Clearly you're a bit new around here, or oblivious, either or.

As for the pricing of that DLC, i dont see why people get up in arms about how other people do their pricing. I saw someone in here asking 60 dollars for a game that you can get on amazon for 30. Why even bother correcting them? Clearly no one will take them up on the offer and they will adjust accordingly. And if someone does? great! move on with life. Someone might want to spend 40 bucks for dlc, good for them, if not, not a big deal.

No, it's not great. Great for the price gouger but I think most people here don't want people to overpay for shit so they point it out. I like for people to get deals not pay double + what they should but that's just me.

It's not really price gouging if at some point people was paying for it. The demand was there, if it isn't now, then all it takes is a tilt of the hat. No need to make a big deal out of it.

Looking to sell:

Fallout 3 Xbox 360 Collector's Edition - used, but includes everything it should. Disc has some light wear but doesn't affect playing, etc. $35 shipped

Fallout: New Vegas Xbox 360 Collector's Edition - used, but includes everything it should. Disc has some light wear but doesn't affect playing, etc. $40 shipped

Buy both for $70 shipped.

PS - I hope these prices are OK per the price police.

OK, I'm going to offer a suggestion that I hope others can be on-board for.

In the future, if anyone has problems with pricing, how about you PM that person and give them some feedback. It'll take care of the issue at hand (pricing), while keeping it off the main thread. We all want this thread to be about buying/selling/trading, without all the other stuff.

I've only been a member of NeoGAF for a short while but seriously have enjoyed the transaction I've taken part in as part of this group. And I hope the folks who have bought from me or sold to me can say the same. All in all, let's get this thread back on track and have some fun. Cool?

I think if you are a GAF member, you're probably serious and savvy enough about games, where you aren't going to be ripped off like some grandparent being ripped off at Gamestop buying games for their grandkid.

Bitching about price is less about telling the seller that his price is too high and more about telling any potential buyers that they shouldn't buy it at that high of a price.

That's the way I see it, anyway.

Fair point. I hope, though, that the majority of folks here know what's a good/fair price for something. I offered up the suggestion for PM'ing a seller in the event that maybe the seller doesn't know their prices are overly high. I think that in the majority of cases the seller will get that info and changes their prices accordingly. Well, that's at least what I hope.

That's why I do it. I'm not saying that kind of pricing should be banned but if you sell a piece of bonus DLC or whatever at a very high price expecting some grumbling and just say "that's my price take it or leave it" and move on.

It's a thread about buying and selling, I see no reason why pricing discussion should be off limits. I don't think people get complaints too often (because generally people price stuff at good price points) so it's not an issue. Obviously, if every page starts getting shitted up with that stuff we should work on that but that's not what's going on.

We now have a thread dedicated to a $500 DLC from a developer. You really think people are just going to let it pass when an essentially (and possibly actually, I'm not sure how that particular code was distributed) free thing is being sold for $40? I don't see why it should.

Sell it at that price by all means...but expect some complaints when you do is what I'm saying.

Fair enough and well spoken. And just to clarify, the codes I was trying to sell were packed exclusively in the Legendary Edition of Halo Reach. I didn't get them for free, etc. But I guess that's beside the point. Ok, phew, done. Now let's buy something. Or sell something.

Hey everyone. Just wanted to go ahead and let you know that the NeoGAF User-Submitted Feedback List has been updated and is accurate as of this post. So I wanted to say two things, and then get to a couple more things that are long overdue.

  • If you go back for the last few pages and look at all the usernames, you'll notice that there's quite a few that have been banned. I'm not sure if the moderators are having banning practice, or if all the children of the Buy/Sell/Trade thread are just horrible elsewhere on the forums. But it is becoming a little problematic for this thread. Moderators don't check to see if you're engaged in a trade before they ban you. They just ban your ass. We had a situation where earlier this very evening, a user PM'd me in regards to someone they conducted business with being banned and not having many viable options to contact that user. The situation fortunately did get resolved, but it could have ended poorly. So basically, what I'm getting at is make sure that you have some way to contact the other party you're in a trade with in the event of your banning.

  • It's basically over now, but I did want to chime in quickly in regards to the pricing blood war that raged for about a page and some change here. In this thread, you are free to charge anything you want for any item you want. If I want to charge $100,000 for a Genesis copy of Sonic the Hedgehog, I can do that. But likewise, you are free to point out that it's available from another seller or another website for far less money, and publicly if you so desire. But no matter the case, you don't have to be ugly about it and start a huge argument over it. You could simply write "Are you aware that Genesis copies of Sonic the Hedgehog are available on eBay for about $7 on average?" and that could be the end of it. Truthfully, I've seen very few instances of gouging throughout this thread. I don't understand what the big deal was in regards to KoreanBarbecue's listing. Is that any worse than people selling a feather stylus that Nintendo gave away to loyal fans for like $25? Is that any worse than people selling copies of Earthbound for $100?

