I also am searching for (so WTB: ) A regular DS Lite.

My uncle is now convinced his little son is ready for a portable, and although too young for a 3DS, a DS is ok. Shamefully, my old one is...bad...to say the least (the old hinge is finally broken off.) Entertaining any offers for a working one (but no pink...his preference...=p)

I shall be paying for the item here on GAF, but I must be upfront and say it may be a slight delay, (one or two days max) as I have to get the money from him to send via Paypal...

Hey everyone! This is my first time posting in this thread, so I can't say I have any feedback here. That said, I've been a member on Cheapassgamer and MacRumors for 5+ years with lots of feedback and 100% perfect transaction history under "mattcube64" and I have 100% and nearly a decade of feedback on eBay under "mattandmacy". I'm very quick to ship (almost always within 24hrs, and sometimes even the same day) and I can always be contacted by email once we get a transaction going.

Anyway, sitting on just a couple items, and figured I'd list here to see if there's any interest.

First up is a Dell OEM AMD/ATI reference 5870 GPU. This was pulled from my Alienware desktop about two months ago when I replaced it with a GTX570. The 5870 was used for a little over a year and never gave me any problems whatsoever. I dabbled with *very* small OCs - always on stock voltage - but it usually ran at stock speeds. The card works 100%, but is sold as-is with no warranty. Looking at HardForums and elsewhere, these seem to sell for about $180-$225 or so. I'm looking for $180+shipping.

Secondly is a PS3 MGS HD collection limited edition, sealed. I bought this for a friend but he couldn't wait a couple days for me to get home from visiting my GF and bought a standard edition. I can still return the game for four more days EDIT: I think I actually have 30 days with Gamestop..., I think; but knowing they're hard to come by, and selling for quite a pretty penny, figured I'd offer it here and maybe make some $$. I'd like $140+shipping.

While we're all free here to sell what we want and charge what we want, pricing plays a huge role in how fast things move here. While it's not always the case, a lot of folks sell here to give other GAFers a deal to avoid the inflated prices of eBay, amazon sellers. If you really want to offload the MGS LE at that price, I'd probably recommend going the eBay route. :)

Other than one person, there wasn't much of a commotion when a red name did this. Coincidence or not, people should be smart enough here to either ignore that sale or post a link to a lower price. Just leave the poster be.

I definitely understand where you're coming from. I tried the eBay route, and it already seems like sellers are trying too hard to undercut and thus killing prices. I figured I'd list it here for a couple weeks while in my return window, to see if anyone wants it really bad and really fast (I seem o have a median price, and will definitely ship VERY quickly); as I could definitely use a few buck and I imagine eBay prices will stabilize and start rising again soon. That said, as I get closer to the expiration of my return period, I'd rather this go in the hands of someone who wants it rather than back to Gamestop, and so I'll definitely consider lowering the price right before returning it. I think that's a win/win for everyone; but please let me know if such a tactic is frowned upon in these parts.

I figured I'd list it here for a couple weeks while in my return window, to see if anyone wants it really bad and really fast (I seem o have a median price, and will definitely ship VERY quickly); as I could definitely use a few buck and I imagine eBay prices will stabilize and start rising again soon. That said, as I get closer to the expiration of my return period, I'd rather this go in the hands of someone who wants it rather than back to Gamestop, and so I'll definitely consider lowering the price right before returning it. I think that's a win/win for everyone; but please let me know if such a tactic is frowned upon in these parts.

It's not that it's frowned upon. Collectibles are sold here all the time. The problem seems to come from this: You want $140 + shipping which seems to be the going rate on eBay. What you probably failed to take into consideration is that eBay charges fees. They are going to take about 10% for selling and then paypal will take about 3%. Do the math and that seems to be somewhere around $15-20(i think, correct me if I'm wrong). Then there's shipping. I think it's fair to say that once all is said and done, you can make a solid $125 by selling on eBay when you are trying to make $140 here.

The main purpose of this thread is to get stuff you want all while providing fellows gaffers with a deal.
