2If I decide to skip this one, which one of the older game should I play?
This shit is crashing CONSTANTLY on my 5090FE/9800X3D at 4k setup. Like, I'm lucky if I get 10 min of consistent playtime before Unreal crashes the game. I have no idea what else I can do to minimize the crashing. The game maxed out at 4k/DLSS on Quality hits 60ish fps outdoors. I'm using Frame gen x2 to get it up to 90fps and it feels and looks the exact same. Is there anything else I can try to do to minimize these crashes so I can actually play the game for more than 20 minutes? Did anyone have similar problems and fix it?
Also MSI 5090/9800x3d and crashes all the time anywhere from 1 min in to 5 min in.Just crashed for me (9800X3D/3090 at 4K). They just need to patch this.
YesDid they just release a patch? I just got a small update on Steam for BL4...
Also, why are the forums for BL4 on Steam locked by the devs? I've never seen that before...
Hmm I'm on a 9800X3D + PNY 5090 and I've only had one crash on initial startup of the game, about 12 hours in.Also MSI 5090/9800x3d and crashes all the time anywhere from 1 min in to 5 min in.
That might be why My game froze when I quit. My first issue. I quit the game and it started closing out then froze. Saw Steam had an update.
Have you overclocked and undervolted the RTX 5090? Both of these can cause crashes, and especially in this game because it consume nearly 600W all the time. Also MSI 5090/9800x3d and crashes all the time anywhere from 1 min in to 5 min in.

CDPR is most likely using Unreal Engine 5.6 which has a lot of performance enhancements over the games using UE 5 now. On top of that, they have a lot of technical mastery from working on their own engine so they should know how to get performance out.At the start of the console generation with that UE5 trailer it looked so promising. But I do recall DF back then saying this engine would be very taxing on console hardware, but it seems not only the consoles.
I really wonder how something like Witcher 4 will turn out. I honestly wish that dev had stuck with the engine they had, but alas. Hopefully it all works out, but.....
I knew something felt off, thought it was DLSS or MFG.Also, to turn off mouse smoothing
Documents > My Games > Borderlands 4 > Saved > Config > Windows > GameUserSettings.ini
add this to the bottom and save.
If it doesn't work put caps for the start of each word in ScriptEngine etc. Steam is formatting it weird.
[/script/engine.inputsettings]
EnableMouseSmoothing=False
ViewAccelerationEnabled=False
Just found out to get rid of them and had to find your post again. You'll get better guns as you go.
I should not have redeemed the gift rewards thing so soon, I dont' have the bank option yet and I'm stuck carring a couple of Legendaries I can't use till I get to their level.![]()
There was an update overnight, people saying it helped with pc performance. Cant test it right now
Yeah its more borderlands. I like the shooting and the open worldAre you liking the game?
What the fuck…. I crashed 4 times in 20 minutes. Gonna try this and see if it helpsMine crashed again after the update. I then deleted the shader cache and had the game rebuild it and so far after 15 minutes no crash. I am seeing a very small stutters when its loading new shaders which wasn't happening before so I believe the crashing issues is with the shaders.
yeap, but i think Borderlands 3 gunplay still better than this, idk it BL4 feels like its missing some impact.Yeah its more borderlands. I like the shooting and the open world
right from the first secondCan you play in co-op immediately or do you need to solo the prologue?
The patch doesn't seem to have changed anything for me… hopefully we can get a bigger/better one
The game is a ton of fun though, possible GOTY contender
How's the console performance, fellow peasants/
PS5 Pro, 60fps for the first 30 minutes - then starts chugging down to sub 30fps. A restart every 30 minutes solves it. Memory leak issue most likely. How's the console performance, fellow peasants/

No need to even quit the game! What I mean was quitting the session (start --> quit to menu) then continue your run!Wonder if Xbox suffers from this too. With restart you mean just closing the game and booting it up again or console restart?
even the Jacobs feels less "impactful" its like all guns have way less recoil, it feels oddJacobs
The only
Way
Hmm not sure i 100% agree.even the Jacobs feels less "impactful" its like all guns have way less recoil, it feels odd
I'm guessing it probably has something to do with development being easier on console with it.They really should have just made this on the engine they used for TTW and B3.
Wholly agree! Borderlands 4 is legitimately 20x better than 3 in every single way.both games shouldn't even be pronounced in the same sentence
XSX.
Shockingly poor default control settings. Seriously, beggars belief.
New movement options are great.
Thumb sore from hitting x to open all the containers - a truly borderlands experience.
Performance is all over the place, and fairy poor in large open areas. Disappointing, otherwise this could be quite a good offering!
What I used too![]()
Agreed amigo, and then I saw this and tried it. This works SO much better.