- Today's inductees aren't actually inductees. They posted that I forgot to give them a snazzy induction into NeoGAF Plus, and I reviled at myself in horror. So I'm going to try to make it right for them today.

  • Let's all acknowledge GrotesqueBeauty as a member of NeoGAF Plus! GrotesqueBeauty has ten positive feedback mentions that have accumulated within this thread. GrotesqueBeauty is actually best-known for being one of the four members of Zwan NOT named Billy Corgan. He frequently called Billy at all hours of the night telling him how awesome Zwan was doing. He may have inadvertently been responsible for the breakup of the Smashing Pumpkins and Billy Corgan's solo album. He's probably wanted for war crimes somewhere.
  • Let's all acknowledge Nightz as a member of NeoGAF Plus! Nightz actually has twelve positive feedback mentions within this thread, which marks the first time I've ever cited someone for more than ten! Nightz spent his whole life trying to break into the comedy film business. Unsuccessful, he vowed instead to be serious from here on out. He now only appears in films about the Holocaust, Georgia O'Keefe, or both.

YO! Invert that name listing! I am no longer admiring my second last listing :p:p

I demand equal time at the top for the Z's! Demand it I scream! :) Down with the ABC's!

Personally I say it's tacky to call someone out on their prices.

If their price is off from the market then it won't sell, and they will adjust accordingly. Leave it on the buyer to figure this out. It sounds like a "cold" way to deal with this, as this is a community and the spirit of this thread is not to turn massive profits on each other, but it's also not about making members feel bad/stupid about the prices they put up. Both buyers and sellers have an equal right to be "protected" in this thread and calling out prices is just bad form.

Selling stuff because money always helps. Items are always in great to almost-new condition, unless marked as new. I used to sell quite a few things here, to the point where I'm one of the NeoGAF Plus sellers. YAAAAAAAAY~!!!! Shipping charges are included in price, I accept Paypal and cash or check by mail. PM me if you're interested:

Child of Eden for the Xbox 360
: New, boom. $35

Persona 3 for the PS2
: Opened, the box holding the artbook+CD and the game has very visible scruffs, the artbook +CD and the game themselves are in very good condition, the least bit removed from like-new. $20

Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence for the PS2
: Opened, this is the Standard Edition with the 2nd disc that contains the now-useless Metal Gear Online mode, the Snake vs. Ape missions, the Secret Theater and the translated versions of Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake. $15

Famicom 20th Anniversary Original Sound Tracks Vol. 3
: A music CD with soundtracks to the following Famicom games: Shin Onigashima 1 and 2, Doctor Mario, Route 16 Turbo, Atlantis no Nazo, Madoola no Tsubasa, Mighty Bomb Jack, Solomon's Key, Castlevania, Meikyu Jin Dababa, Gyruss, Zanac, and the Famicom Disc Writer. I probably got a couple names wrong, $15

I'm looking for some stuff too:

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker soundtrack CD
Final Fantasy VII Piano Collections CD, Digicube printing edition
Goldenboy, the 2nd volume DVD and if there's a 3rd one, that too
Short Program volumes 1 and 2 by Mitsuru Adachi, a manga
Iron Man 1 Blu-ray, Ultimate Edition with the slipcase or the package art with Iron Man on the cover. Steelbook edition is preferred

Sucks to hear that we never got beyond book 1. Guess I'll hunt for the Japanese books 2 and 3 on my own then.

Somebody who can help me buy a Playstation Plus 12 months subscription via amazon.com?

Do you get a code or how does it work when you buy Playstation Plus subscription via Amazon?
and can you add it to a current subscription? I live in Sweden and amazon won't let me buy the item.

If it's possible I would appreciate if somebody bought the item, sent me the code and I pay the amount via paypal?

If this is the wrong thread, I would appreciate if you could direct me to the correct one.

XBOXLIVE 1400 Point MS Points Card CDN Code

Not sure if this is the place to attempt this but I just got back from a long weekend in the States (Live in Canada) and thought buying a 1600 Point card for $20 was a better deal then paying $20 for 1400 Points up here in Canada.

Sadly the points are only good for the country they are bought in so I am looking to make a swap.

Please PM me if you think you can accommodate me.

Thank you.
