All goddamn night it has been. I will be the first to admit I am not great at the game but between the lag and the fact I cannot walk 20 fucking feet without being shot in the back or the side I had 15 matches in a row where I went negative in TDM.

There is just nothing remotely fun about playing the game for me. Same shit over and over. Get screwed by lag, kill a guy and get lit up two seconds later by 3 guys, walk 20 feet get shot in the back or the side. I am literally raging 95% of the time I am playing. I am done with this game. Amazon is giving me 30 bucks for it. I paid 49 for it so the way I look at it I spent 19 bucks to rent this broken game for a little over two weeks.

When is it every really 'good'?

BLOPS 2 is turning out exactly how BLOPS1 was for me. I started off using SMGs running and gunning but as time went, the netcode broke down, forcing me to use ARs and essentially resorting to a slower paced game style to counter the netcode. There's no point in using SMGs when I could be seconds slower than another person.

This game is a mess and the lag was bad all night. I am literally yelling at my 80% all the time because I am mad. I sound like a mental patient. What makes even less sense is that I am pissed 90% of the time when I play yet I keep going back to the game. The only way I can end this madness is trading the game in which I am doing. I am addicted to the game and if I kept this game it would be just about the only game I play until the next COD comes out. It is pathetic.

I rarely had any complaints about lag before to be honest, but today was the first time where I was putting multiple bullets into people with no feedback whatsoever, it was bizarre, but I guess a more common occurrence for others.

I traded in mw3 in July which was somewhat of a big step for me lol. But yeah after two weeks with this game it is just not for me. The thing is that I do try like hell just to just enjoy the game and not get mad. I just cannot do it. There is only so many times I can get screwed by lag or shot in the back over and before I lose my mind.

What did it for me was playing on cargo someone jumped down, as he was jumping down i put about 10 shots in him. He landed and killed me with a shotgun. Replay showed me shooting about two shots. I spawned, walked about 20 feet and was shot from the side. That is when I knew was trading this in. Too many lows and not enough highs for me to enjoy this game.

No idea, but I've decided to avoid playing until something gets done. Unloading whole clips into someone and they don't die is too irritating. No point in bothering with it until they do something about it.

You know you can retrieve those with Black Hat, right?

I had one fall OFF THE CLIFF AND INTO THE OCEAN in the Yemen map and I WAS ABLE TO GET IT BACK.

If you don't like carrying a Black Hat or two around (you should) you can have a backup class with Black Hat just for getting the package back. Just kill yourself and go back to get it if it was something good.

When it comes to LMGs, SMGs, and ARs:

Headshot camos = use laser sight and aim slightly higher than you normally would. I find FFA and Multi Team modes to be the best because there are less (or no) people on your team and plenty of opposing players. I find the headshot camos to be the most annoying because they can take upwards of a third of a single prestige. Somewhat luck dependent.
Double kills = Ground War and other objective game modes are the best gametype for this. People bunch up around flags and dog tags.
No perk camo = Use primary gunfighter. Doesn't count as a perk. You can load up on lethals and tacticals as well and ditch the laser sight if you prefer finally ADSing.
No attachments = Really easy. Perks are stronger than attachments. Use the three Greeds + 6 perks + your gun.
Revenge kills = You'll get this gradually over time. Hard to really strive for this camo. FFA will maximize your chances though.
Bloodthirsty = FFA is absolutely the best for this. Unless you get put into a lobby with really good players (and that does happen) you should be able to get 5 kill streaks in no time. Remember to keep moving (I recommend Fast Mags, Ghost, Engineer, and Lightweight for FFA), and in FFA knowing your spawns is absolutely imperative. Don't just turn around after you kill somebody. Turn around and head in that direction too. Take a small portion of the map and make laps around it. That way you're securing an area while not staying in the same spot either.

Getting 5 kill streaks that way is more common and less nerve-wracking than getting 1 or 2 and sitting in a building or moving around corners not knowing where the enemy is.

I got my fourth gold last night, the Ballista. I cannot describe to you how painful it was to get those 10 bloodthirsty medals.

Get the one hit kills with the semi auto shotgun in HC.

I hate these two with a passion so I actually do them both at the same time, especially since ARs need 150 kills for either.

Mw3 was the first Cod (post mw1) that I gave up on. I think somewhere around May I was just over all the bullshit and took a cod/fps sabbatical. Was hoping Blops2 would bring me back, sigh I wish they had at least put a Blops1 style combat training that allowed you to rank up and what not separate from the online ranking.

I have been playing MW3 all day and it is pure bliss compared to BO2.

What do you guys think is the best killstreak layout?

I've been playing around a bit and i believe vsat-lodestar-vtol is the best.
I can get them really consistently like every match, or if i have a bad game, every other match and once you get the vsat, the rest are pretty much guaranteed.

Dogs average about 5 kills for me per time i call them in. I actually think i've called in 7 and only gotten 35 kills, so that's a waste.

Lodestar i had 8 times used for 34 kills at first, but now it's at 10 times for 69 kills.

Vtol i have 20 times used for 169 kills.

Swarm i've used 10 times for 67 kills, which is worse than my lodestar! It's really boom or bust. I've had a swarm thats gotten me 19 kills and 12 kills, but i also have had swarms that got me 2 kills and 3 kills.

Stealth chopper, hellstorm and lightning strike both fall into the 2-4 kill category.

UAV is what people who aren't great at getting killstreaks should be using.

Hunter Killer i've called in 55 times for only 27 kills, so not good for me. RCXD also falls into the 1 kill per time called in category.

Escort Drone i haven't used yet because of the glitch, but i'm not a fan of choppers that follow you, like the overwatch.

