Makeup artists would have a fun time getting a 33 year old man to look like a high school student. RJ Mitte already has the way-too-old-for-school bug that TV shows get.

I suppose yea. But for say a scene that's 1m 30 secs long, they could get away with it.

- AMC Content: Photos – Breaking Bad Exhibit at New York’s Museum of Moving Image
Last Fri., Jul. 26, the Museum of the Moving Image in Astoria, NY opened “From Mr. Chips to Scarface: Walter White’s Transformation in Breaking Bad,” an exhibit featuring costumes, props, and video material from the highly acclaimed AMC television series. The exhibit will be on view through Sun., Oct. 27, but if you can’t make it to New York, you can still see the exhibit courtesy of AMC.com’s photo gallery. Check out the photos now, which include shots of show creator and executive producer Vince Gilligan, who was on-hand for the museum’s opening event, “Making Bad: An Evening with Vince Gilligan.”

This show is masterful at misdirection. Remember all the teasers in season 2, where everyone thought they were foreshadowing a terrible explosion at the White household, with two bodies being bagged next to the Aztek? And how it really just turned out to be this mostly unrelated plane crash?

I actually wouldn't be surprised if the ending turned out better for Walt than what we're all expecting.

True, but with that hardware I would be disappointed greatly if we didn't see Walt shoot it.

I said several days ago that I didn’t think most Skyler hate was misogynistic, but the anti-Sky arguments make me think that it's a bigger factor than I thought.

Also, a spouse changing habits, disappearing for hours and starting to smoke weed will certainly garner a nuclear reaction from anyone.

Perhaps it's not misogyny so much as not knowing what a long term relationship is like.

By episode 1 she was tracking his phone and acting as paranoid as possible, not saying it was wrong of her to do those things, but she didn't even attempt to give him the benefit of the doubt.

I've been offline. I couldn't read that much misguided arguing and not chime in.

In an effort to avoid old arguments and spoilers both, I will recommend a book I just finished about showrunners called Difficult Men. Vincent Gilligan seems like one of the few pleasant people in the profession.

He changes his behavior radically after 20 years of marriage. He was lying (poorly) to her as well.

It's just really noticeable on re-watch how quickly Skyler becomes suspicious and paranoid.

If Walt tried tracking Skyler's phone after she'd been acting suspicious in the very first episode, I think most people would consider that pretty extreme and over the top.

Dearest BB devotees, I am bailing on this thread, because I have promised myself that, for once, I can make it through a few episodes with no spoilers.

SKYLER!!!!

Sick of the sight of her now and this George Clooney wannabe rat bastard.

I'm egging on Walt to start breaking faces, but he's not doing it.

She's the greatest villain in modern day history. I've never wanted someone to be impaled by a giant sword in all my life.

Hank needs to sort his shit out too.

I'll be back when I get to S4.

Peace out brothers

She *69'd a phone call Walt, for what we can assume is the first time ever, being very conspicuous about and was obviously lying about. Come on, he was all "SORRY BUT WE DON'T WANT THAT PHONE PLAN" all loud after being so quiet.

Walt was such a terrible liar. Had anyone done that around me, I would have assumed they were talking to someone they didn't want me knowing about. And perhaps she put them on the Do Not Call list too. :p

Upon re-watch, it became very evident how terrible Walt was at lying and hiding what was going on without looking suspicious which is why you noticed Skyler being so quick to notice something was wrong. Because it was pretty obvious.

I'd also like to point out Walt literally put a tracking device onto Jessie's car after looking on his phone.

Yeah, that's probably it. For some reason I did remember her taking a while to piece together that something was up.

The cool thing to watch is how Walt gets more comfortable lying as time go on. I think that's part of the take away. His early lies are bumbling and lack confidence, but by the time Skyler busts him it's almost second nature. She looks him dead in the eye, accuses him of being a drug dealer, and he starts to deny it without even thinking before catching himself. By the time he kills Gus he's ice fucking cold in the art of deception.

But yeah, he still had her fooled until incidently spilling the beans about the 2nd phone before his surgery, and even then she just thought he was having an affair with Gretchen. Confronting Gretchen she learned her & Eliott had paid for nothing. She calls Walt's mother, that being the only other place Walt could have gotten that type of money(legally), and learns Walt neither visited or told her he was sick. That was that.

I think Hank will experience something similar. Getting one real piece of the puzzle will quickly bring everything thing else into focus.

- NY Times: A Conversation with the "Breaking Bad" Cast and Vince Gilligan *might be some spoilers, tag discussion as appropriate*
Fans of AMC’s acclaimed cult series “Breaking Bad”: Don’t miss this chance to hear lead actor Bryan Cranston, his co-stars, Anna Gunn, Aaron Paul, Dean Norris, Betsy Brandt, R.J. Mitte and Bob Odenkirk, and the show’s creator, Vince Gilligan, talk with New York Times culture reporter Dave Itzkoff about the series, the characters and what’s coming. You know the final episodes begin Sunday August 11 on AMC, when Cranston’s character finds himself attempting to control a tenuous empire. But now you can know more.

Not buying any if this .

My criticism about Skyler aside, I do have sympathy for what's she's going through. Wouldn't lose sleep over her death, but I'm not wishing for it unless she tries to bring down Walt--in that case fuck her. I'd worship the acid vat she was dissolved in.
