are skewed because of downsampling
It looks much, much better.

The PS3 couldn't pull this off to save it's life. All the proof you need is to look at the "Project Beast" trailer which was clearly supposed to be a PS3 release at one point. The upgrade in overall graphical quality is clearly obvious.

How the fuck are so many people getting sniped by Blobbers obvious troll post? Is this the first day of the internet for some of you guys?

That dude is fucking around.

jesus

I'll edit it teehee

Hahahahaha, great edit.

But why? World tendency was one of the best things in DeS. The way the world and encounters changed was adding to the replayability.

I'm not a fan :C

I don't think there's anything in Demon's I like over Dark, to be honest. So I hope Bloodborne is a lot more Dark than Demon's.

I can deal with the hub world, though, Majula was nice too.

Yes, with different ToD come different encounters, different NPCs that come and go etc, and all based on your win/death ratio.

Different enemy behavior is confirmed, isn't it?

As a Souls-only player, how did World Tendency actually work? I picked up a bit on ENB or Vaati videos, but didn't get it, really.

I always enjoyed Demon's spell system more than Dark's but obviously that doesn't matter with Bloodborne. I would like to see a return of the tendency system but I would like to see it more user controlled. Like with the Chalice Dungeon it would be cool if you could do a ritual to alter the time of day of the level and increase the difficulty by adding or altering the enemies in the level.

Fair enough.
But i still hope it is WT :P

If they do implement something like world tendency, they need to make it less of a pain to control. Running around with half-hp, even with the cling ring, is pretty annoying.

I agree. Maybe it was a bit punishing, but if they make it so the darker it gets, more dangerous encounters happen, without changing your status then it would be great.
Also all this is dumb speculation and the game is releasing pretty soon, so we'll see.

If the game comes out March 24, 2015, this aint an early build.

Oh, I wouldn't know about that, I don't really use magic in Souls games. Used Pyromancy once in Dark I, but didn't like it that much.

I think I would like something inspired by World Tendency but less of a pain to control (or even completely out of your control). Playing offline and killing yourself in the Nexus to do it is far from what I'd call interesting or fun.

Dying while being human would take the world's tendency towards black, while killing bosses and named black phantoms would take it towards white. The whiter the world the stronger you are but the worse the enemy drops. When you reach pure white or pure black tendency (ie. you max out the tendency either way), some new event are unlocked: new items can be found, new black phantoms will appear, etc.

Nobody's mentioned yet that they got their name from actually using the word 'concerned'. It was rife in Driveclub threads, comments like "I'm concerned that the visuals may have taken a hit."

It was ridiculed due to how ridiculous the word 'concerned' was to use over a video game. I mean, honestly, google the word 'concerned' and see the types of expressions coming up...

"The potential lack of AA in Driveclub keeps me up at night"

Not to mention the character casts no shadow in the final build. From, you lost another customer. This is embarrassing.
First Sucker Punch, now this. What is Sony doing? Should Yoshida be worried come next investor meeting?
THE SKY IS FALLING! THE SKY IS FALLING!

With Demon's your spells just used MP versus Dark's system of charges. Not a big difference but something I liked better. Yeah jumping in the Nexus after every boss kill or Coop session was a bit annoying. Also the fact that server tendency could effect your personal game always irritated me. Sure it was cool that they could do Halloween and Christmas events but make it not effect my game besides those times.

Her set is pretty awesome. Glad I got it <3

Oh yeah, events are great, that is something I'd like to see coming back, even if there's no official tendency system.

Um, "concern trolls" have been a thing long before the PS4 reveal...
