WOOHOO! It's about time I caught on some of these deals before they go belly-up! First was that T-Mobile promotion that got me 3600 MS Points, now this!

BTW, Wal-Mart issued an internal memo yesterday that stated that under no circumstances would they price match the 1yr cards for $14.

Really? Did it recently change? Last year they were still able to do it while you were buying it, they just needed a manager to put in their code to do an override.
 
I'd ask for a code but all I got is a code for some UC3 multiplayer stuff...(which seems to be a discount on Multiplayer)

Apparently the activation system denies activating the PS+ card if it's below value, not sure if it does that on other cards that need activation
 
It would be so funny if you had to return one of those cards if they didn't register properly and with the numbers scribbled out on the receipt. XD

Once you scan it, its activated and the code is on the back. Just scratch it off like a scratcher. To deactivate it, they would have to scan it again which takes it off the register. Number on the receipt is just the number of the card on the back. Probably for inventory purposes.
 
I literally just grabbed one, no issues at all and no signs blocking deal anywhere. Just bring the card to a fun-ployee in the front and enjoy plus

Scan barcode at top and reprint receipt. Or look up by debit card.


Not sure why he didnt sensor the barcode lol
 
Now Im wondering though, the guy that rung me up, changed the price on his own without manager. Wondering if the card is activated? Didnt check the receipt.
In other words if he rang it up, I said it was 14.99 or whatever, and then he price adjusted on his own, will the card work, or you guys think I'll have to go back to the store. Never worked in retail.

He can't get a price on the register to change without it being activated.

Also, is the 15 months for 12 deal going or gone? I imagine they may have it again round Xmas time.
 
I think it would be a waste getting subscription more than January 2015 considering PS3 and/or PSN+ most likely would be obsolete and non-existent by then.

Unless of course PS4 and PSVita has PSN+ and they are transferable...

Success for me today at the store in Muncie, In. Didn't even have to leave the electronics area. Asked the dude if they would honor the ad, he looked it up, and bam! I was on my way out. Made up for seeing a copy of Monster Hunter Tri in the clearance bin for $5... :(

PS Vita is using Playstation Plus, I can confirm.

So it's only PS+ cards? Cause they can change the price of any other card including Xbox Live Cards and Points.
 
I have 5 @ 25 each (it'd be 20 if I didn't have to go on a wild goose chase to get the damn things!) if anybody's interested. First 5 PMs get 'em. I'd rather sell on GAF than get ~7 bucks more on eBay.
 
Meijer was completely cleaned out of them, so I couldn't price match, and Target had a posted notice over by the ad. I went ahead and tried the clerk anyway, but they called it in and heard the explanation, and I just gave up there, I don't have much luck chasing deals like that anyway.

I went to my city's Target last night looking for these things. They were mysteriously missing from Electronics and the $20 PSN cards were "spread out" to several pegs instead of just 1 or 2. I'm convinced that the store management either took them down temporarily or someone already cleaned them out of their entire stock.

Oh well.