War machine is really good. You can tube people spawning from a distance, but half the time i think i could've gotten the kill with my regular gun.

I think i pretty much covered all the main killstreaks. Do you guys like different setups? If so why?

I only use UAV/Hellstorm Missile/Lightning Strike or UAV/Counter UAV/Lightning Strike

I don't bother with high killstreaks because I never get them when I equip them. Then when I run those two setups, I usually get a godly streak going. Might start switching out the UAV for the VSAT just so I can remember my old Black Ops 1 days (ran CSP/Napalm Strike/Blackbird because I like supporting the team)

Awful/even worse connection problems all day. How can this shit be so broken when they've basically just been releasing the same game for 6 years? Decided to play Hitman: Absolution instead. It was a good choice.

Lately, when playing Kill Confirmed with friends, I would use vsat > K9 > Swarm, and it's been working out pretty well. As soon as I get vsat, I know i'll AT LEAST get dogs. The other day I was able to go 50/1 after calling in this set of scorestreaks twice in the match. I've never had so much fun running around and collecting tags, lol. Your points go up so quick. Kill Confirmed is easily the best game mode for me. Now I just want to see it in HC...

K9 - 21 times used and have gotten 131 kills.
Swarm - 6 times used and have gotten 50 kills.

Unlocked both of those with a token after I prestiged. It's paid off so far.

If I'm not using the above combination, sometimes I would swap out vsat for stealth chopper instead.

I have yet to use a lodestar or an escort drone but I'm about to do so in order to complete some challenges.

War Machine is so fun but good luck if they have flak jacket lol. They eat those if they're using that perk.

Somehow I have the gold camo on my DSR 50 sniper unlocked without having all the other camos unlocked. It unlocked when I prestiged my main level and bought the gun again.

If you can build you kill streak fast enough you can have 2 sentrys, and lock down one side of the map. I REALLY like the ARG as well. People seem to over look it, but its amazing. If you leave it to do its own thing, you might get 4 or 5 kills, but if you take control... hot damn you tear shit up. It has a 1 hit KO rocket as well as its main gun, so you can shoot continuously and destroy the enemy team, especially on maps where people bunch, like meltdown and hijacked

I also unlocked the swarm, but have been pretty disappointed with it. Warthog doesn't do anything for me. I get 3-4 kills if i'm lucky. Usually it's only 1 or 2. Dragonfire can be powerful if people don't know how to shoot it down and if you fly it well. Your dogs average about 6 kills, which to me isn't worth how much score it's worth, when i can get more kills with lower killstreaks. I'm sure you've called in some at the end of a match just for the points etc... but i'm still disappointed with only 7 kills from them too.

I can't believe i left this one out!
I average more than 10 kills per AGR, but i've stopped using it cause i can't be bothered to use something that you drive around and takes you out of the game like that, which is exactly why i didn't use recon drone in MW3.

TDM is the hardest mode to get killstreaks. A chopper is 11 kills in that, which is ridiculous. If you play the objective in objective game modes, you can get them really quickly. Planting and destroying a bomb in demolition is 500 score and that's already halfway to a vsat, when using hardline. Hardpoint captures are 200 score each, so those can add up as well. A vsat is a 10 killstreak with hardline and i sometimes get one before even getting a bloodthirsty medal, just cause i'm playing objective.

Indeed. That was one of the worst things I've ever seen in CoD. It's especially disappointing after how good the BLOPS1 post-credits is.

You should be able to pull off higher streaks in Domination if you're securing a couple flags. Kill Confirmed gives you a lot of low-risk high-reward points as well (50 a kill, 100 a dog tag, 50 a deny). TDM is tougher for pulling that off though unless you're playing with a bunch of babbys (which you'll be doing come Christmas time)

Other tip is to use Engineer + Black Hat. 25 - 50 points a hack. And you might get a lucky kill from a hacked Betty.

And it goes without saying but use Hardline. Something like +20% for every batch of points you get. That shit adds up. It's math, bro.

Ok, about an hour ago the game kick me out with a message saying that the game setting changed, now I'm trying to find a game but it just keep searching forever in anymode. I'm on PC btw. Somebody with the same problem? My connection preference is set on Normal.

Edit: Nvm, file integrity check fixed it

Had some good luck tonight on Wii U. Lag comp and spawns only cost me a few deaths. Other than that, I had some decent games of SnD, Kill Confirmed, and TDM. And I know it wasn't so bad on my opponents' end either since we were chatting in the lobby and joking around.

When this game is working, it's really fun.

As for scorestreaks, the modes I play the most are SnD and TDM, neither of which lend themselves to high scorestreaks. I refuse to run Hardline, and I'm more of a support player in general, shooting down air support and such.

For SnD, I run UAV, Hunter Killer, and Hellstorm Missile. For other modes, I tend to run UAV, CUAV, and then a third streak. Mostly Guardian when I'm feeling campy and AGR when I'm feeling offensive. Got a Sentry gun on Kill Confirmed though tonight, and that thing went to work.

It's being like this since COD4, not sure where you heard otherwise.

In Black Ops 2 you keep you weapon attachment unlocks and weapon camos when you prestige. Did you even read the warnings before prestiging? It gives you like 3 of them.

Rented this (PS3 version), gave it a few rounds in multiplayer, won some matches and didn't totally get my ass kicked in more than two rounds, but I'm liking the campaign so far.

Moving the story into the future and the cheesy Sci-Fi is fun to watch and play. I'm aware I'm part of the minority that plays the campaign, but I'm liking it so far.

Unless I run into Khe Sahn barrels part deux, then I'll fucking hate it.
