Hey guys. Like my new "NeoGAF User-Submitted Feedback List is updated" image? I figured I can just post this whenever a significant update to that list is added, or when there's an announcement or two. In this case, there's actually a couple of announcements:

  • For purely aesthetic reasons, I have created two logos for the NeoGAF Plus and NeoGAF Gold program. Here's some larger images of both.

    5sLEP.png

    Oxq9p.png

They're not the greatest, I know. But I was genuinely tired of literally everyone I asked to help make images for the OP and for these flaking out on me. And I don't think they look too bad at all. We'll be using these whenever we welcome someone to either club. :)
  • Additionally, I've created much smaller versions of those logos that are now present on the User-Submitted Feedback List. Everyone who is a member of either club and everyone who will be will get those in their positive feedback columns now. Check them out if you like.
  • Finally, the User-Submitted Feedback List has been updated to be accurate as of this post.

I'm interested in an american PS3. Doesn't matter what HDD it has or anything, as long as it's cheap and working. I live in Yourop. Payment via PayPal.

Have:

Donkey Kong Jungle Beat (GC), new in box with Bongos with an extra set of bongos (also new in box).

Ace Combat 6 (360) Bundle w/ Flight Stick. I used it 3 or 4 times, realized I didn't have room for it, and it's in been in the box for the last two years.

Mushihimesama Futari (360, Region Free JP). Not the best hits version.

Grey Wavebird w/ Receiver (GC/Wii). Great shape, no stuck buttons or anything.

Platinum Wavebird w/ Receiver (GC/Wii). Great shape, no stuck buttons or anything.

Not sure what any of this stuff is worth, so please make offers. Will be trying to put up on eBay if it doesn't go before the weekend. Not really looking for trades at the moment.

Thanks!

Plus, Gold, etc.

I think we might need to increase the amt of 'good' sales before someone is added to gold. I can understand 'plus' being kept at 10.

I think everyone that's already in these clubs should be grandfathered in if there's a change. No worries either way-- good job on the hard work you've put in.

There should be something in the guide about communication.

Nothing is more annoying to a buyer than a seller that just peaces out instead of providing some closure to the communication. The situation is usually this: seller says "make me an offer" on something, buyer sends PM, seller just doesn't respond.

Don't like the price the buyer offers? Just say so instead of not responding. Takes all of two seconds and lets the buyer know they can move on to other sellers. "Make me an offer" is annoying in itself (most things have average prices that everyone can find, with obvious exceptions) but it gets really annoying when you don't know if your offer was too high, low, or whatever.

sorry for the rant. This is something I've experienced on every trading forum and auction site and just now with my first attempt at buying something on GAF. :\

Totally agree, I doubt an interested buyer will get offended by a rejected offer

I'm sorry to read about that. I did mention something about it in the Beginner's Guide towards the end, though. If you want, you can PM me and I'll send a PM to that seller asking if everything's all right. Maybe that will help.

I never reply to people who say "offer me" - chances are they just want eBay prices.

No, sorry. I'll go on eBay if I want to spend eBay prices.

You should try to prevent me from doing that, seller of used goods.

Name a price, and stand firm. If someone will pay that, they will come forward.

No problem, it's not your fault. Don't worry about the PMs. If I feel like bugging them, I will, but they're not very deserving of my business in my eyes. It's the equivalent of shitty customer service that makes you not want to deal with a company again.

I don't usually go for "make an offer" sellers, unless its something hard to come by.

I'd like to clarify that I'm not telling people to not have "make an offer" lists, sellers can do whatever works. just that I personally pass these up because they're often very tedious to deal with (especially when you get a response saying you undershot it and that ebay's price is blah blah blah--just make it that price then!)

I wanted to take a very brief moment to publicly thank one of our members. I asked about three people on NeoGAF to help make banner images and thread pictures and things like that. All three agreed, and all three never got back to me again. Last night, this person sent me an unsolicited PM, asking if he could help out with the thread. Thrice-bitten, quad-shy, I told him that I appreciated his offer, but I didn't want to impose on him. I also didn't want to get my hopes up again.

After all, the images that I made were not the best, but I feel like they scale well, look good on MobileGAF, and was far better than having nothing. But he insisted, and came through today. All the images that you see in the OP were created by the B/S/T's own TSAGoodness. He's also working on some other images that will be up in the future. And I'd be remiss if I didn't take this opportunity to properly thank him, because he's better than the graphic designer the Buy/Sell/Trade deserves, but he's the one it needs right now...and so we'll thank him, because he can take it. Because he's not a flaker. He's a silent benefactor, a watchful artist...a graphic designer.

Want to leave some super positive feedback for Ermac. I bought his laptop and he was flexible, prompt, gave me a great deal, and was happy to lose a few bucks on a PayPal transaction so I could get buyer protection. And he gave me a great deal!

I'm planning on buying a copy of Marvel vs. Capcom 3 from a fellow GAF member here and rather than continuing with my habit of just using a controller, I believe it's time I learn to use an arcade stick. I know there are a few people in this thread who sell them semi-regularly, whether it's ones they modify for sale or old ones they're retiring in favor of their new hotness. I'm a beginner user so I don't know if I'll need something ultra-tuned, but I'd like something that at least gives me a good idea of how well I can perform with a stick as opposed to a pad.

I'm going to be buying a PS3 version of the game most likely, so I won't if someone might be selling a PS3 stick?

Oh yeah! Also, I have someone that was willing to give me a pristine Street Fighter Anniversary collection stick (used it on his XBox) if I can find a way to get it working on the systems I'll need it for. Is there a way, without a huge amount of knowledge, to get those old ones working on the current gen systems?

To be quite honest the best stick dollar for dollar is the Tournament Edition types from MadCatz. Markman, a fellow gaffer, is the man behind these sticks at madcatz, and you can see him at almost every event helping the fighting game community out.

I've had my TE for over a year and have had 0 issues with it. Quality in every part of it from parts to design. They usually can be found for around $99.99 off their store during a tournament event. I know Canada cup is coming up March 19th I believe it is and maybe MadCatz will do promos for that so you can get a discount.

Also, if you haven't bought a version of MvC3 yet you may want to go with the 360 edition. The word I've read both here on Gaf and over on fighting game forums is that the online portion of the game is a smoother experience on 360. Just something to consider.

PM me back if you have more questions about arcade sticks.
