As somebody that works at GameStop, I can already tell you that I've used this thread several times in order to purchase items. Mostly because it can be very, very hard to get items in pristine condition at GameStop. And if you do, chances are it's a new release.

DS's in particular tend to come in lousy shape. Lots of child-owned systems that are scratched to hell and back.

He tells me he'll get the game out next Monday.

Nothing happens and all my other emails are ignored. So basically scammed me and few others. Sadly I paid Gift since he did have 100%FB then. Up to now, he has ignored all emails. Im fucked, I know my bad. Only me to blame. But there's nothing to do here? How would I get his address and maybe phone #? Or should I just let it go? Its just $10 but it pisses me off this guy can do this BS.

Try searching on Facebook with his email or name. Aside from going detective on him, you pretty much are boned. That's why you really arent supposed to do gift unless you really know the person.

Yea it was my fault. People on CAG still pay gift if the sellers have tons of + fb just that the mods dont want it.

If the $10 was made via credit card you could do a chargeback with your credit card company claiming it was fraud. Paypal will attempt to get back the $10 regardless of if it was gift as they will now be out the $10.

I am really sorry to hear about that but there's nothing PayPal can do to help you out. You have his email, as you paid him. I am guessing you have his real name as well. Try searching various social media networks for his real name, try searching his username on CAG. Alert the moderators at CAG if you haven't already.

And yeah, contact your credit card company IF you used it. They may be able to help you. Also, what was this guy's username? I might could cross-reference it with users here to see if anybody here knows this guy or something.
